Damn! I thought we were starting tomorrow. Supposed to be really nice out too. Unfortunately I will not be around next weekend (April 3) and the following weekend is Mid Ohio. Sigh. . .

Awesome rice! Does he know it is unsafe to have a race seat and harness with no roll bar! Ha, he might be seeing Jesus soon if he rolls that thing.
-
Totally awesome! Is that a JDM stripper pole?

Oh my, I might be shooting myself in the foot. In high school I had a 1987 Escort GT with bucket seats, alloy wheels and leather steering wheel. It was a 5 speed with direct injection and burned 1 qt of oil every 2 tanks of gas. Here it is, only mine was black: http://honda-tech.com/picture.php?albumid=6881&pictureid=4517 After that I picked up my first real car in college. My cousin was the web designer at Street Glow and got 80% off neon lights. I had neons underneath, on the doors, rear window, dome light, under the dash, and a knight rider red light on the front. I also had vinyl "Street Glow" on the rear and "XYSTER" on the windshield. I made those myself with an Xacto. Yeah, I was "that" guy. That was 10 years ago. http://www.adamdaley.com/max/Neon/carback.jpg http://www.adamdaley.com/max/Neon/carfront.jpg http://www.adamdaley.com/max/Neon/inside.jpg

It would really be neat to get a few high school ricers on there, just to mock them! ha. You need to get beat down to learn your place. teenagers think they know it all (I knew everything when I was 16 too).

Well stop by and say hi! I am always outside working on something or another. I know I would stop and talk to someone with a nice car in his driveway! I have no idea how to do water injection and I don't know a lot about engine management. I know a few guys on the MR2 board have put a "mega squirt" in the car, which would be ok, but I don't know much about them. I can't run my washer fluid since my engine is in the rear! This car is a hoot to drive! It is also super hard to drive at the limit. Once the rear starts to go, man she goes quick. Everything you know about normal driving does not apply. Never let off the throttle in mid turn or a slide or it will loop (like a bike). It takes turns well, is quick, and has a real go cart feel. Might not be the quickest car, but I like the uniqueness of it.

Thanks for the warm comments, this can be a tough crowd. I want center caps, picked the wheels up for $200 with new rubber, so I wasn't going to complain. Problem is the back ones the axle actually sticks out just a hair. So not sure how that will work. I will sand and paint them if I can't find center caps.

I have been running around with stock 93 wheels on my 91 and a stock side mounted IC. Well I did a few favors for a friend who totaled his car and he sold/gave some wheels and a IC. Took me 2 hours of simple green, PB blaster and a Scotch Brite to clean the wheels up. They came with good rubber too. Now I can keep the boost up at Mid Ohio without worry of heat soak with this IC! Plus these wider tires should keep me from spinning off the track (I do that a lot). Here is the old one: http://www.adamdaley.com/max/mr2/engine/ic/ic01.jpg Frustration! http://www.adamdaley.com/max/mr2/engine/ic/ic04.jpg New IC mounted with a Spal fan http://www.adamdaley.com/max/mr2/engine/ic/ic09.jpg

Really!? That would be sweet since I am more about supporting local business EXCEPT when the dealership rapes me. Most parts for my car need to come from the Dealership. What prices do you charge for door clips (ballpark)?
-
Can't have a sports car without stick. It is a good looking car. I'd be all over that with a stick.
-
This was posted on another site that I go to. It has all kinds of clips that you break when panels, doors, and carpets are taken off the cars. These clips are usually dealer only items and run $1-3 a pop which is ok for 2, but when you need 5 or more go here: http://www.clipsandfasteners.com/Shop_by_Manufacturer_s/12.htm I bought a box for my car already.

That is nice! Now you need to buy other things to go with it. Like one of those roll around oil buckets with the funnel on a pipe for oil changes. A transmission/engine jack, oh so many new goodies to get.

What is this? http://www.columbuscarsandcoffee.com/index.html Is this the same group as you Clay? They seem to be all exotic expensive cars, not sure my little Toyota would fit in there. It is mid engine like those Ferrari's though!

I don't know about that. The ring I picked up was equal to the other jewlers that I visited. I just got amazing customer service there. I went back to them due to the sale guy John Smith. He was great, and I don't like sales people. To the O.P. shop around and see. Take the few store we mentioned and see who gives you the best service and price. You might find a great sales person who you connect with, and that is what you need.

Those videos are just outside the Dragon. I heard there were some rock slides. With all the snow we have gotten, I would figure they have had a lot of rain or snow also. Plus spring is rock slide season too. Hope it doesn't close. 555 is a great road also, just wish there was more elevation change with some scenic over looks.

Another one with better sound: http://www.break.com/index/driver-slams-into-rockslide.html

HAHA, what is wrong with people? This happened near the Dragon: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/35874399#35874399

People blaming their actions on big companies. Take responsibility for your own actions.

It sucks. Lots of people, very small amount of actual cars in the city. Those you do find in the bouroughs like Queens, Brooklyn and Bronx are beat. Tons of pot holes and rough roads make it hard to own a decent car. All the MR2's that I saw in the city when I was buying mine were rough. Now outside the city in a 45 min circle there are plenty of meets. I know each fall there is a MR2 meet that goes to "Bear Mtn" which is the most visited State park in the country about 45 min north of NYC. This meet had over 100 MR2s there for a 8 hour meet. Meet at 8 am, drive for a while, lunch, car show, drive some more, dinner, drive some more, go home. I want to go, never have. Take pictures and post em here for us to see when you go. All so try to get to Central Park if you can, neat place. There is a zoo there too, might be free or a couple of bucks.

I will be there! Stoked about this.

+1 to John Smith at the Diamond Cellar on Sawmill. Wonderful guy, funny, honest and easy to work with. I saw him 3 times over 5 months before I bought the ring. Once with my girlfriend as a "browsing adventure" and he played along with my idea and pretended never to have met me. He took out all kinds of diamonds and showed how they are graded, what to look for and how different rings show off things. Never B.S. at all. Asked what my price range was and worked inside of that never offering items that would raise it outside my limits. Plus free cleanings and warranty work for life. It also came pre appraised for a bit more then it was sold at fully certified.

What are you doing there? Just free time or do you have meetings and things? I am from NY, grew up 1.5 hours north of the city and my sister lives in Queens. Been there many many times. You want to go to the top of some building. The Empire State is my favorite, but you can also do "The Rock" which is the NBC building. They are expensive at $15-20 each person. There might also be a wait, so do them early. Want to see the Statue of Liberty? That is an all day event, costs money, and you need to sign up 6 months early if you want to go to the top of the statue (not worth the wait, been there 2 times). Instead do the cheap way. Take the Staten Island Ferry over to Staten Island and back for FREE! You just have to view it from about 1 mile away and don't get to go to Ellis Island. It leaves from Battery Park, where you get the boat to the Statue anyway. Take the Subway at least once, only $2 or around $15 for an all day pass. Taxis are fun and exciting, but pricey. Go to Times Square and eat at the Carnegia Deli, sandwiches are like $15 but you get over a pound of meat on them and they are GOOD. Roast beef, get it. Want to see a Broadway show? Go to TKTS which is in Times Square or South Street Sea Port. Broadway tickets for that day at half the price. You need to get a pizza, so much better then here. Also stop by China town and get some real chinese food. Chinese food here sucks except Aka Hanna Sushi on Henderson. You could walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, it is a hike at 2 miles round trip, but worth going half way. Great pedestrian walkway in the middle. That is on the east side of the city. Street meat is always good and so are the sweet salt nuts sold on the street. You can pick up some "Foaklies or Fcoach" bags around Canal Street for cheap. Just like the real thing only sold by guys with big jackets or little Asian people. Have fun! The place is safe, never had a problem nor has my 27 twig of a sister. If you are driving, keep money for tolls. The George Washington Bridge is $9 to cross. I am sure the Lincoln Tunnel is close to the same. Fortunately that is one way. The Tri Borough is $7 each way.

Well duh, or else we would all be blowing shit up in our yards! Although that 70% will get your teeth sparkling white with one application, or de-skunk the dog quick and turn em white, or clean a cut fast and melt your leg off. :bangbang:

Meijer has Hydrogen Peroxide for $.89 a quart. lol

What are you going to be driving there? What group are you going to be in? I am in Group 2 with a blue Mr2 turbo. http://www.adamdaley.com/max/mr2/mr2web.jpg
