2009 Harley fatboy. I really hate the default colors on the default Harley trim. I have a black bike. The pin stripping and Harley logo are underneath a layer of clear coast from the factory by default. In the logo and the pin stripping is a line of teal color (among other colors). OK, now the question. I ran into a hand pin stripping at a dyno meet on the south end this last weekend. He states he can hand paint that one color in the stripe and logo. He said no clear will be applied over it. He showed me example (photos) of his work and they do look good. My concern is he is painting over the clear coat and then not re shooting clear on top of his work. Will this hold up to the weather? Does this scenario have any gotcha's that I have not thought about?

Cool . Got rite rug and lowes slotted, will see. I figure painted inside of house, power washed outside, resealed driveway and I have fixed all the small things myself. Just hate spending another 2k and the hassle that comes with it. Thanks everyone for the input/suggestions/thoughts.

A month ago the GF and I were driving home. I told her several times to slow down on drinking through the night but NO lol. On the way home she woke up, made that face; I knew what was coming. Got aftermarket hines pipes on the fatboy. I threw a piggyback on the engine but I am wondering if anyone does tunes for the 2009 fatboy. I would rather have a tune than a box. IF you have had this done how much does a tune run for? I have had them done on many of my cars but never a bike.

I checked into a LS swap via Hines. Wasn't as bad as I thought $$ wise.
