I wish I could add rep points!!!
  2. There are several good reasons for it. I keep making the car faster and I feel that it's more important to make the car handle and stop before I make it too much faster.
  3. I did not know that. That is good info.
  4. LT1Rick-Thank you for the information.
  5. I have a 9" so the c-clip problem is not there. The car comes wih descent brakes from Pontiac. I was more or less curious if anyone here had heard or knew of somehing better. There's a lot of information roaming around this site. If you don't ask, they won't tell.
  6. I put the wrong casting number there.
  7. I have a set of Z06 heads. They are getting "tuned up". When I get them back I will be putting them on and I will do the cam at the same time. Once the heads are off, changing the cam is only another 20 minutes of work. I don't want to put a whole lot into the cam for now. Thats why I am interested in this cam.
  8. I'm about due for new brakes on my 99 T/A. Has anyone here put larger brakes on thier F-body? I have 17/18" wheels. I'm thinking maybe Corvette stuff. I've seen online some people make brackets to adapt C5 stuff for the front but not the rear.
  9. Down the road I will want a more aggressive cam, but for now with nearly 210,000 miles I want just as Gary said.
  10. I think that may be the cam I want to get. PM me about it please.
  11. I am looking for a small cam to go with my 241 heads. Nothing radical. Something similar to the 2002 Z06 stock cam.
  12. I've heard good things, but I personally always go to Hardshift in Johnstown and I send people there also
  13. Try the EGR valve. Turn the key on, then tap the egr LIGHTLY with a small hammer or similar striking tool. Then try to start the engine. Sometimes carbon builds up on the egr plunger and won't allow it to close properly causing an internal vacume leak. Good luck and I hope this helps.
  14. They can be difficult sometimes. I've done the pass side twice and the drivers side 4 times. Lifetime warranties are the way to go on those motors.
  15. http://www.cpttransmission.com Maybe this could give you some ideas or shed some light on the subject.
  16. But you have turbo X2. I run 10.60/70's with 6.8 1/8 mile @ 100 MPH.
  17. I have one on my Cutlass. One time years and years ago I made a few passes and then added ice to it. I remember I did run a quicker on the pass with ice. Did the ice help or did I just run the car differently???? Either way I only run it now because it's already on the car. If I didn't already have one I doubt I'd waste the money to buy one. I don't really see many people running them at the trck. So either they're a best kept secret or the aren't worth it.
  18. You can use steel wool or a scotch bright pad. Then after it is clean you can use a white crayon (or similar marking tool) to rub over the timing marks and numbers. Then wipe off the excess. You will be left with clearly visable numbers and timing marks. Even when the rust comes back you will still be able to see your timing marks. This is how I mark the balancer on my Chevy.
  19. All of the pics here are great. You all do very good work.
  20. Talk to a mortgage lender first to see what you qualify for.
  21. I found a way around the system. I can upload that pic if you like.
  22. I access this site thru my computer at work so I cannot post pics. However, if you like I can text you a pic of mine.
  23. She really knows how to take care of them. I want to live to be her age!
