Huh well I'll be damned, never seen that before. When I lived in Grove City I used to like to stop by Ackerman when they were running autocross in that big parking lot but I never noticed any front wheels coming up like that.

Your right those guys definitely need some practice on the autocross course but it was nice to see them out putting all that horsepower to use instead of just sitting in a parking lot or an auditorium talking about how much power they make. Also helps prove my point when people start talking about huge power numbers and I ask them what the point is if you cant put it to the ground other than massive burnouts and tire carnage.

I watched this show too, and these guys looked pretty terrible at autocrossing. When roid head (the host) was going nuts over a guy drifting all over the course, that is NOT the way to maneuver an autocross course, that just burns time(and tires)

Seeing the back tire pick up is typically due to a stiff suspension and someone braking very hard and trying to turn at the same time.

Here are a few shots of myself for example of front wheel pick up. This typically happens when the tires 'sets' in a groove and you are accelerating at the same time.

First two are with stock suspension and 28mm sway bar set to medium (out of 3 settings)

honestly the motor has enough supporting mods that i hardly notice any lag, it spools up amazingly fast.

My dad has a CDL, im sure if the price is right he would be willing to drive a penske truck.

I just edited OP....truck weighs 7,000 lbs. not 10,000 like previously stated.

Penske rents big enough trucks, but you'll need a cdl driver too.

I have a friend trying to transport this truck from South Bend, IN to Columbus, OH. None of the Uhaul or Ryder Truck places rent a truck and trailer big enough to haul this and he doesn't want to pay a tow company to flatbed it that whole way.

Specs are as follows: 1966 Grumman Olson Step Van Wheelbase is 13ft, width is 6 ft, truck weighs 7,000 lbs.

Well tires for one thing aren't cheap, you want to run a Briggs you'll be bored in a hurry. These guys are running 125 shifter Karts. Just think of it as a car without shocks and springs.

how many carts do you usually get to come out? is it competitive? easy to learn?

There are 4 signed up now, including two juniors.....and that doesn't include AJ or Andy....so looks like 6 for tomorrow. Yes, they are competitive, they look like a BLAST to drive, but I can't speak to the 'easy to learn' part.
