  1. I'm hoping my kids will be into them in a few years. My daughter and I have already built a few of the $5 testor plane models. I figure mine can go to them some day.
  2. Here are a few more. Years ago a friend wanted to build a mustang II so I built the ridiculous burple one so show him what it would look like done. He then sold the car. http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/DSCN9597_zps064b5326.jpg http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/DSCN9596_zps975b491d.jpg http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/DSCN9595_zpsefdd8581.jpg http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/DSCN9594_zpsa9501870.jpg
  3. I used to build a lot but not so much since the kids came along. My favorite car is the Firebird so I have a bunch of those and I really like old race cars. Here are a few of the better ones. http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/DSCN9587_zpsc2349cd9.jpg http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/DSCN9588_zps0d2f4496.jpg http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/DSCN9589_zps6be2f4ce.jpg http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/DSCN9590_zps644566a7.jpg http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/DSCN9591_zpscb8cd0a7.jpg http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/DSCN9593_zps6961fd2d.jpg
  4. Cabellas had their brand of mags in as of yesterday. They look like Troy's. I think they were $24.99. Not a great price but if someone really needs them....
  5. Finally going to make it out.
  6. I have shot both and have a PF9. I bought mine several years ago before the LC9 came out. After shooting both I actually like the trigger on the PF9 better. The only ammo that did not feed was the Winchester Ranger which has a pretty wide hollow point. I switched to Hornaday Critical Defense and it feeds every time and I've never had a problem with FMJ. After about 50 rounds my hand is done for the day but its purpose isn't to be a plinking gun. Its pretty accurate for what it is and is nice and light. I would probably buy the shield if I were to buy one now, but I don't see any reason to trade up. Good luck.
  7. Very cool. I've always liked the dark blue formulas. Congrats on the pick up.
  8. We have an older house (late 50's) in Worthington and need some electrical work done. We want to add some cans or other overhead lights in our living room as right now we can only use lamps that are plugged in. There is a pretty good size crawl space above the ceiling to access should not be a problem. However.... since our house is older, about half of the house is on the same breaker. Ideally, I would like the new lights run off either a different breaker or some rewiring done at the box so we don't blow the breaker all the time. As it is if we use a space heater and have the lights on upstairs, it pops sometimes. Anyone know a good electrician? Thanks.
  9. I think they said there is something like 40,000 pieces of fishing equipment. That includes all the little lures etc. There was a pretty cool display of reels designed so customers could check them out before buying. I'm not into fishing so I have no idea of brands but it rivals some of the Bass Pro Shops I've seen in other cities. They are catering to folks who fish at Alum Creek and are also expecting Lake Erie folks to make the trek down here too.
  10. I got a tour of the store today. It is very cool. The director of marketing said even though the store is only 80,000 sf they have 80 percent of the inventory the MI and WV store have. The main difference is they cut down on the amount of displays. There are still a ton of animals but they used elevated displays and taller shelves which accommodate more items. The gun library and the regular gun section is pretty large. Another area they cut was the diving and boating sections. I also saw pmags for $16.99. Ammo prices were about what you would expect. I wish I could have bought stuff. They are also anticipating a shortage of parking and are talking about using a shuttle system to help get everyone in. This store is going to do well although I foresee parking being a nightmare for the first few weeks.
  11. I am going to a lunch event there tomorrow. I don't know if the pos stations will be open to buy anything but it will still be cool to wander around.
  12. You could try calling Midwest Photo on High Street. I don't think they could print it there but they may know who could.
  13. I bet they're playing footsie under the table. How stupid.
  14. Watched it twice. Very cool.
  15. Regarding learning to ride, do they offer any basic rider courses out there through the BMV? Ohio has the following which is a great way to learn. They provide the bikes (250cc) and when you're done you get your license. http://www.motorcycle.ohio.gov/basic_rider.stm I know you are in AZ but they may have something similar. Also take a look at a book called Proficient Motorcycling by David Hough. It's a good read for any rider. Good luck.
  16. There is a new Ace Hardware in Worthington at High and North. Everything in the store is 20 percent off through the end of today. They have craftsman power and hand tools. It's a pretty nice store and has a selection similar to the Sears hardware stores.
  17. Aim Suplus sells the ammo in 440 round spam cans. I ordered another last week for $79 but it looks like they are out of stock now. They do have these but the price isn't as good. http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=A76254MATCH&name=Surplus+Russian+7.62x54R+182grn+FMJ+Match+225rd+can&groupid=40
  18. Soooo... How about that display cabinet? Anyone interested? 2turboz if they throw that stuff away, maybe you can sell some and make some extra $$.
  19. Does it have to be a car? Anyone ever seen the 80s movie wierd science?
  20. I know. I'm not happy about it but I know. I have my single shot 22 so I should be good to defend against anything.
  21. CA, IL and NY have to be the most f'd up states when it comes to crime and restricting the gun rights of honest citizens. Ohio may not be perfect, but I'm happy I live here. OH
  22. I see two issues to ever fixing the problem. 1 There are too many people that can't look beyond their own noise even if they do not like a program. They end up doing nothing. Or there are too many people who feel their one voice or one vote won't make a difference and they do nothing. 2 there are enough people who are receiving benefits and are willing to fight to keep getting free stuff, they go to the poles, make noise etc and get what they want. With so many people in this country receiving some kind of benefit, this isn't a fair fight. Plus as a politician who wants votes, who are you going to cater to?
