Saw this on another forum. Thought it was pretty cool to see first hand what firefighters deal with. Any on the forum?

I have seen salt water damaged cars.. Its pretty much a total loss. I wouldnt buy any parts from those cars.. I would however like to walk around and check them out, before the mold kicks in.

Sounds like a clogged fuel filter or fuel pump going out..

I was just watching monster trucks on tv at work. Talking about how much fun it would be to go out of state where they have the big outdoor arena.

I noticed lowes had a nice flat black kobalt edition for 450$ I think.

I personally do not like using those death trap spring compressors. I bought a set from Matco once, used them a dozen times or so. Finally had it slip, and caught my arm in the spring when it sprung. I sold them on Craigslist for 40$. I would take your struts off, and take them to a Midas or Monroe. You can normally bring cash and talk to a mechanic. Have them done by a professional, and spend 40$ or so. It's not worth loosing an arm or eye. The wall mounted spring compressors are much better.

Certain items like injectors, egr, I would get new. Throttle body/ intake manifold I would get from junk yard.

Finally a person with usable information. Why does anyone give a fuck what he mods? It's his car. So what he doesnt have a Vette or a ls platform. Let him do what he wants. You would think a moderator would clean this shit up. To add to the OP, a friend of mine swapped some of the stuff mentioned and didn't gain enough hp for the money. So he sold the parts and left it stock. Don't listen to those guys, it's a car you have and like. If you want to mod it, do it. You don't have to explain WHY you want to mod something. Or WHY you have a mnt dew tattoo.

I have seen numerous radial tires get flat spots in the tread. Infact at work we have a 2012 chevy quad cab truck that has been sitting in storage with 6 others since march. Jump started it, sounded like shit from oil settling. And drove it back to the shop. Tires had flat spots in them from sitting, and road like dog shit. We had to replace all 4 tires to get it to drive smooth again.

Those that leave their nice cars parked for winter... Do you do anything special for winter? Start it up every couple weeks, put it on jack stands to keep from flat spotting the tires, throw a battery tender on it?

Price and availability. I've learned most NOT all staff, but most have no clue what their doing.

I've never had an issue with a air bleeder. Now I don't end the bleeding process with it because the pedal to me is never as firm as it should be. But to get fluid coming, I haven't had an issue.

What's the year make and model? Some cars have certain bleed procedure other than starting at right rear. Some you have to activate abs pump.

Ah man I really want this, but dont have the funds.. They raffled one off on the snap on truck a year or 2 ago. They were going on ebay for 2500$, so 1000 is a steal..

That sucks.. No renters insurance?? Nothing you can do except file a police report, which probably won't accomplish much.

I dealt with the same shit at both Toyota dealerships. New writers, no one could sell. I wish Dave gill would have paid you for your ase's. That sucks.
