First off, congrats. And going off of what Mensan posted, just be there for her. That's the most important thing. As a father of 3 boys, I would highly recommend buying as much stuff as you can before the actual delivery. Start buying diapers, and stockpile them - you can NEVER have too many. Buy clothes, toys and a crib. Most important thing, just be there for her, and remember to PM if you need anything. Good Luck!

I am going after a cleaner, less-ricey look for my `06 Saturn ION Redline. I currently have the hi-rise aero spoiler. It's been on the car since I bought it in Aug 2006. It is in very good condition, with no scratches or dings anywhere. http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b224/azn_ladie82/cars/DSC03079.jpg I would prefer a trunk swap with a spoiler-less silver ION coupe (doesn't have to be a redline). I will sell it for very very cheap ~ $50 OBO plus the wing-less trunk in trade. If nobody bites on that, then if someone could suggest a local body shop to fill in and re-paint the holes, I'd go that route too. Someone suggested (a while ago) to buy some plugs, in case I ever wanted to put the spoiler back on. But I just want to get rid of it. So, if anyone knows someone with a spoiler-less silver ION coupe, or can help me by referring a body shop to help out... Thanks!

usually it just goes til everyone is bored. some people only stay for a little bit, some stay the night. the meet starts at 1 and last time it went til 430 before we went to QSL. stayed there for an hour or two then went to MM

If you want to come check it out, you are more than welcome to. Last April's meet had probably a good 90 or so cars, mostly from Ohio, but some from as far away as Virginia, and St Louis. Lots of decently quick (read "not fast") cars there. We usually go out to Quaker Steak in Polaris for food afterwards and to Magic Mountain for the evening. Feel Free to come. on a cold start, the car idles just fine, and during driving, it runs perfectly fine and idles fine at stoplights. however, right after logging and loading up a new tune, the car runs like shit. wideband is showing it real lean (16.5-18+) and it has significant idle surge. after you start driving again, it runs fine. it is ONLY when restarting a warm engine after loading up a change in a tune. also... if i do a long 3rd gear pull, say from 2k rpms and up, it will knock like crazy, starting about 3k rpms and having a domino effect the rest of the way through the pull. BUT, if i do a 2-3 gear pull, it won't knock at all. any ideas? btw... car is as follows : 06 ION Redline TVS w/3.1" pulley K&N CAI LS4 TB 79 lb/hr lucas injectors GMPP dual pass intercooler endplate/opt B/secondary heat exchanger diamond 9.5:1 pistons cometic headgasket/arp headstuds stock exhaust manifold/2.5" cat-less downpipe/stock cat-back car is being tuned through hp tuners by myself. if you have hpt and want to see logs/tune then pm me

I do about 95% of my own work, and anybody that knows me knows it's more than just bolting on an intake and changing brake pads. I recently replaced pistons/intercooler/set timing (thanks to Gearhead) and am currently tuning myself. About the only downside to doing your own work is there's nobody to blame for your motor blowing up except for you... :bangbang: Thanks again for your help sir. I was a lot more confident starting it up for the first time after the rebuild after your help.

UPDATE : took off the valve cover and found 2 headstuds had worked them selves loose. tightened back down with some red locktite and no more coolant issues noted as of yet... been 3 days now

I forgot to put that it only gets low if I beat on it, putting it into boost a lot. Normal driving it stays at a healthy level

Looking for someone who can help with testing the radiator / cooling system on an 06 Saturn ION Redline with the 2.0L Supercharged I4. I have a small coolant leak that I am 99% certain is not going through the headgasket and have a slight amount of coolant by the overflow drain hose by the tank. The radiator cap is good, AFAIK, I'm just lost on what's causing the leak. No white smoke on startup/idle/revving, and no coolant in the oil or cylinders during a recent compression test. If you can help, please let me know. Thanks!
