My rule of thumb is to have the cheapest single-compound winter tires in the slightly oversized (approximately one-inch) OD to boost ground clearance, regardless of drivetrain configuration since braking and most situations of cornering are independent of which wheel is driven. Dedicated winter tires are a cheap and a different form of insurance. To me, they're a requirement because my tire sets are dedicated for certain purposes making them unsuitable for driving in winter.

I wouldn't go with 3" exhaust, there is a range of annoying noise produced by the engine right at the range of highway-cruising speed. If you're interested, I have a NISMO S-Tune catback exhaust sitting in my garage attic.

Nowadays, I use internet heavily to plan my routes, even when I know the shortest route to a destination that I have driven through many times over. The traffic data is what I look for and I apply judgement to the presented data. Incidents in Columbus traffic are mind boggling in a way that the explanation of the cause might belong in very silly or unnecessary categories. It is not uncommon for an accident to happen in a straight section of a highway in broad daylight, light traffic flow, and on a dry road surface.

Look for one in a southern state especially TX. They're cheaper and a lot less rusty over there. In GMT800, the extended cab comes with a 6.5' bed, the short bed is 5.8' and it's usually paired to the crew cab and regular cab.
