All went well, had to drive a truck with a trailer to get the turd home, smoking deal, but the car would have been worth 3 times the money if the guy, a)didn't try to part it out himself and, b)didn't open the engine up "to see what was inside" I shit you not, his exact words, just cost himself 2k....... Bike riders a moron, cars in the intersection have the right of way, even if the opposing traffic has a green light, i.e., they were in the intersection first.

The law leaves some loop holes as to required equipment, and specifically, equipment that is a violation today that wasn't in violation the year prior to the vehicle being manufactured, window tint is a good example.... if the car is a 79' model, window tint laws didn't exist, hence, you can put 5% on every piece of glass as long as it's tagged with historical or collector vehicle plates. Historical plates will give you the opportunity to run plates of the same year as your car, but the license # of those needs to be on file with the DMV. Are you less likely to get a ticket with them, it would depend, if I worked a specific shift, and saw your car every day at the same time, I could time line the events, make a stop, confiscate the plates and impound the car, but someone would have to be a huge dick, or bag of them, to get themselves in that position. Keep in mind, there are guys that devote their whole shift to writing tickets, as many as they can, you don't want to become their newest hobby, just don't do stupid shit, and all should be well.

I've done several deals off this board, always met up in a parking lot someplace. I have only done one deal with someone I felt was sketchy, did my homework first, changed up locations on him within the last 20 minutes, had 2 buddy's 100+ yards out to deal with shit if it went south.... seriously......

I carry it everywhere, every day. It is super lightweight, which was the biggest plus for me, and, has more than enough stopping power. As a BUG, I carry this in a pocket holster. I have never had the hammer snag, but it does get dusty in that application.

I qualified with mine as a backup, my range guy refused to shoot it, told me I was crazy to use it as a backup. LOLZ

If there was no one around and you almost stopped, more than likely not. IMO, there are minor infractions, then there are those that never even slow down for a stop sign, just roll through it like its a suggestion.....

I don't work in a jail. I have stopped my fair share of LEO's for stupid crap, we are all human, we all do things we shouldn't. To not admit that I don't make mistakes or do random dumb stuff would make me a liar. The last ticket I got was from a speed camera, I was running late for a doctors appointment, got tied in in construction traffic as their was a crash, when I got on a main road, 4 lane, I went above the posted limit in an effort to not loose my appointment. I kept my appointment, but got a $87 speeding ticket for the effort. I was stopped for loud exhaust last summer by a local PD, we did not know each other, I don't fly FOP plates/emblems/stars, he was looking for a DUI, he saw a shiny car he had never seen before, and figured he would go fishing, no big deal, at least he was being proactive, had I got a ticket, I would have paid it and/or changed the mufflers, it's loud but sounds good. I don't stop people for things I consider a waste of time, loud exhaust is one of them, not 15 over, "if" I stop you, it is generally a warning, unless your suspended, DUI, have a gun in your waistband etc.

Well......technically, yes. But I still do stupid shit and get stopped. I will say I have never played the "professional courtesy" card, if I get a ticket, it's because I own it.

One of my favorites is when asked "Do you know why I pulled you over?" You respond "You pulled me over, why don't YOU tell me." That was a 2 hour traffic stop for me, I think I pissed off the 4 foot midget prick.

You actually did say you broke the law, as you said, I didn't stop for 3 full seconds, that, is breaking the law. I am with you, it sucks, but, there are a lot of guys out there who use these stops as fishing expeditions. I have been stopped for window tint, license plate issues, loud exhaust etc....., every time it's the same shit, I know why I got stopped, they are looking for alcohol violations, drug use, warrants.... I have also gotten speed camera tickets, my opinion, I own it, I pay the fine, I should know better, but we all do stupid shit.
