  1. Im surprised they are equipped similar to a drivers ed car, where the instructor has a brake pedal or other form of control. All they had in my car was a dial control to reduce power.
  2. Just like the accident that happened at the Disney Exotic Driving location. Multiple things that happened there, but it was the "last straw" so to speak, that helped them decide to close down the facility. I only drove the GTR and it scared me if i punched it coming into the straight. Couldn't imagine driving the nascar experience with all the power they have. We had a 45 minute class I believe, 15 of that was a video showing braking zones and explaining apex and when to gas and not gas. Then it was here's a helmet lets go!
  3. I believe it was a lease return.
  4. Driving it last night at around 55-60 mph sounds like either tire noise or a bearing is starting to hum. Other than that no complaints, other than the wash bay almost ripped of the side molding... just needs new 3m tape stuff. It has brand new tires on the front and decent on the rear. It has remote start and heated leather seats which she is thrilled with. Now she can have a warm car when she leaves work.
  5. She's been looking for something new-ish, but has been on and off the fence on what to get or just fix the CRV. Well last night we managed to snag a 2015 Patriot with the 2.0 fwd. 26,121 miles and still has 14 months of factory warranty left. We also purchased an additional 5 year warranty for an added 3 dollars to the monthly payment. She's excited and loves the thing, named it Lucille. Link to dealership website listing, I haven't managed to get any pictures yet. http://www.tricountychryslerproducts.com/used/Jeep/2015-Jeep-Patriot-53b3f9d90a0e0a6b652f5af0d2150a01.htm
  6. That new video was me working on cars... lift hood, pull out some random tools, look at what I'm trying to accomplish, close hood walk away and call someone else to do it.
  7. How long do the smart bulbs last? I looked at the website linked above and didn't see it. We got an Echo for Christmas and so far we just use it for music, and the 7 year old likes to ask it science type questions. Would like to expand on its usage. *edit* found it. 20k hours
  8. Just priced out some eibach and the kyb gr2 struts. Looking like 640 for all 4 on ebay. Are there better places to buy from? Also as far as tires and alignment, I can do alignments at work. Tires I'll figure out how I can work around that....
  9. I don't want super slammed dragging everything. I was looking for a 1 to 2 inch drop. The road I live on now is very wavy, historical brick road that they won't fix, also there is ano old speed bump in our alley that for some reason was put almost at the crest of the little hill. I still want the car to be functional.
  10. Ok. Thanks for the feedback! For now the drivability parts are getting fixed.
  11. Yes... here we go, another Buster thread.. Anyway. I had the car on the lift to do a quick inspection to see what all needs attention this spring. Basic things, like brakes, ball joints, tune up, and the clutch finally is going to get fixed(throwout bearing was noisy when purchased). I noticed the front struts seemed to be weak and had some slight leakage around the top. So I started pricing some things out. I found stock replacement front struts for about 300 for the pair.... But out of curiosity I looked up lowering coil overs. Found a set made by Raceland for 369, plus shipping and tax, for all 4 corners. I would like to lower the car, and had put this idea back as a future thing. I am planning on keeping this car as long as possible and would like to do a few minor mods. Lowered, rims, intake/exhaust, upgraded stereo- currently only has working front speakers. Also not sure if it would need a minor tune after the intake and exhaust? But, back to the main point of this thread. Has anyone heard of this brand? They do have a lifetime warranty. I just don't want to fall into a get what you paid for trap. Here is the link to the website : https://raceland.com/honda-coilovers/civic-2001-2005/honda-civic-em2-coilovers.html?gclid=CJXe9OjWsNECFcO3wAodFnQLog
  12. Not sure where you're located, but Safety Kleen will take it. When I worked at autozone that's where we told people to take coolant.
  13. Older bonneville, I think late 60's, wagon looks like the ghostbusters car. A friend has one. Also the Dodge Coronet and Plymouth Fury cars look nice.
  14. +1 on the Newark Auto Electric. All the automotive related places I have worked all recommend them for electrical work.
  15. So will the bigger motor change how the suspension reacts?
  16. I would like to see the charger Hellcat, or even the 392 scat pack, with the AWD option. As stated a couple posts up, they have the ability to do it. How well would something like that compete with the GTR? Obviously the Hellcat will be better matched than the 392.
  17. http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1107644_all-wheel-drive-2017-dodge-challenger-gt-debuts#image=7 Sadly only available with the 3.6 v6.
  18. Happy Thanksgiving to you too, and everyone else on here. Safe travels and full bellies. Also I think the websites clock is off somehow.. It says you posted that 3 minutes into the future. Unless.... Marty?
  19. Anyone stay at any of them? I'm looking at booking one for our anniversary next year.
  20. not this time, I would take out so many curbs/poles/signs/other cars
  21. Well... if you remember the infamous Kay's post... that's what killed my credit and defaulted student loans. Which I've paid off one and have another that is just over a grand I think that I'm making payments on.
  22. Thanks. I'll keep those in mind come spring.
  23. I have a loan through True Core credit union on the civic. It's at 18% :dumb:
