  1. Sandusky County Sportsman Club is very nice and has full time 500, 300, 100 and 70 yard ranges, trap area, and a huge "Old Western" town that they use for special organized competitions/events. Great place but is a good distance from Columbus. Saber's in Lima, OH has a full time 200 yard range and converts it to a 300 yard range on a regular basis for different shooting events.
  2. Look for some 55 grain Portuguese military surplus. It used to be cheap and plentiful, now it's harder to find but it shoots great. Headstamp is FNM and will likely be from the 80's. I shot this 5 round group at 50 yds using a basic 16" AR15. It did have a free-float front grip/rail, but was otherwise military spec. Nice group for military surplus!! http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/AR15/FiveShots_July2010_M4_50yds.jpg
  3. I will sell the complete upper for $425.

  5. PRICE DROP!! $675. I'm dropping the price on this because I noticed that adjustable portion of the rear sight seems to have more play in it than my other UTG brand rear sight. Not sure if this is a problem as I've only shot this rifle with a red-dot optic and never used it with the iron sights. If necessary, you can buy the UTG brand rear sight, which I KNOW works very well, for $35-$40 from several reputable vendors.
  6. Nice looking Saiga 12. Does it still have the Russian fire control group? I see that the trigger is still in the original 'sporting' position.
  7. Per requests here are some detailed images. As you can see, there is almost no wear on the hammer or bolt carrier or bolt face. There aren't even any of the typical handling marks that you might expect from a used rifle like this. 8. Possibly. Pictures? Has it been converted to a pistol grip configuration? If so, by who?
  9. It's in excellent condition and shoots great. I just have one too many AR15 rifles and this one just sits in the safe. Time to make room for something different...

  11. Make a stand out of PVC similar to this one... http://s89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/AR15/?action=view&current=FiveShots_July2010_M4_50yds.jpg
  12. They imported very few of the milled receiver Mak90's. I believe that they were only imported for 1 year. A few months ago, you would expect to pay $800-900 for one in excellent condition. I would say that $600 is a good price if your buying one today. They are very high quality and make great shooters.

From the small pictures I've seen, the gas piston system looks just like the design of the system in my AR180 which was designed by Stoner back in the early 60's. The design is also very similar to the one used in the Russian Tokarev SVT38/SVT40, 1938 vintage.
  16. Oh yeah!! Nice! I wish mine had the little switch on the side...
  17. I decided to use the ARMS #18 mount on mine just so I could still use the iron sights. With the ARMS #22 lever rings removed, the top of the mount sits just below the iron sights - very low! The ARMS #18 attaches in the side mount hole and fits into the dove tail groove with the stripper clip guide removed. It also makes contact with top of the receiver at the front of the mount for stability. I love the crystal clear optics of the Nikons, too. http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/M1A/IMG_1146.jpg http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k239/jjjxlr8/M1A/IMG_1150.jpg
  18. Nice rifle. I haven't seen that rail before... how does it attach to the receiver?
  19. +1 I got married on the beach at Couples Swept Away in Negril. Great time.
  20. Awesome paint work! Nice job. I have good luck with the .22LR Remington Golden bullets. They are inexpensive and very consistent.

    f-18s?

Are you sure they weren't F16s? These guys... http://www.murdoconline.net/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/f16_amraam.jpg
  22. visible ricochets... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ST29D-NbTcI&feature=related
  23. Maybe the problem is that people are shooting down at the ground way in front of the mounds and the bullets are ricocheting over the mounds. This happened at two other local ranges, resulting in complaints.
