Yes they were, in small numbers. IIRC there were MUCH fewer of the F50's made than the 1200 or so F40's. I'd assume 50-100 in the United States?

Driving home from class today as I was about to get onto 270 west from 23, a Delaware cop came out of nowhere behind me in (99% positive) what looked like a Caprice PPV, and not like an Impala. I'd seen a bunch at Caughlin Chevy about a year ago but they were all bare black or white, interesting seeing one on the road after so much time. Anyone else seen these/know if the local PD's use them? Interesting alternative to the Charger/Exploder most PD's seem to be using
