Paul Di Resta is already signed and ready to drive for 2013, but Force Inida is still on the hunt for their second driver. The rumor mill is that Bruno Senna is very close to, or already inked a deal, but they didn't want to announce it today and take the spotlight away from the launch of the car. Although they scored more points than they ever have last season they still finished 7th in the Constructors championship. Force India is another team that added in the 'fairing' in the front of the nose, so there maybe some advantage from doing this, as the air will be a little less disturbed going over the car.

The team has said that gains are harder and harder to find due to the regulation stability, so they couldn’t hold back. They had to redesign everything to maximize the potential of the car.

Ferrari sure does know how to build an F1 car, and F138 has definitely carried on that tradition. Ferrari obviously opted to go with the additional 'fairing' piece to hide the step nose. If this pattern holds, then most of the front runners on the grid will opt for this as well. Alonso will be back in the fight again, and Massa will do what he can not to get fired this year (I am guessing this is his last year at Ferrari). This will be Ferrari's second consecutive year with a pull rod front and rear suspension, so they should have it finely tuned by now. Domenicali is very proud of this years car and he said their biggest concentration was the aero on the car, because he felt last years was lacking.

Yes, KERS will play a bigger role in 2014 Engines. 2014 engine rules mandate a 90-degree V6 engine of 1.6 litres, with a fixed crankshaft axis and chassis/gearbox mounting points. The engine can have a single turbo charger, which must be mounted along the cars centreline. Use of KERS is extended with a greater capacity for the Kinetic system (as used currently) as well as the introduction of a Thermal Energy Recovery System (TERS). Further green initiatives are caps on fuel flow and revs limited to 15,000rpm. Despite having a smaller cubic capacity and fuel allocation, the engine will produce the same maximum power as the current 2.4l V8 engines, albeit only when the Energy Recovery Systems are in use.

Today was McLaren-Mercedes Turn to launch......Now last year, Mercedes was one of the only 'front runners' that didn't use the 'step nose' and still did exceptionally well in the drivers and contructors fight. They decided to stay with that look for this year too. With Hamilton going to the Mercedes, that left an open seat at McLaren which was filled by the up and coming Sergio Perez. Jenson has moved to the #1 driver position.

McLaren is claiming this car is a significant redesign of 2012’s challenger. Following 2013’s new regulations, the nose of the MP4-28 features a “vanity panel,” designed to hide the unattractive nose of last season’s car. The overall look of the car, though, isn’t a huge departure from last season.

Dictated by regulations, the engine of the MP4-28 is a 2.4-liter V-8. Power figures aren’t mentioned, but we’re going to assume it’s in the neighborhood of the 750 horsepower
