  1. When I saw Wagner posted a thread called Cannon fun in pics and video I was expecting something different.
  2. I wasn't saying your suspension sucks or anything like that. I was mearly suggesting maybe you could try slightly different setting and angles. So you are running a four-link out back. How do you like it? (other than trails) Have yuo ever tried runnig a ladder bar set up? I have basically stock upgraded stuff on the Cutlass. I have solid single adjustable uppers and southside lifts for the rears. I also only have stock shocks and drag springs. I am looking at a ladder bar for my over winter project. I have wondered if changing to a true 4-link would be better? Any suggestions?
  3. I watched Jeff Lutz go 7.teensomething on a Wednesday night before drag week this year. When I saw him pull up the lanes I thought now way he's going to be able to make a full pass on a Wednesday night at Trails. Low and behold he did it and it was spectacular! My point is this, is it possible that your suspension or your truck as a whole is just not set up right? I know that my Cutlass "should" 60 somewhere in the low 40's to high 30's..."SHOULD". I know my best 60 is a paltry 1.45 and that is because I do not have my rear suspension set up for the power I am making. Thusly over the winter I have plans for switching over to a ladder bar set up. That should allow me to launch the car correctly and bring my 60's down to where I think they should be. I don't overly have a problem with the way Trails preps, I more have a problem with the way the facility is run.
  4. Do you want a V8 or a V6 or does it matter? I'll keep my eye out to help you if you like.
  5. CAn I right 'nins on race gus' on my winshiuld and blame Scott that my car olny rins 10"s?
  6. I agree. If you want to tough it out I can understand that, but why would you put your babies at risk. I know the weather stations tend to over exaggerate the weather sometimes but this was clearly going to be bad. I can't help but feel terrible for what those two little boys went through.
  7. I don't know how I would be able to deal with a loss like this. http://blog.al.com/wire/2012/11/two_new_york_city_boys_found_d.html
  8. I have the same and I am on the east side. (Broad ST.)
  9. All I'm asking is this a special head or just a standard head?
  10. My 99 has 222,000+ miles on it and I have beat on it everyday I have owned it. I put 2 Centerforce DF clutches in it and hated both of them. The first let out with only 6K miles and the second I got 30,000 miles but could never shift it over 4500 RPM +/-. I put a stock replacement from autozone and have been ripping it for about 100,000 miles. I'm sure you are aware of this, but if get an M6 and you beat on it even a modest amount you will destroy the posi unit.
  11. Is this something special other than being mad in the U.S.A.? I'm having a hard time giving a shit otherwise. Sorry.
  12. where are you and do you have a good air hammer?
  13. Everyone loves the WS6 Camaro's. http://www.octanemotorsports.com/images/vizage_98_02_camaro3.jpg
  14. Any idea when it is supposed to come out?
  15. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/CompuStar+-+Remote+Start+System/6739219.p?id=1218789786504&skuId=6739219
  16. Agreed. The ones I've seen work most of the time. Good remote start systems run a few hundred dollars and these are $50, you will get what you pay for my friend.
  17. Agreed. The general rule depending on who you talk to is a tenth off the 60' will give you 2-3 tenths off the E.T. So take the 2.075 60' and subtract .2 to .3 tenths and that drops the E.T. down to 9.91-10.51 which sounds right for the 130 MPH trap speed. So I agree with the good power car on street tires theory, although a 9 second car on street radials I think would have a very difficult time getting down the track and would not turn a 130 MPH trap speed unless it has some very wicked suspension. I'm in for details on this car. My curiosity is peaked here.
  18. I sure hope someday I'm not inconvenienced by a drunk driver hitting me or any car driven by someone I care about nor do I hope to be inconvenienced by a police officer asking me what happened when the driver of a car that hit me was operated by a drunk driver. Life is full of inconveniences wether it be this or the guy in front of me at the gas station trying to decide what number lottery ticket he wants to buy. I would rather experience the inconveniences that possibly save my life.
  19. I bookmarked this onm y calender. I'll be there.
  20. That house is in the video for Birdman Fire Flame. I can't imagine someone putting that much money into anything and not thinking about something like the bugs.I would Imagine there is something in the water to handle the bugs. Now the humidity is different unless he has someway to keep the water cool enough which might actually help keep the humidity away around his house?
  21. The radiator shop does everything. I have even sent them radiators for generators and have had the recore them.
  22. Since you already have a Snap On talk to your dealer about trading up. If you bought it from a dealer and it is still in good condition they will give you exactly what you paid for it as long as you trade laterally or up. I have a KRL722A and a side cabinet and this past April Jeff offered me $5400 ($1300 more than what I paid) to trade up to a KRL1033 and the deal came with a free SS top and lighted hutch. I wanted it badly but didn't want to take on the extra $5000 price. I'm sure you don't want to take that on either. Basically talk to your dealer and see what he can do for you. Craftsmen, Homak, General are all good boxes for the guy who changes his on oil at home.
  23. I doubt the type of people who do this sort of thing care about the consequenses or ever have/had/getting a good job the pays enough to not need to do this sort of thing.
  24. JC is not in business anymore. The guy that ran JC's is now over at Skinner deisel service. They have a nice radiator shop there. The corner of Lockborne and 104. I have used them several times. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to take an IC there.
