We are going down to Lindsey tonight to try and make a deal on a 2011 odyssey. My wife said the salesman was kind of a douche when it was just her this afternoon. I'll post pics if we end up getting it.

My wife has a one car attached garage. My oversized 2-car garage is behind the house. A flex would easily fit in the back garage. We considered moving cars around but logistically it makes more sense for her to use the attached garage.

So we spent all day looking. Thanks to Ryan and Andy who were both cool. We tried the flex and it fit but there was only a c-hair of clearance so it's out. Bummer too since we both liked driving it. We also liked the Sienna but they only come with really light tan or very light grey interior. Also the spare tire is under the car which seems like a bad design. I think we are going to look for a 2011 Odyssey. That's the year they changed the body style and made some nice changes inside. Might be a little over the original budget but not much.

I would just stop by vances. My friend bought one and they had cards they were giving out of the company to call. It was less than 200 for the other side of columbus. I think they charged a little extra for stairs but they put his in the basement. I have no idea the name as its been a few years.

Is that only for new cars or certified or 2010+? I haven't financed a car in over 10 years so these may be dumb questions but I just don't know. I just buy old cars and drive them till they die. Since this is the wife and kids, I'm trying to get something nice that will last. My credit is not an issue.

Aww come on I've never had to replace anything on my 60k mile firebird. Seriously though, thanks for the advice on the traverse. I think we are shooting for a 2010 or newer. I'm not opposed to going a little older but it would need to have really good miles. Plus the interest rates are better for financing if we go 2010 or newer.

I think we are back to a minivan. Our current van has sliding doors which are nice since the kids are young. She thinks she would miss that. We are spending Saturday searching. At this point we will probably focus on the Odyssey, Sienna, Caravan/Town and Country and the Mazda 5. We are also still going to check out the flex (my personal favorite) although I'm still worried about the width.

What about the Chevy traverse? Anyone have input on it? My sis in law has the Buick enclave and likes it. The Chevy is a little cheaper and imo looks better.

Is that the 2.4l 4cyl or the 3.6 v6?

We will be up there as soon as we find a sitter. Nothing like trying to do a test drive with two kids. I'm keeping an open mind. The last 2 cars she basically got what was available and we got a "good" deal on. We both like the looks of the journey but we agree about the seats. Our neighbor has an older freestyle which they don't make anymore. They have been happy with it so something along those lines (of whatever brand) is also a possibility. I'm good with Mopar too.

That's what I was thinking. I know I can get it replaced but as soon as I mentioned a the option of a "New" vehicle it was all over.

I like the flex a lot but its wide. My wife's garage is narrow and she backs in. The flex gives us a total of 6 inches clearance to get in. Definately would want to practice before purchase. Thanks

For the last few months its been slipping and not wanting to shift usually when starting up. I did a dump and flush on the tranny and it seemed to get worse. I used honda ATF and the level is fine. Today the wife was driving and it wouldn't shift out of first when she started up from a red light. She had to pull over and restart it. It used to random but is getting more frequent.

Our odyssey is a 2002. It has around 125k on it.

We are in the market for a new SUV or minivan or something in between. We have an Odyssey but the tyranny is getting questionable so it's time to go. We need a 3rd row for family and trips. A newer odyssey is an obvious choice but she wants something different if we can find it. Our budget with financing is around $20k and we would like it to be as new as possible. Anyone have advice on what to look for or stay away from? We looked at a flex but its too wide for the garage. A journey is a possibility. Thanks

Timney makes both a complete trigger kit and just the hammer and sear kit. Brownells sells both. If you want to change the stock there are a bunch of options. Also a red dot or 3x9 scope will make plinking even more fun. There are a ton of YouTube videos and its easy to do stuff yourself. Good luck
