I aim to educate, not to aggravate. Here is the break down of the Westerville School District pay chart. BA w/ zero years exp: $37,659 BA +150hrs w/ 5 years exp: $48,343 MA w/ 10 years exp: $65,410 MA +15hrs w/ 15 years exp: $76,966 MA +30hrs w/ 20 years exp: $86,409 The full chart can be seen here:http://www.wcsoh.org/docs/10-11%20Salary%20Schedule.pdf So your base yearly salary for ANY teacher just starting out is going to be $37,659. That might not be shabby. With all the schooling that takes to get to this point it isn’t that much. Using the numbers from this article the author puts 1 year of schooling at $7,000 per year plus books and fees. Let’s just stick with the $7,000 number for now, so simple math gives you $28,000 for a four year degree less books and fees. So you have your four year degree now you need to complete a credentialing program. Let’s keep using that $7,000 number, so now were at $35,000. And as any teacher will tell you just having the bare minimum will NOT get you hired but that’s beside the point right now. So your making $37,659 IF you get hired and have $35,000 in student loans. Hell if you DONT get hired you still have the loans. We know you’re not getting to barrow that money for free so from USBank.com they are offering a fixed interest rate of 7.99%. So leaving this as broad as possible let’s say you’re going to pay it off in ten years. It’s going to cost you $424.46 a month pay it off in that time frame. Paying out $15,935.51 in total interest bringing your grand total for five years of schooling to $50,935.51. Again I want to point out I used the LOWEST of low numbers when figuring out how much your college education would cost. As pointed out by the original author a private college can cost more than $26,000 a year. So for five years that’s $130,000 and at a 7.99% interest rate it would be a grand total of $189,188.75! And let’s not forget if you want bigger and better pay raises you have to go BACK to school. So my option on the question that was asked no teachers do NOT make too much money. If it chaps your ass that badly then why didn’t you become a teacher and make ALL of that money? Additionally do you really want your child’s education to be provided by the lowest bidder?

For 500 I would pull the trigger on it. Hell if you back out let one of us know on here I'm sure one of us will pick it up for that.

My father has an 04 GTO and had an issue with the rear end leaking. It was coming from the center inspection plate cover where it bolts to the frame/uni-body. With that said I know an aftermarket part is out there that remounts it in some fashion so it is less prone to leak/break. I sure with some digging I could find the part. This happened after it was drag raced a couple of times. Not saying this happens to all GTO’s but it did happen to my dad’s.

I wonder what type of Subaru models were hit and which one was totaled.

Penny crunchers.. Ya those who buy gift cards to save on gas
OrangeDot3083 replied to dragknee66's topic in Dumpster
I’m all in on this GE gift card thing. I think the YTD saving on fuel for me and my wife is $1,200 or there abouts. I would have to look at one of our current receipts to get the exact number. We have three 5 gallons cans so we can get the full 30 gallons for free, don’t want to waste a single drop. Much like everyone has said we use it for everything. If we plan on going out for dinner we stop by and pick up a gift card. They even have GameStop gift cards. -
Does anyone else want to see what she looks like? I'm kind of curious. Being that she is semi local in all.

Damn that is a hell of a deal

I have an 2004 STi and haven’t had any problems. Power wise it is pure stock. I have replaced some of if not all of the bushings in the car and put a harness bar and a five point harness in it. The car has 1 auto cross, 5ish trips to the drag strip and 35+ road course track days and is running damn good. She is eating some oil but that is to be expected when it has been ran that hard in its life. Also being an oil cooled turbo doesn’t help. Much like everyone else has said the older ones have issues with head gaskets going out. That isn’t 100% across the board but it happens often. However, if you’re at all handy with a wrench buy one that is blown replace it and wham bam thank you ma’am you have yourself a nice DD on the cheap. The 04 STi has front bearing issues on most of them. I have been lucky. The 05+ STi has the 5X114 bolt pattern wheels/larger hubs with better bearings and does not have this problem. 05+ STI’s are the only ones with the updated bolt pattern ALL other makes and models have the 5X100. Which is why you will pay out the ass for a set of 04 STi BBS wheels 5X100 cause everybody wants one for their WRX, Forester etc, etc. Also the 04 to 06? For sure the 04 and 05 have rear strut clunk issues. This does NOT effect performance at all but can get a little annoying. I have repacked my rear struts once and need to do it again. That will fix it for a while but the sure fix is to go with coilovers. Everyone else is correct with what they have said. BOV are a no-no with a Subaru unless its tuned the same day it is put on. That doesn’t normally happen. Anything added to the car WILL need a tune. A COBB Access Port can be your friend but so can open source tuning. Adding a CIA is not needed the stock airbox is good to something like 400 WHP but it you want to again must be tuned. I could go in to other things but you would have to tell us what you are looking at doing. If it is a WRX what year, or a Forester same thing there, what year? The Subaru brand within its self is much like LEGO’s you can pull parts from the different year STi’s (or STI depending on the year) and bolt them up to the WRX, Forester, Legacy or Baja. And during that one Auto Cross I did, I had NO problem rev matching the car down in to first gear. Sure was fun coming out of that 180 degree turn sideways.

That is a HELL of a deal for a first car!

Dude that is F'n HOT and let me say there is a market for that kind of thing. Your track rats that do something like one or two track days a month will be all over it. I have seen a couple of Miata’s with something like that but not near as nice. You just might be trying to sell it on the wrong forum. Maybe one of the BMW/Miata forums that do nothing but track days? At any rate good looking piece.

And surprisingly it was better this year than last year...

My father runs a pair of these on his stock 04 GTO as front drag radials and hasn’t had any issues. There is a very noticeable weight difference and less rolling resistance from the stock wheels and tires. Adds a nice aggressive look for the cheap also. Just trying to help with the sale.

I figured I would share some of these guys videos. I searched the forums and couldn’t find anything so I don’t think it is a repost. Here is their site http://www.format67.net And some of their video links on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53c6o_cNPEo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0OwnRV2-ZlY If you search for them on Vimeo you can get most if not all of their videos in HD. It's worth it.

I know I am late, but just wanted to say I had at GREAT time and thanks to Shawn for putting this on!!! If I am ever at the track with you guys again and you want some pointers don't be afraid to ask. For that matter if you ever need anything just ask. As you could see me and my father don't like to be caught unprepared.

Airwg - short answer, yes. Your car will handle just fine. I have a 04 STi and have been at many track days where WRX's have been running and have been 100% stock without any issues. You will learn a lot about your car that you never knew about it. If you are thinking of going you SHOULD it really is the most fun you can have in your car with your pants on. I am coming out of Canal and driving up there the day of. So if you are interested in driving up there together we can. Just PM me. I haven't been to one of theweiser's track days but most of the novice groups are all filled with like minded people like you that just want to take it easy and not run 'bumper to bumper'. 90% of the people will drive their cars up to the track and will want to drive them home. I don’t want to speak out of turn here but there are passing zones and rules that greatly lower the risk of anything going wrong. I will let weiser expand on that if he wish's. If not it all will be covered before you get on track at the drivers meeting.

I just want to know what he was looking at to get his rocks off.

This... So the asshole with his thumb up his ass at home playing XBox get's paid before I do. That’s fucking great. KentStateTsi - Don’t get me wrong The Constitution and The American Flag are high on my list as why my happy ass sits in Iraq right now getting shot at but neither are the top. It’s all about getting paid. The Constitution and American Flag will not make my house payment. And once my time is up in this hell hole I would like to go home to my house.

http://www.iwsti.com/forums/general/214177-my-sti-saved-three-lives-yesterday.html It's like god said 'K, time for you to die' and somehow this guy says 'F you and you're couch'. The fact that he had the presence of mind to do what he did, its impressive. I like how after it was all said and done he got back in the car, it started and he was able to drive it out from all that weight!!!
