Awesome shots! Hopefully I can get my alternator switched out this week and make it out next weekend
-
I did this on my Mac, and while it does take a few seconds for the video to begin (as the article states) I can now watch 1080 without buffering. Before, I would have to let things sit a few minutes to get all the way through just a couple minute clip.

Ha, your road is terrible. Maybe it's the same scum that got your neighbor, and that's where they blew their first tire. Thanks all for looking out.

Hey everyone, I live near Grandview in a 4 family building. One of our neighbors was robbed yesterday while I was home and, long story short, I heard suspicious stuff so I took down what info I could on their car. They were too far away to get the plate though. If you could keep an eye out for an 09-current Mazda 3 sedan, gray, with a spare donut tire on the front driver side it could be a huge help, especially if you could grab the plate number. http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i169/1fynzx/2010-mazda-3-sedan-photo-233384-s-1280x782_zpsf4a18b31.jpg Thanks!

I live really close to Aab and it is good, however when really craving indian food I head to Cumin at Polaris behind the Krispy Cream. Never had something bad there.

Seriously?! I have a copy and had no idea. Over Thanksgiving my brother and his wife were in town so we broke out the N64 and played Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, and Conker's. It was the first time in many years I had gotten it out and it was crazy to see the graphics and how bad they were compared to my childhood memories.

Bobby Moynihan, who was on SNL so I'm guessing it is from there.

Just to throw it out there real quick... http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i169/1fynzx/maxima.jpg

I had a slow 70-300, I think somewhere around the f6 range, and as I started getting paid to shoot sports I went for the (Canon) 70-200 2.8. What I lost in range I easily gained back by being able to drop iso and crop in later and still have a better image the the slow 300mm. I have just recently really started making decent money with photography, so I can understand the apprehension to dropping serious money on glass. My first real money drop was on my $1800 70-200 2.8 but that is the lens I pick up 90% of the time, and it has more than paid for itself. All this rambling boils down to a vote for a shorter focal length, faster lens. Even with the added weight, you will never regret it. Also, mpex is the local camera shop on high street. mpex.com

The Donovans should tell the other family that if they can throw a Hula Hoop over the chimney they get the house back... /possiblyobscuresimpsonsreferece

Just ordered one through my account and one through my girlfriends. FWIW the Apple Store App on iPhone went straight through for those still trying.

What's your opinion on a repaired lens's resell value?
1fynz replied to 1fynz's topic in The Digital Darkroom
I was hoping this would be the case, especially after having to send it back as it still was exhibiting some issues, but I still have my original copy. -
Hey all, A while back my Canon 24-70 f2.8 was knocked off a table. The lens barrel bent, and the lens was possibly back-focusing, but more than likely that problem existed within the 7D body that was attached during the accident, as the lens didn't exhibit the same issue on other bodies. I have been eyeing the new Tamron 24-70 2.8 with their Vibration Compensation, as the image quality doesn't seem far off the canon, and with the amount of video I do the VC would be invaluable. With Canon finally updating their 24-70 and still not incorporating IS, it doesn't seem that will happen anytime soon. My question comes down to how much, if at all, the history of my 24-70 would be reflected in the resell price. I obviously don't expect to recoup my costs of repair, but with the lens being hand checked and calibrated by Canon, which some send their brand new lenses in for, is this detrimental to the resell value?

"Everyday" we go about our lives. Really? N. Korea and incorrect grammar?

Weddign Photographer being sued for 300K (blackmail?)

Disgusting. Also, I want to see the pictures -
I went with the Panasonic GX1 for a camera to take with me everywhere when I didn't want the bulk of my 7d. It has far and away been one of my favorite purchases. Paired with the 20mm f/1.7 the thing takes incredible pictures. The smaller sensor certainly has drawbacks, ISO performance at the top of the list, but as a compliment to a DSLR it is exactly what I was looking for. I am intrigued by this though, as I do have a lot of EF lenses, however the lack of physical buttons is off-putting.

This. I saw Twister in the theaters when I was 6 and was scared out of my mind of storms for a long time, but now I can't get enough. I've looked up some chasing tours companies offer out west and other options, but I just want to see this so bad.

^Welp, I'm never coming into this thread again.

Entertaining any trades? Say for a 1990 Nissan 300zx Twin Turbo. Around 70k miles on the motor, 5 speed, new paint, new interior.

Got one, thanks for the help guys!

Hi all, My girlfriend put her 3GS through the washer and we need a replacement. Any color, any condition really, as long as it works. Trying to keep this cheap since she wants to wait for the new iPhone this fall, so if youve upgraded and have one lying around I'd love to take it off your hands. We leave for Chicago Tuesday so if we could get this done tomorrow that would be great, I'll have money in hand. I'll be checking local ads, too. Thanks! Mark

I had a T1i and can say that I had the same issue. I came to the conclusion that it was all on the camera. The single image processor combined with the fact that I shot RAW meant the camera couldn't keep up with the shots I was taking. I have since moved to a 7D with dual processors and haven't had the problem, though the comparison isn't fair because it uses compact flash cards which are faster than most SD cards anyway. But, I would still say that the camera processors are the issue, not so much the card.

Love the shots! Looks good as always.
