  1. Going to miss 4 events because of work.

That sucks, Ryan...sorry...we tried to space out the schedule as best as we could.

    Please elaborate the Exhibition Events.

Is the PHR event on a Monday ?

Tom, we are trying to set-up a small auto-x course for IFO, and we helped put on an event for PHR last year and they want us to do it again when they come through town. This is more for trying to acquire volunteers for the PHR, and letting people know we may have a course set-up for IFO and a couple of cars on display.

  3. this could be the case, with massive amounts of turbo lag. I heard the Bigger turbo guys not having nearly the traction issues the k03 guys have because their powerband is 3k+, where as the k03s is basically right off idle.

Either way, your neon was clapped.

I've driven a K03 GTI with an APR Stage III on the street with some crappy tires, and soon as you hit the loud pedal the tires do nothing but spin ....it's stupid. If you ain't got dem meats on there(and probably a better suspension) it's pointless (IMO) to do a K03. You will learn to get really good at throttle modulation too.....

  4. I'd like some instruction at said autox events.

Looks like we have a good group of "regulars" to learn from.

Anytime....Ride alongs are always welcome in my car, and I'm always happy to ride along with you.....

Jones has promised to show me how to drive properly in an autox.

I'm sure Jones is a terrific teacher.

    :masturboy:

    Love you Jonezy :nohomo:

  5. And you were a trainer? Srs?

    yes, I'm serious.....

squats and leg press are a great way to reduce a waistline, and burn fat(not to mention build stronger legs)....your quads are one of the biggest muscle in your body - working largest muscle groups = burning the most amount of fat (when it comes to weight training)....

    ...so what am I missing?

  6. you modded the car, you put it together , you added upgrades. thats all fine and dandy. i respect that 100%, but you know what i meant and you understand the difference. some people dont know the difference.

the martin kid that goes to HD in the summer time, claims he builds cars, i think the most hes done is put a smaller pully on a sc cobra and all the sudden, he built that motor.

understand and agree^^......real car guys know....I wouldn't get too worked up about it....

  7. perfect example:

guy totals his f body ( bone stock auto car with long tubes), buys car back, picks up a roller. NO MECHANICAL EXPIERENCE at all, wants to build a forged 347 with spray.... not building trans, stock rear end, his hill-jack friendwho works at a tire place is going to "build" him a car.

    example b

honda guy, is " building" an integra. has a cage put in the car, and has aspirations of running 10s in a 5 sp, NA car, but yet still streetable... not saying impossibro, im saying its highly unfucking likely. now when asking how he plans to get there, seeing as his fastest time is a 14.6, he said i qoute " i saw it on you tube, and it doesnt look that hard" :wtf:

    i just dont get it...

    Yea, that's a bit optimistic.

I think it's just a figure of speech in most cases. Some say 'building up' a car. I think 'built not bought' refers to someone getting a bone stock (or close to) car and adding the perfect recipe of go-fast parts and such to make it what it is, instead of buying someone elses car that has already done all the modifications and you just need to buy it, put the key in, and race it.

I would not say i've 'built' my M3, but I've built it up to what it is today. I chose all the modifications that I wanted, as opposed to buying something that someone else put together. My car was mainly stock and I added the following:

TCK DA suspension with TCK Camber plates 400f/500r

APEX Arc-8 wheels with 255/40/17 Star Specs

    10mm front spacers

    Motion Motorsports Underpanel

    Stromung cat-back exhaust

    3.38 final drive diff

    Shark Injector

    28mm front sway bar

    JB Racing LTW flywheel

    Sachs Race Engineering Pressure plate

    M5 Clutch disc

    Short Shift kit

    AKG DSSR

    CDV Delete

    RTAB Limiters

    Poly FCAB’s

So, I didn't 'build' the car, but every single one of those modifications I bought and installed myself, and never paid someone else to do it.......

.....so not sure what you call that, but I think that is what some of these guys are referring to.....

  8. Reasons I work out:

    Improve Cardiovascular system

Less fat pushing against and clogging my veins and arteries

    Look good for my wife

Be able to keep up and play with my son

Increases and releases endorphin (keep away depression)

    personal pride

being able to eat what I want (to a point) and not gain weight

just trying to look good overall

    - most companies will hire a guy (or gal) that looks 'in shape' over a person that looks out of shape or doesn't take care of themselves. Sometimes they associate that with your work ethic, or quality of work that you do. If you can't take care of your own body, how will you be able to take care of the work that is assigned to you - these are not my words, just what I have read that employers unwillingly admit to(anonymously), but participate in......

I was a personal trainer for almost 2 years, and here was the main reason people came to train:

They were about to get married (want to look 'good' on their wedding day)

They wanted to find a mate (get married)

They were about to get a divorce (get ready to find a new mate)

    Want to improve health

    Enjoyed working out

(this is about in order of popularity ^^)
