  1. What barriers are you referring to? The staging lages are fenced in with chain link.
  2. I have a kegorator I would sell for $50. It's brown but it does get very cold.
  3. If it's raining tomorrow they won't care, the reschedule date is for Sunday.
  4. If you're not calling Jim's, you're wasting your time. What ever you have they may already have one one the shelf for you. Plus if you want it built better than original (higher amp output or higher voltage or different pully...) they can hook that up also.
  5. Maybe the oval is coming loose, better put a bowtie around it before it falls off Has he had a chance to isolate the converter yet?
  6. I would put a LSD in it and be done with it. Unless you are looking at big big power levels the stock axle's should be pretty stout. Do you know the spline count on your axle's? A 12 bolt is as strong as a 9" when built with equal quality parts. By building the rear end that you have you eliminate the cost of buying an aftermarket housing and (9") center section. In the end you could be looking at a stout rear end for less than $600 as opposed to an aftermarket differential that could cost you upwards of $2500 or more.
  7. So far looks promising but I will definetly let you know.
  8. You can get a crank kit at advanced auto for $240 I believe is the price. It comes with new main and rod bearings.
  9. There are not that many races that pay enough to cover the expenses of the race if you win. Drag week I don't think is about the money so much as it is about the challenge and the thrill of competing in something not many fast cars can compete in.
  10. Have you ever thought about competing in Drag week? With the ET's your running you would be a top contender for sure.
  11. Just curious, what would it take to make this car able to compete for Drag week? I think it would be so cool to be a part of something like that.
  12. On thier way to Tulsa Lutz and his crew stopped by Trails for some tuning on Wednesday. I talked to him and his crew chief for about 45 minutes. Both really laid back and cool guys to talk to. I pull for him to win every year.
  13. Your car looks sweet. The hood looks real good too and I love the color. That twin turbo will make that car a even better time to drive. Next time you snap some pics let me know and I'll let you borrow my phone that way we can all see exactly what it is you're taking pics of
  14. http://i1127.photobucket.com/albums/l622/Gbracing81/1014122024_zps47c529f4.jpg http://i1127.photobucket.com/albums/l622/Gbracing81/1014122024a_zpsd6a446b5.jpg The ajoining rod broke in half causing this and other major damage. Blew the thrust side of #5 from the head deck to the oil pan rail completely out. This happened on an chassis dyno. Was a 383 making over 400 RWHP and over 600 RWT. The HP curve was still climbing when the engine gave out at 6800 RPM.
  15. I rock out that 396. The ls swap is cool but the truck is a complete classic with the original engine. I'd keep it that way. My $.02
  16. Too bad someone doesn't edit it with the street fighter sound effects. ALLYOUGET!!!!!!!
  17. She stepped away to get a gun or a knife? I think this situation is tricky and could be argued either way. Cleveland is pretty ruff in some areas. He has a responsibility for that bus and the passengers on it. The video really isn't clear as to what she did after she shoved him. She was standing there in some of the frame saying something that sounded like "do something". I doubt if he would have asked her to leave she would have without a fight. I think what he did was the far side of justified but justified nonetheless.
  18. Paul, do you remember when my Cutlass popped on the Slow Motion dyno a few years ago. I need to put some of those pics up here. http://i1127.photobucket.com/albums/l622/Gbracing81/IMG-20120517-00540.jpg http://i1127.photobucket.com/albums/l622/Gbracing81/IMG-20120517-00539.jpg Here's pic of my center section from earlier this year. luckily all I had to replace was the housing, support and pinion yolk and drive shaft. Still expensive but could have been several hundred worse.
  19. http://i1127.photobucket.com/albums/l622/Gbracing81/1011121311_zps27512ca9.jpg http://i1127.photobucket.com/albums/l622/Gbracing81/1011121311a_zpsfbabfa33.jpg http://i1127.photobucket.com/albums/l622/Gbracing81/1011121312_zps645388be.jpg http://i1127.photobucket.com/albums/l622/Gbracing81/1011121312a_zps1eb299d0.jpg http://i1127.photobucket.com/albums/l622/Gbracing81/1011121312b_zpsb9e2bfe7.jpg I got a better SnapOn mini fridge so I'm selling this one. Start it off at $100 OBO. The washers come with it. The front left bottom is dented where the adjuster leg is so I use the washers to level it out. Does not affect the operation or usefulness of the unit one bit. If you give me the asking price I will bring it to you anywhere in Columbus or any town/city that touches it.
  20. I was looking at an old conneting rod from a grenaded 383 literally yesterday thinking I should start a carnage thread. I will post a pic of it later on.
  21. I'm in. I'll be running the gamblers race with the Cutlass.
  22. How many passes on the tires? Do they have tubes in them? I wonder if they would fit my Cutlass? The section width is 11.4 where my hoosiers are 11.2.
