  1. Wtf? This isn't about that incident, we could start a thread to discuss it. And while we are at it, we can start threads on the white kid that was shot dead by a black police officer, and black on white crime, white on black crime etc.
  2. All this bs about being unarmed........ If you are put in a death match with a professional fighter, and you only have a can of pepper spray or a firearm, what will you use to save your life? Keep in mind, your assailant is on top of you giving you a beating....... Discuss...
  3. Ever had yours or know. Someone who had their orbital socket broken? Lots of pain, hard to see and focus, it's amazing he hit his target. As far as the use of force continuum, your are supposed to go the next level higher as opposed to just meeting the force being used against you, that's how you can de-esculate a situation, by controlling it. If someone comes at you with a ball bat or a knife, is that what your going to use to defend yourself? I would wait for all the facts to become known before making the decision who was right and who was wrong. Sometimes just applying common sense will clear things up.
  4. When being attacked, one has a right to defend themselves, in this case, a firearm was used. As for Bevercreek, it would seem self explanatory that when you are told to put a gun down, by the police, at gunpoint, you should comply. They have no clue it is a pellet gun, you have a split second to make that decision, at that point you don't so much care what color the person holding the gun is. But many would be ok with the reverse scenario of the guy having a real gun and shooting and killing the police, that seems to be what's acceptable these days. My personal suggestion, let's get rid of all law enforcement for a month and see how things work out. That means we let everyone in the jails and prisons loose, no police for anything, I think that is the hot ticket, then everyone can do as they please. That should be fun......
  5. My only issue with this picture is the use of a 10 round magazine...... pass the ammo..
  6. A new meaning to heading out on the highway?
  7. ^^^THIS^^^ X1,000,000 . FWIW, I don't trust anyone, period, been fucked too many times by those who I made the mistake of trusting.
  8. It is from condensation....
  9. Had black cars when I worked in a body shop, I would have our clean up guys doing wash jobs on my junk every time I drove them, otherwise they looked like shit, now that I have to wash and clean my own stuff, no way in hell will I own a black car, I am way to picky to devote that much time from my life for car clean up duties, as Farkas said..... "fuck black".....
  10. De-clawed, neutered, shots up to date?
  11. Had Nitto's, went to Mickey's, I don't daily mine or drive it much at all, but when I do, it sticks without 200 feet of smoking tires.
  12. You may want to look for a program car, Lincoln MKX or the Edge, generally have a 100k mile premium care warranty with them. Picked the wife up a 5k mile MKX in December, she loves it, I hate it, since I have to pay for it......
  13. What if you don't have a radio?
  14. Oops, sorry on the re-post, I didn't see that when reviewing recent posts, I suck, I drive a Ford, off to the cabin in the woods..........:fa:
  15. As the title says............
  16. I used rubber tiles from this place http://www.rubberflooringinc.com/garage/index.html 3 years ago, it has held up well and with the application of the floor the temperature in the garage is bearable without heat in the winter now.
  17. +1,000,000, got a 23k Snap On box in the garage full of tools that I don't use, I can make you a deal............
  18. I don't think everyone should get a warning, nor do I think no one should get a ticket. By the letter of the law, she committed a violation, a LEO seeing the violation has a few options, cite, warn either written or verbally, or do nothing. A lot of people do not know that they are to maintain the closest lane when making a turn, this gives the LEO another option, to teach, it is officer discretion, but if someone isn't a shit bag, and doesn't have a zillion violations for the same thing, what is the benefit of not showing them the error and giving a warning? You never said you were LEO, but in the header is says "a question for LEO's", so why answer? I will tell you I am LEO, have been for 23 years, I have worked with the guys that would write 25 tickets a shift, like it was a personal challenge, most of them are security guards today. as far as reading and comprehending, as I was taught when going through the academy, everyone will interrupt the law differently, from the police, to the prosecutor to the judge and finally the jury. You are apparently none of the above or maybe you are, I don't really care. But the truth is, most cops are not assbag's, but every once in a while, you stumble across one, been there done that myself.
  19. Her turn was not illegal, she did not maintain the right lane after making her turn, based on the ORC code, she must have made her turn and then immediately changed into the left lane. As I said, I think a warning would have sufficed for both violations, IMO.
  20. A dick move because..... sometimes it is better to inform the public of the law and how it may pertain to their situation. Just because I/you have a book full of tickets, I/you don't have to use them. In reality, he could have stopped and informed about the lane violation, and while there, inform the proper use of the said safety device and how it is a violation to use it in a different fashion, it is called officer discretion. I find this funny, I had to take the Sheriff's (where I work) Explorer in for service on Thursday, he had both front seat belts behind his front seats and plugged into the buckle end of it. Maybe I should have wrote him a ticket for improper use? He (the officer) may have done her a favor by warning on one and citing on the other, but he could have done her a solid by just giving her a warning on both if she had a clean driving record, a thing I have done many times, as a citation and cash extraction usually only makes people hate the police and people will tend to buck the system worse, a little help and training goes a long way.
  21. Warning for the lane violation and a cite for the seat belt. Seems legit..... Granted, it is a dick move to write for that, I wouldn't. Personally, I would have fought it.
  22. Is the battery original? If not, what brand and how old? There are a few things I check first, the battery is #1, I have seen many with a bad cell that will do exactly as what your experiencing. #2 is the alternator, #3 is ohming out the cables and verifying the grounds are all good. Past that, you will need to look at the theft system on the car and for potential problems with the PCM and related wiring.
  23. My thoughts too. CCW does show up if the registered owner has one, it is not a valid reason to stop someone. Sounds like the guy was on a fishing expedition and all he could come up with was a bs seat belt ticket. I don't think it will make it past a judge, if the officer even shows up for court.
