  1. Saw 6 cruisers in Dublin on Friday, 3 total yesterday between Ackerman and Sawmill at different times of day, didn't seem like the overkill it was made out to be.
  2. Is NTR open every wednesday during the summer?/how much does it cost to run?
  3. Going there to spectate, it going to be a big turnout more than likely? I was there briefly a few weeks ago and it was pretty packed still, at 4pm
  4. Looking forward to these, maybe they'll bring the Ute. Horsepower wars are really coming back lately it seems
  5. DAMN that looks good, nice choice in color too
  6. This. 3 years ago this, as well as no talking on the phone was passed in CT (where I was from originally). The law didn't do much at first, but as of now it's been halting the majority of teens from txting constantly. Still, nearly impossible to prove, so it'll be extremely hard to enforce.
  7. Shift, then, as you're letting the clutch out, match it more or less with the throttle, but a lot less. Like riding a motorcycle, you don't want too much throttle after letting out the clutch, but not enough won't get you going anywhere
  8. Just go out and drive as much as you can, it'll take a solid few weeks of daily driving the stickshift to really get the hang of it and not have any problems at all. Just be easy with the throttle and getting moving from a stop, and it shouldn't be a major problem. Definitely go to some steep hills and keep repeating hill starts until you have them perfect; once you have that down, it should be simple driving.
  9. Ridden a 250 2 stroke one of these, the thing was epic. Can only imagine how epic this thing must be.
  10. Any of you guys willing to do the VATS override for me? I've never done it and really don't wanna screw anything up cutting the wrong wires or something. PM me if you're interested and I'll see what we can work out for getting it done. I just really need the car running and can't currently afford the $650 to replace the keys and ignition cylinder (was quoted that for parts and install), so getting this done problem free would be a big help!
  11. 130k pounds roughly they said? One expensive ass Juke, but that would actually be a pretty cool little car.
  12. Sounds easy enough, I'll get started on it after class tomorrow and see if it runs!
  13. 90's roadmaster? Definitely seems like it'd be a fun car to mess around with, with a T56 and LS-X in it; classic/unassuming CTS-V wagon
  14. That. Would. Be. Epic. Would love to see that done!
  15. How difficult is the VATS system to do? And so long as the security light is flashing, it's pretty much certain thAt it's the VATS, and not the ignition switch, correct?
  16. Had the entire starter unit checked out by the shop that rebuilt it, thing works perfectly, so I'm gonna try the bypassing of the VATS tonight, and hopefully it'll start
  17. Ok, will do it short term. Can you still buy the keys from GM or should I just have them remade at a hardware store or something?
  18. I'll make sure it's the VATS, then try bypassing it later today. Will the resistor work at least for the time being?
  19. I'm pretty positive it kept going on and off, so yes. I'll try it again when I get back from class and make sure.
  20. Alright I'll do that right away and see, hopefully that's the case so I can get it started again, already lol. Since my starter is currently off the car, can I have the ignition switch checked at Autozone or Advance Auto Parts? If not, I'll reinstall it and try it installed.
  21. Should I just take a voltmeter and make sure it's reading a decent amount of volts?/if it turns out the ignition switch is fine, is it likely wiring or the VATS is bad?
  22. Not yet, I'll try that in the AM and see if it's the problem; could it be the ignition fuse or starter fuse as well? Took them out and cleaned them, but they didn't really show any signs of not working or major corrosion.
  23. A couple of weeks ago my '00 Trans Am was running fine daily, and all of a sudden one morning it wouldn't start. I've tried having the starter rebuilt, checked the battery, made sure there were no corrosions on the wires, and have done just about everything I can think of, and the car still won't give any sign it wants to crank over. Could the problem be the VATS system? Just stumbled upon that researching starting problems, and think it could be the cause. Any insight into the matter would be greatly appreciated!
