  1. Tax season - smart. Thanks guys. This would put me at my asking, which IMO was too high. Can't complain about that.
  2. I am selling my F250 and I have a 'bottom dollar' in mind. Someone offered me that + a yellow 1999 CBR600F4 with an exhaust 17k on the odo. What can I realistically sell this for in the spring?
  3. The best thing we have going for us (users of the healthcare system) right now is technology. I have an app on my phone that I can plug in what I need done and it returns pricing options. So if I go to the hospital and they tell me to go down a floor to get an MRI I can price it out almost live. I have an 'advocate' that I can call at any time and they walk me through anything I need from personal medical help to a family member that is having trouble getting a bill paid. I have a Dr. I can facetime/skype with for free (to me) that can prescribe basic medications that will be ready at Walgreens in 30 minutes. I work for a healthcare broker so we need to walk to talk, but these services are VERY cheap for the value they return. It is no secret that technology is always getting cheaper and everyone feels the burn of healtcare rising. The free market is doing its best to fix this problem. The government is doing its best to get in the way.
  4. Correct. I sell strategy to companies and do not deal with individuals, but will happily walk you through the process. There are a lot of confusing acronyms and words that mean several things depending on the context. Feel free to PM me and we can get started. If you go through an individual broker they typically get ~$100. Not 100% sure if this comes out of your pocket or Uncle Sam's, but I'd be happy to help you free of charge. Unless you are <250% below the poverty line this stuff is EXPENSIVE. Sledhead - same goes to you. If its individual stuff I can help. If it is business related I can really help. Edit - thank you Turbs for getting that income info.
  5. I got a JP deal. When he told me his ballpark pricing I couldn't believe it - this coming from a guy who owns FIVE E30 M3s so he knew what he had. Every time I go back he thinks of more parts to throw in that he has no use for. He never listed it for sale, if he did I surely have been 'out bid'.
  6. I grew up in Cleveland and have found there are mainly three types of people. People who complain about Cleveland their whole lives, but never move (the majority), those who move, but come back for family and have a better appreciation, or those who move and appreciate their new place because it is better. I think this is the case in most cities. I always tell people to move away. They will either enjoy the new place more or move back and appreciate what they have more.
  7. High mileage S50/S52 cars bring at least 25k. S14 cars bring at least 30. There was just a similar build LS1 E30 M3 for 42k on Ebay. And yeah there are options for 996 brakes on this for <$1000.
  8. Thankfully it came with this: https://www.racelogic.co.uk/_downloads/traction/Traction-Control-Manual-v3.2.pdf
  9. Good catch thanks. Yep 1988.
  10. The biggest tire you can fit in the rear without getting crazy is a is a 235. How much power is too much for a 235?
  11. It's been done. If I found a single turbo manifold I knew worked I would buy it just to start collecting parts and getting things fitted. I found an article about a guy with an old 911 that put 600,000 miles on it. That is what I want. You should see how many people are pissed on the BMW boards. How can you seriously argue against an LS?
  12. Wilwood 6 piston. I passed on them. He knocked off $2500 and they cost $2500 new. His track cars have the same brakes he is putting on the car and he said they were fine. The E30 is a different animal than the E36. Immediate plans include getting it running (obviously), flat white wrap, and a cam.
  13. My brother just picked up a cherokee and lives in Columbus. I'll see if he has any interest in these.
  14. Are these safe in enclosed spaces i.e. a garage?
  15. Thank you sir - It was either this or an fd and I just stumbled on this.
  16. LS1 1988 E30 M3 I have not picked it up yet. I put a deposit down and will be picking it up in a few weeks. The car isn't running and he is buttoning up a few things before I get it and I need to clear out some garage space. The only thing I haven't decided on yet is if I want the stock brakes or 6 piston wilwoods. He wants an extra $2500 for the wilwoods and I don't know if its worth it. Racelogic traction control, cabin controlled brake bias, coilovers, seam welded, 17X9 wheels, evo 3 fenders (hence why they are white not red), carbon wing... A bunch of stuff. Jelloman PM coming. Vert is getting parted out and I have a really nice suspension/brake setup.
  17. Never thought I would sell my car, but I walked into a guys shop to buy a roll cage and found this. So I will be finishing mine over winter so the next buyer has a turn key car and this will get started right after.
  18. One of my fraternity brothers from college was named as their new CFO this week.
  19. I should have an interesting update for this thread this afternoon.
  20. I'm convinced cars and coffee started because real car guys wanted to avoid the dregs of society and someone had the idea to make it early when they are too lazy to wake up.
  21. I don't think the reporting has been brought up yet, but that is another whole fiasco to this situation. Employers are now mandated to show they are offering 'affordable' healthcare to their employees on a per month basis as of 1/1/2015. Kicker? the 'form' the government wants you to use was released.... 4/1/2015. They couldn't even come up with a simple form on time for the proactive minority who wanted to do to it.
  22. Just looking for one of these thanks. Looks like I will be moving forward with a car purchase as long as the buyer doesn't back out.
  23. Nothing to :fuuuu: over. When funded (HSA) they are cheaper in the long run for the employer and employees.
  24. We saw an average of 8% this year. Small business took a beating, but that doesn't show in the numbers because a 50% rise for 8 people waters down quickly with a 5% on a 3000 life group. Now just wait for 2017 when they try to enact the Cadillac Tax. 40% additional if your healthcare is 'too good'.
