  1. I was pulled over a few years ago in Dublin and given a ticket(no warning:fuuuu:). They were also mentioned at one of those random vehicle safety checkpoints last month in Delaware.
  2. Nice shots. I think Berto is right, here. It definitely looks like the focus was just set on the porch or house and due to larger aperture opening of f/4 the depth of field left the dog out of focus.
  3. Hopefully nowhere soon! :megusta:
  4. Awesome, I'll make it to one soon and make a new video. I've gotten a lot of new equipment and experience since making the one up there now...to the point that that one makes me cringe. Can't wait to get out there this year.
  5. Midwest Photo Exchange on High St. Only take in the money you need for the item you want, or you will leave with a lot more than you expected:fuuuu: mpex.com
  6. I do. For just over a year now, wish I had gotten in sooner but I'll take the gains I have made!
  7. I know you're not worried about copyright at this point, but this list is fantastic, and many of sites are searchable by the feel, tempo, genre, etc. Plus in the future if you do ever publish you'll be familiar with the sites. It does take some clicking around to find the right thing, but that's half the fun. http://fstoppers.com/bookmark-the-best-free-and-pay-music-websites-for-video-editors
  8. Despite being written about the Canon system all of the rules still apply. This read changed by life....in a flash:fuckyeah: http://photonotes.org/articles/eos-flash/index.html
  9. This thread is more entertaining than the game. Only watching game to get this thread's jokes at this point.

    Drive

I felt the same when I went to see fast & furious but watched 2 hours of civics and 30 seconds of Charger. I did really enjoy Drive though.
  11. I've been looking into them and from my own research and talking to others, the hero 2 is the way to go. I need a new tripod, otherwise I'd be picking one up.
  12. Agreed on 200 being the minimum focal length. The 70-200 2.8 IS is the most versatile lens in my bag, and certainly worth every penny. Apart from being great for the types of work you're talking about, the fantastic compression it gives to portraits is also a huge plus if you ever get into that. If you want/need to save a few hundred the Sigma 70-200 2.8 seems to get pretty damn good reviews as well for around $700 less.
  13. Saw this car a lot in the past few weeks with all of my trips to Polaris. Couldn't help but think it would be a nice pair to my yellow Z. Congrats.
  14. This. Our apartment in Delaware was covered with spiders on the outside during the summer, and there were a ton of these centipedes around. I'd have to take a centipede outside from the living room every couple of days, but I never saw a spider around the house. I'm convinced it was due to the centipedes, so they got to live when I found them, I just put them out by the spiders to help clean up. Nasty little things though.
  15. I've wanted an E38 ever since Tomorrow Never Dies. One of the best looking sedans that will ever be produced.
  16. So nice. I'd say you just fixed the last imperfection on your car, so you better put up some more trophy shelves!
  17. Costco had large cases of it according my friend, not sure of size or cost, but it was <$1 a bottle. Membership required though if you don't have one.
  18. Hanging around the upper 160s. Not really looking to lose any more, just put some muscle back on. It feels great because at this point I know I will never let myself go back. It's too much a part of my life now. Finished up the program last month. It is really hard but as long as you do your best you come out feeling great. I only lost about 4 pounds over the course of it, but definitely toned up a great deal. I got it for $40 off craigslist, and it was well worth it. I enjoy P90X a lot more for muscle building, and Insanity for cardio. Insanity makes the P90X cardio exercises seem weak, so I've created a hybrid of the two replacing P90X cardio days with Insanity workouts. I'm loving it so far. And fantastic work, Veritas.
  19. This. I'm even contemplating moving down to 16gb because I have an iPad and rarely use my phone for anything other than communicating rather than the off time my iPad isn't with me.

    RIP Steve

While Cydia may have physically been around before hand, I don't feel like apple went into the iPhone not fully intending to create the app store down the road. And Steve's death will never show up in a commercial or a special edition, IMO. That doesn't at all follow apples marketing, and I bet Steve would be pissed if that happened. He was never about that kind of cheap marketing.
  21. I don't think I could ever get sick of watching that commercial. And if I ever win the lottery, Im buying a DB9 and Jeremy Clarkson so he can read me bedtime stories every night.
  22. Im pretty sure I've got a foosball in storage that Id donate. It isn't anything really nice and might need a little elbow grease, but I think it'd be a good start.
  23. As far as what you can do to work with your flash, read this if you haven't. http://photonotes.org/articles/eos-flash/index.html It's long, but it changed the whole way I use my flash. I actually bought a flash and was so frustrated with the pictures I was getting that I didn't put it back on the camera for six months until I read this. Now the flash rarely comes off.
  24. Depending on the camera you may need to go to midwest photo exchange. They carry a DSLR version for heavy cameras.
