  1. To save yourself time, search supramania/supraforums boards for info. See how easily you can pull timing off the stock electronics. If it's doable all you would need for full is a progressive meth kit or cold start injectors and you wouldn't have to jackass around with wiring a whole stand alone ecu.
  2. I have to add here, that it's way easier to drive around here then back in Hawaii with a modded car. I haven't received one ticket since moving here because I am driving normal. The only time that I see people get pulled over is when they are flat out speeding. Atleast here in Columbus, they don't require you to get a reconstruction permit for anything that you do to your car. Of course, getting the recon permit is impossible and driving around is a major hassle with anything done to your car. Grant it, I don't go to the hang out spots and deal with police late at night since I rarely go out here. It was the same in hawaii, police never patrolled the roads late at night until a few jackasses had to get in wrecks doing 120 plus and kill a few people.
  3. I think your on it. The 86/SR-5 were under powered, but could handle with any car on the market that had way more money sunk it. I have a sneaky feeling that with the boxer engine, Toyota is keeping the weight center of gravity low and balanced in order to basically make it handle like a go-cart. We will see. I do agree with the previous post that it should be turbocharged at 25K. The problem with the car the new car is it better be worth the money, because it's not that hard to take an old SR-5, add parts/engine/turbo, and be a tough car to deal with on the road.
  4. You have got to be kidding me about not using POR15. You can do a half ass job grinding off the rust, put the POR15 on it, and it's done.
  5. Good point. Now I hope parts suppliers get crankshaft and rods variations in large supply similar to the options old school VW's have.
  6. Depends on the State that your purchasing from. Ohio does require notorized titles, but other dont
  7. You have to drive the car to the DMV and then they come out to verify that the VIN numbers are correct. That's all I had to do when I bought a car from Indiana. I went to a smaller DMV to make things easier.
  8. Whats easier, a person having to go on the grass to avoid a bicyclist or a bicyclist have to to go off the road to avoid a car? The problem is people riding bikes in places that are dangerous for everyone. There should be roads where bikes are encouraged and places where they shouldn't be. Bikes should be allowed to ride on the sidewalks and should not be allowed on certain stretches of roads.
  9. The ones on the two lanes road outside of New Albany and Gahanna are a pain. The roadd are narrow two lanes to begin with and some people to ride three or four feet out in the lane. The speed limit is 45 and the roads are windy. Even if I am careful, I can't control on coming traffic swerving into my lane to avoid them.
  10. BTW. A. Paul is doing well on the techno channel right now on DI.
  11. I will definately make it out to some this year. Hopefully I can have the Cressida back on the road for it. Good job on the Bentley.
  12. No shit. Small world. Doc, I hope your doing well..
  13. The only channels I occasionally listen on DI is the classic trance and the liquid dnb. DI can still eat a dick. I downloaded 3 mixes of the dabears and all of them went to the recycling bin. I miss the days of audiogalaxy and napster.
  14. I pass on dubstep and electro house. For myself it's all about sunrise trance, chicago hard house, and progressive along the lines of Moshic/Behrouz etc. I'm currently downloading a few mixes so we shall see.
  15. lol, I didn't even notice it. I'm sure the thread will get out of control and end up getting locked.
  16. You have to ship a RB to you and parts are overpriced . The KA engines are no way able to handle high boost unless you can tune your ass off. They are iffy at even 8-10 psi. They have cast cranks and rods. The SR20 engines are the only 4 cylinder option from Nissan. I personally wouldn't touch a focus engine when you can slap on a Volvo head onto the old 2.3 and make shit tons of hp with a solid aftermarket. If you want cheap hp, a 2j, 5.3 gm truck motor is the way to go. For 4 cylinders its a SR20, dodge 2.2/2.4 dohc, 4g63, honda K-series, chevy's ecotec, etc. There are so many ways to skin a cat.
  17. Lol. I knew you were thinking about it or even the VVTI 1uz. I still don't get why w58's and R154's are so dam hard to find in Ohio. Whats even odder is the way supra/cressida parts come and go. For a few months of the year, they are fucking everywhere on craigslist. Then, everything goes MIA. Oh well, shit happens.

    Wow Cable

TW can eat a dick. They charged us for things without our permission and then only wanted to return half the money.
  19. Psss..... Now you have to work on getting a 1uz matted to a W58 in there. That combo in that car is over the top.
  20. Farkas, thats nice and clean... even for Hawaii standards.
