  1. FOR SALE: Extremely lightweight (11.5lbs), forged Racing Hart CP035 wheels $850 Firm (These wheels were $500 each when I bought them - my loss can be your gain!) Dimensions: 16" x 7.0", +35mm offset, 5 x 114.3mm (4.5") bolt pattern Wheels are in like new condition with very low miles - original 225/50R16 Tech M500 tires are still mounted on them. The tires come with the wheels, but they are fairly worn. Will consider firearm related trades - no other trade offers please. http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/1996%20Ford%20Probe%20GT/P1010014.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/1996%20Ford%20Probe%20GT/P1010015.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/1996%20Ford%20Probe%20GT/P1010019.jpg
  2. Those 7.62x54R rounds are deadly even at twice that distance. Hope your buddy is OK. What's the enemy using to fire those rounds at you guys? SVD Dragunovs? Romanian PSLs?
  3. Do you know what the soft "trauma pad" is made of? It used to be fairly flat and compact in thickness. It became very puffed up (maybe twice as thick?) while absorbing the energy of the 5.7x28 bullets. I suspect that this is the reason it was not able to stop the 7.62x25 bullets, as it was already used up.
  4. The 5.7 rounds were the polymer tipped lead core SS196 rounds not the SS190 or SS198 rounds.
  5. I recently obtained part of a slightly used Interceptor Body Armor vest, along with a "Trauma pack" and thought it would be interesting to test out the 7.62x25 Tokarev round. I don't know the details of the construction of the vest or the trauma pack, but the vest appears to have a yellow Kevlar like material inside and the trauma pack has a tightly packed white material that might also be Kevlar. I welcome any additional information about what the materials/construction might be. FMJ 9mm Luger round. The 7.62x25 round went right through the vest, through a 1/2" thick fiber reinforced rubber mat, and deep into the dirt backstop. front http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/TT33/InterceptorVestTest/3Enter.jpg back http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/TT33/InterceptorVestTest/2Exit.jpg The 7.62x25 rounds also went through the trauma pack, through the vest, through a 1/2" thick fiber reinforced rubber mat, and deep into the dirt backstop! It could be that the trauma pack's ability to stop these rounds was compromised by the 5.7x28 rounds (polymer tipped, lead core) that were fired into it previously. The trauma pack was able to stop all of the 5.7x28 rounds, however. front http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/TT33/InterceptorVestTest/tramaPackEntry.jpg The paths of the 7.62x25 Tokarev bullets were deflected substantially by the trauma pack but they still managed penetrate everything. back of vest behind trauma pack http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/TT33/InterceptorVestTest/tramaPackExit.jpg Please note that the vest insert was manufactured in 2001 and may not be a "serviceable" vest. This was not an attempt to 'test' Interceptor brand Body armor.
  6. Sell it yourself. It's easy. Just make sure in your listing that you mention "Realtors are welcome" and that you will pay 3% (or whatever is reasonable/expected in your area) for the buyer's realtor fee. Most buyer's realtors won't consider your house otherwise.
  7. They are going to try to leave us with a 'parting gift.'
  8. Here's my prediction... You won't hear much if any talk about new gun control until after November 2010. Maybe a few comments to "test the waters" but nothing serious. Then, sometime between November and December 2010, there will be a horrible gun related incident (school shooting or the like) and the current powers that be will try to take advantage of the media blitz and push through a new AWB. They might even try another angle and go after ammo by taxation or some other type of regulation, depending on what they learned in the "testing the waters" phase.

    Paypal rant....

Sorry. They are still going by GunPal, I guess. I read that they were changing their name since the service can be used for anything, not just buying guns. They are different than PayPal in that they don't choose to restrict what you can buy with their service.
