I just ordered a Spike's stripped lower and enhanced parts kit. I've been checking out all these sites looking for ideas. Would the gun show be a good place to see a lot of products up-close or is it all generic/old stuff? I'd burn a couple hours of weekend time in travel alone and don't want to waste my time.

hide yo kids, hide yo pets....those mothers are flying tigers dude. Nice pics, btw.

FFL buddy of mine says they are about $599 but all on allocation. He can put in for one next time one comes up if anyone is serious. PM me and I'll share his contact info.

Very curious about the quality on this bad boy. What a unique design!

out here in the boonies our mail service sux. When I have a choice I order from places that use UPS or Fedex. USPS can't seem to get mail to the right address out here. I went in to complain a couple months ago but there was a line.....to complain. I hope this is a local problem. I'd gladly opt-out of USPS service. I also think there should be amnesty for hunting those damn junk mail delivery losers. I don't know why they are alowed to litter. What's up with that?

this... a quick search pulled up a few on ebay around $150 but not sure if they are the same style. In any case...you'll have that in labor if you don't DIY.

minuses for the flip...it was awkward to mount...I'd like to be able to mount it low for some action sequences. The way it mounts along it's short side means you have to contend with a lot of vibration. Does that make sense? also...I'm thinking the ability to add a filter will be helpful with all that snow but I don't know much about it.

So...we are planning out our annual dog sledding trips. Going in January and March this year. Last year I experimented with a Flip, Olympus Stylus SW, and an Olympus E520. The Flip couldn't handle the cold since it averaged -4F during the day. No matter what I did I couldn't keep it warm enough to have any battery life. I used a gorilla pod and the design of the flip was working against it so it rotated when I went airborn and hit hard. The stylus battery was dead as soon as I tried to use it on the first trip. On the second I had figured out enough to order Olympus' rugged batteries which can handle extreme cold. So..it ran like a champ on the second trip. I never even used the second battery. However, those buttons are extremely small for gloved hands. I wore it on a lanyard around my neck and it was easy to flip in and out. The E520 was only along for one trip. I know it was criminal to expose it unprotected but it takes such nice photos and video I couldn't help it. I strapped it's bag to my handlebar and pulled off my glove to operate it. Amazingly it endured the conditions well and the battery lasted the whole trip. But that was rough on my hands and I'm surprised I didn't ruin the camera since I rolled the sled a couple times. I want the right camera/mount combo for this -temp below 0 day and night (we camp so...no heat at night) -Battery(ies) to last 3 days (again..camping...no electricity) -Exposed to snow/ice moving 15-20mph on hard-pack snow, going airborn, high-g turns, potential roll-overs, etc. -Video and stills -Very bright, white environment (filter suggestions?) -I want to be able to hand-hold or mount to a sled made of wooden slats...see pics....The slats are about 2" by 1/2"...look like ash...make up all the structure of the sled. They have a flat oval shape and are curved just about everywhere. Only the handle bar has the grip tape. -I'd like to adapt what I already have vs. buy a whole new rig like a go pro but I'm open. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7019/6437845911_a43226a898.jpg sled2 by harmonda, on Flickr http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7032/6437845633_f9dffce552.jpg sled1 by harmonda, on Flickr

I'm sure it is all depends on what you are running. My Blizzaks are crazy-soft. We take multiple trips up to the UP in the winter and I plan to reserve as much dry running as possible on these tires for those trips. Well...plus they don't run at speed in the dry like my stockies. They are a little mushy.

Okay so who was teaching a new Manual Tranny driver in their STi ?
harmonda replied to TTQ B4U's topic in Passing Lane
I know none of my more recent LS cars would let you stall in 1st...unless you leave the clutch out and never hit the throttle...guessing these Subies are programmed the same way? I kinda assumed all eletronic throttle manuals in recent times were this way. Like slow speed launch control. -
Still no on the snow tires. Meh, I need to see actual ice on the road or at least accumulation of snow to at least 1/2" I mean...why'd I get the 4-matic if I'm going to pop for new Blizzaks every couple years because I run them dry. I'm heading back up to the UP at new years so I know I'll swap them before then. Can you say snow rooster tails? I'm getting video this year.

I don't mean to hijack this thread...but I got a Nook Color last xmas from my wife. I rooted it and installed Cyanogenmod7. Basically you end up with an Android tablet for cheap...especially since they just dropped the price below $200. I find the processor to be a little slow compared to even my droidx. The screen is sharp. It may be somewhat smaller than other tabs out there...it is still 3 times the size of my droidx. I'm really digging it and it has become my go-to device for surfing, portable games, news, etc. Sadly I haven't touched my PSP since I modded the NC. Food for thought.

Buhbye Bollman you idiot. Our O line and old-fashioned plays have tormented me. His miss-use of some of the best dual threat QBs has been CRIMINAL. Good riddance. Urb an specifically said he is shopping for an OC.

+1 for this too. Their 'ballroom' is a nice spot. Very highly rated food. Downside...some people just don't get historic cool. The nouveau riche set won't get it at all. Depends on your audience. My wife worked there when we were in college. Cool wine cellar, btw.

I attended a wedding at Royal American last year. Nice facility, not huge, great views out on the golf course. For us it was only about 3 miles away. I bet it is pretty reasonably priced too. Not as cheap as a church facility or VFW but not NACC either. If I see the bride today I'll ask her for contact info. She works in my building. If you happen to be a Chase person PM me and I'll give you her info...she works in the caf. and you can talk to her yourself.

Not yet unless your summer tires suck.

Why am I thinking this thread could become a jack ass style pepper gun test with very little prodding?
