I love my country as well but my idea of loving it isn't that the decisions we make as a whole are right because that's the choice we made. I want the best for this country and our people. We are a relatively young country and bound to make mistakes. Its what we learn that matters. I watch fox news everyday because I find it more entertaining than other options but not more informative.

No, I said what I meant to say but I am still waiting for what is incorrect. As for the abortion debate, I have my opinions about that but it is probably for another thread. It is not illegal to perform an abortion but it is illegal to kill someone. I am by no meanssaying that morals should be based on laws but to say that a doctor that does his job as requested by his patients deserves to be murdered is beyond my understanding. I don't mind that Islam is on the rise so long as individuals are held responsible for their actions. Any group that condones and expects violence towards innocent people should be held responsible regardless of what book they read.

I think we have a philosopher here you haven't stated what I have said that is incorrect. The interpretation of the Quaran will change based upon who reads it. Now from what I understand about the book, if 2 interpretations conflict, it is the most recent passage that takes presedence. This is of little concern to me as there will always be crazy people doing crazy things and justifying them as they will. My point is not what the quaran says but what people do. I know muslims that are hard working honest people, I know people of many faiths that are not. Yes, islam played a part in 911 but to the same extent that kooky christians blow up clinics. Its not the fact that they are muslim, its that they take it to far, just like anyone else that acts like this.

this is bau for fox. They know what they are doing and they cater to the majority of americans. The problem is that a lot of people do not fact check and believe what they are told. There are some really good interviews on youtube by one of those "liberals" at some tea partty conventions. Guess where everyone gets their misleading "news" from? You guessed it, fox news.

I hardly force my beliefs onto people. I debate people. You say what you believe and why. Then I say what I believe and why and then we discuss. You have the option of being ignorant if you want , that's your perogative. If you disagree with what I say, please state why and then I can explain to you why you are wrong

I will agree that I cannot instill intelligence into you but I hardly waste my time, haha. You seem to think that arguing is some kind of chore for me and it is more of a hobby really. I. Am at work and getting paid to reply, so no problem for me!

I understand what you are saying Scott. I am not a fan of Islam or any organized religion for that matter. The Islamic holy books just like the Bible can be used for good or evil (defining these if possible is for another discussion). What it comes down to is evil people will do evil things and will use whatever they can to justify the acts. We see this all over and with just about anything. It takes religion to make good people do evil things. Muslim people are not inherently evil or terrorists just like Christians do not all bomb abortion clinics and enterpret the Bible litterally. If everyone just used reason and had humanistic values, we could all get along much better.

This is what it sounds like to me too. Its getting power because its turning on but no heat. There could be some sensor that isn't working and therefore doesn't turn on the heater but I doubt this. I think Jake hit the nail on the head.

Wow, thanks for proving my point. lets work through your statement here. I am not saying it is not your right to be ignorant. You obviously have that right A "normal" person knows the difference between someone who blows up buildings and someone who wants to build a community center. Christians can be terrorists just like atheists, zulus and ANYONE else. Commuting acts of terrorism is what makes one a terrorist. People who have a brain care and you obviously care enough to post about it....... The Bible isn't all hugs and kisses either...... -1 Samuel 15 -Deuteronomy 20:10-14 Probably the same if not better treatment than a Muslim that wants to open up a center that welcomes everyone and provides activities to inner city kids. We again, are circling back to irrational fears of Muslims. Do we understand that the guy that is opening this thing has NOTHING to do with the 911 terrorists other than being Muslim? But you know, now that I think about it, he does wear pants......The 911 terrorists wore pants! This can't be a coincidence......... The picture above says it all. IF this was a shrine to terrorism or if terrorist were encouraged to meet here, than we SHOULD do something about it......This is not the case so it will just be another community center in NY. Get over it people.

I just don't understand how some of you guys make it to work and back without your helmets. First off it the legal right of a person to purchase property and do with it what they want (within reason of course) I think we are all finally on board this. Now for anyone saying that they are offended by this building being built or that they are being "insensitive" you are retarded and I hope you don't ever have to make important decisions in your life. This is a very simple concept but please try to follow along.... Muslim does not equal Terrorist. 911 hijackers happen to be Muslim in the same way they happened to wear shoes, or pants, or have beards or wear a watch. It could be said that the Quran or the Hadiths encouraged or motivated them so Islam is partially responsible. I can understand why you think this but if that is your logic than you should be against ALL of Christianity, Judaism, and all of their various subsidiaries as well since there are various biblical verses that encourage violence, murder, genocide, rape, etc. lastly it is not even a mosque as everyone is welcome, not just Muslims. It will have basketball courts just like the Christian based YMCA. What is everyone's problem with this? Should people go picket YMCA because Christians were "insensitive" of native American's land and way of life? Come on people.....

You could probably do it yourself. http://www.doityourself.com/stry/stonetilecolors and http://www.ehow.com/how_4969604_install-travertine-tile-backsplash.html might be a good start. I tiled my bathroom floor and I had never done it before. Its not really hard, you just have to be patient and plan first and make sure it is perfect the first time. I watched some videos on youtube and that made it easier to understand.

amusing. A bit ignorant, hateful, and not nearly as creative.

I'm sure that VZW probably has it but just hasn't flipped the switch.

4G with sprint is way faster than ATT 3G..... The posted speeds by the op show this. But check this out:http://i.gizmodo.com/5155882/verizon-lte-wireless-clocking-60mbps-in-us-tests-confirmed-to-launch-in-2010 Droid x doesn't come with adobe. You need to be running 2.2 and you can manually install it but there should be an update soon. The Iphone doesn't have flash, that is why flash pages don't load on it very well . My "old and busted" Droid 1 is running 2.2 and overclocked to 1GHZ. Who wants to race?

Don't forget to get "Rom Manager"! One of the best apps for rooted phones.

I could understand if it was a video of Obama supporting the Mosque, if thats even the right word for the cultural center. What you have posted is supposed to be a joke but it is a joke in poor taste as it panders to the same crowd that think Obama is "Socialist" and born in Kenya. You understand Obama is a constitutional lawyer, right? I winder why it is that people just assume that Obama is a moron just because Fox news and teabaggers are so anti Obama?

Can't agree more.

I get ya, I was just wanting to get the reasoning of why Noleaf pops in here after the dust has pretty much settled and finds it appropriate to put up an image like that. I am sure it is the same ol' retardedness that I hear day in day out but I was just curious. Love Obama or hate Obama but at least KNOW why you feel the way you do. To just go along in life not questioning things? What a sad existence.

Look at how long android has been out compared to other phone OS and you will see how fast it is TAKING OVER. I am cool with this because I like google's business model. "If you want it, we'll find a way to make it free for you" There isn't really a whole lot of difference in the droid2 over the droid 1 though. Iphone on Verizon in January as well as android 3.0 tablet. I will never purchase an apple product as I do not fall for their marketing schemes.
-
Any justification for this? If you are posting this to get a laugh, its kinda dumb. If you are posting this to make a point, maybe you could back it up. At least the video was a contribution to the discussion at hand. This is just a NOBAMA pic. This is right there with the death panels and government takeover of (insert current issue). BTW did anyone see Countdown last night? Olbermann had a really good comment at the end of the show about this issue Mosque. Very well said. It is a community center where everyone is welcome as opposed to a traditional Mosque where only Muslims are allowed. It is supposed to have a basketball court and cooking classes.

Android is by far my favorite OS and the reasons why: yes, it has been updated a few times this year alone. The updates are free and they add additional functionality to the device. This is not a bad thing. Many different form factors for different people. Extremely customizable. I have used Blackberries, Palm devices, WinMo, and the Ipod Touch. The highest percentage of free apps in app market.

To clarify I am not saying that if ones opinion is unfounded than physical violence must be brought. I am saying that of course everyone is entitled to an opinion but do not be upset when people call you out on it especially when the same point has been brought up and shut down a few times in the same thread, haha. I am very much against violence whenever there are other possible outcomes. If my opinion is unfounded I would not expect you to take me seriously.

For some it would seem that an an extreme example is needed. I do not disagree with your ultimate end, I disagree with the logic you use to get there. You have continually misrepresented Muslim people throughout your posts which may not cause as much harm as "Jews should burn" but the logic is the same.
-
True with the exception of January 8, 1835 but we are arguing semantics here. He is the President of the US, not a wizard, come on. The economy has already started to show signs of getting better. It is not going to happen over night but we will get there. Without the stimulus it is equally possible that the unemployment rate could be even higher than it is now. I want to make sure I am clear here though because I do not completely agree with the way the stimulus was implemented. Maybe this article will help you with economics and the Obama administrations business policies http://www.newsweek.com/2010/08/07/slow-to-spend.html

I don't grant you the right to have an opinion, the constitution does. I could have the opinion that "All Jews should burn". Is it my right to have this opinion? Certainly, but is the public REQUIRED to tolerate it? Not at all. Anything founded in discussion, evidence, peer review, etc deserves its time in the light but once something has been discredited, one looks foolish for trudging it back up from the dead. Again, you have the right to think whatever you want but do not be surprised if you sound foolish when you open your mouth and let these thoughts out.
