I hear you. I was basically kidding. I can fit one kid in my firebird so I understand. Coneys are good.
-
At least my car would be allowed at your show. Do you still have the tanning place next door? Back in the day there was great eye candy. Forget Skyline, see if you can get some Advanced Auto Part girls.

I'm in for the hang out. I put some free railroad stuff under my fs display case thread. If anyone wants it ill bring it with me.

There are a couple websites that publish when car shows are. Old Ride is one but there are others. Just not the first week of July. That's Good Guys.

You'll like this: Gun Ban Would Spark Mass Resistance

They have their OWN interests in mind. When you have less than half the nation supporting the entire nation it's pretty obvious where some of the problems lie. IMO almost all of the politicians are shit. They bitch across the aisles like spoiled little 5 year olds and can only agree to give themselves raises. I don't see anyone ever going door to door trying to take everyone's guns. No LEO in their right mind would do that. The media will just continue to try to make every law abiding American who owns guns look like an evil 2 headed monster. -
I would be the first one in line at Cabelas when it opens in march.
-
Good idea on the car show. I decide based on if there is any salt left on the roads. I know that's not what your looking for but.... Normally by mid to late March there has been enough rain to wash most of the salt off.

This is a red-ish cherry (maybe) wood display cabinet and it lights from the bottom. I used to keep my 1:18 cars in it. It measures about 36" long and about 14" deep. It does have a few scratches but is in good shape. Paid $125 for it at an estate sale about 10 years ago. Asking $50 or trade for ammo etc. My dad gave me a railroad crossing sign and light that i'll give away for free. The light lights up but the sign does not. The crossing sign has reflectors and a few are missing or broken. These might be cool for a man cave. Thanks http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/DSCN9568_zps0dbebf48.jpg http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/DSCN9565_zps24f61268.jpghttp://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/DSCN9569_zps428c5362.jpghttp://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/DSCN9570_zpsd9f78e78.jpghttp://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/DSCN9571_zps8bfc5cc1.jpg

Sold/traded for a nice 2dr blazer. Please lock.

I had a Steyr m9 about 10 years ago. It worked and didn't jam but I just didn't like it. I ended up trading it. I wouldn't say it was a bad gun , it just didnt fit me. They are making them again and now have a rail.
-
Does vances have them in stock? My friend said all he saw were the gen 3 that wew $30 each.
-
I am interested. I have all three Smokey and the Bandit movies, all four seasons of Knight Rider, and several seasons of Dukes of Hazzard. All are on DVD but I could bring a player if needed. I also have a bad movie called Thrust. It's mostly ricers racing and hot girls but has minimal plot.

It's good that you found some. Just watch the Butler Creeks. I had one split at the seam while in the gun. It held but as soon as I ejected it, the mag fell apart in my hands. Maybe it's a fluke but.....

I haven't washed my dd in over a year and I'm not about to start now! But if there is a weekend day I might be up for it. As long as my firebird is running I would be in for cruise ins during the nice months.
-
Very cool. True story... When I was there a lot, there was a part time employee who had a camaro the same year with the same engine as my firebird. He is still a good friend and I still call and bug him for car advice.

So... Can I ask what and where your store is? Hopefully it's not the adv at 71/161 that i was putting down but like I said its been a while since I was there.
-
^^ Exactly. I worked in sales (non-automotive) for a long time. A customer may not like it that the person helping them does not know an answer but its better to admit it and find someone who does than sell them something wrong or be rude about it. No one will ever know everything about every car. (Although I'm sure someone on here will disagree.)
-
Someone on Armslist was trying to sell some. It was in ohio within the last few days but it was stupid money. Good luck.
-
Being proud of your store and crew is a good thing. But I'm not trying to hijack this tread either. I just wanted to add my two cents about what matters to me in a parts store. Thanks.

Maybe I'll have to give adv another shot. It's sucked having a store less than a mile away and driving up to Polaris or Napa on 161 just to avoid that store. Not saying either is better but my choice was based on the level of customer service. I used to live near the adv on Bethel about 8 years ago. I knew the whole staff and they knew me. I didn't buy a ton of stuff but i would find reasons to go there because I enjoyed hanging out with the employees. When I moved I went back for a while but eventually the staff changed and there wasn't the reason to drive farther to see strangers.
-
I live near the adv near 71 and 161. I rarely go in there even for oil or stuff I don't need help with because their service is bad. To me price is a big factor so I shop around or order from someplace like Rock. But when a store's customer service is downright bad, I'll drive out of my way not to go there. Customer service is huge. If an employee does not know something he or she needs to keep a smile on their face and admit it. Then find someone who does. Don't sell someone the wrong part or have a bad attitude. Disclaimer- it's been a very long time since I was there, if its changed feel free to correct me.

I know they won't fit but I have had good luck with para's (guns). They are a good alternative for someone who wants a 1911 but wants to hold more than 8 rounds. Sorry I should have phrased my post differently.
-
Ever tried the Paraordinance P14? Factory mags are 14 rounds and you can buy 15 round mags too. They don't stick out the bottom and the grip is only a little wider than standard 1911. Para makes good stuff IMHO.

This is why Cheaper Than Dirt should be boycotted

I tried to buy a few things 2 weeks ago. They charged my cc and then 2 days later cancelled my order due to inventory shortages. I won't use them again. Also FYI CDNN's website is down now too.
