  1. The show is August 23-25 and is at the Dayton Mariott hotel on the south side of Dayton. The main show is Saturday and Sunday. It's open to all years Firebirds and Trans Ams and there are usually 300-400 cars. Info is below. I usually head down Saturday morning. There are hotels near the show and several near I-70 and I-75 that are a bit cheaper. http://www.78ta.com/nats/
  2. Well.....if the brilliant folks in the govt want to bail out Detroit, at least the money would stay local. Money will be wasted but its better than giving money to countries half way around the world that don't like us anyway.
  3. You don't have to go fast when you look that good.
  4. Bump. Most of the built cars are gone. I still have the built lt1 camaro and the lambo. I still have all the ones in boxes except the 85 z28 and 69 Shelby mustang. I also have lots if clear plastic cases for 1:24 and 1:25 cars.
  5. I miss the 74 Olds 442 my dad bought new when he got back from Vietnam. It was lime green with white stripes. He gave it to me and it needed work so i sold it. Huge mistake. My only photos are 35mm.
  6. Different branches sometimes have different options. I towed a 78 suburban back from NJ on a large size uhaul trailer. Maybe call another location? Good luck.
  7. Does anyone ever do burnouts off Campusview anymore? I work right there and it used to be a lot of fun. Now it seems like the cops are there at 5 and stay till at least 10. I'll prob head to Busch at least one night as long as the weather cooperates.
  8. I am still cleaning out stuff and I have tons of old car magazines and some gun magazines from the last 5 to 10 years. All are free. So far I have about 100 car mags that are mostly High Performance Pontiac and Muscle Car Review. There are a few random Hot Rod, Mustang etc there too. Lots of cool LS cars. There are about 40 gun mags so far and most are Guns and Ammo with a few Shotgun News and random others. Free to whoever comes to get them. Thanks.
  9. Also just found a box of clear cases. Each one holds 1 1/24 or 1/25 scale car. The brands vary but all are in good used condition. Maybe $3 each? Make someone a good package deal on a big lot.
  10. When I was a teenager I would use a BB gun and destroy the ones that didn't turn out well. Looking back they would have been great for parts. Ok I'll look up shipping rates to wv. Can you send me your zip? Thanks
  11. Sure. It's new and still in shrink wrap.
  12. That's a rip off. Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Carolla used to have The Man Show and did the same bit 10 years ago. Still funny but not an original idea.
  13. I'm thinning out my collection of model cars. Most of these I've had since I was a kid. I was never a pro but these make good display pieces. Or take them apart and make slot cars out of them. The models in boxes a combination of new in shrink wrap to parts kits that have been started. I'm asking $5 each for the built models and $5 to $10 for the ones in boxes depending on if they are new or parts kits. Thanks http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/model1_zps6d0d6699.jpghttp://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/model4_zps9cf348c0.jpg
  14. To my knowledge it is the original tranny. We bought it about 5 years ago with 85k on it. The previous owners had it serviced at Roush in Westerville. I have a print out of the service records which says a "trans recall" in 2004 but it doesn't have any details regarding what was done or what the recall intailed. I have always changed the oil/filter every 4k miles and changed the tranny fluid not long ago. I have service records since we have owned it and the print out for the previous owners. I will also say the trans slipping is very infrequent so chances are it will be perfect on test drives. But I am trying to be as honest as I can.
  15. Please read entire description. This is a 2002 Honda Odyssey EX with 123,6xx miles. I posted about this a while back. The tranny has started to slip but its infrequent (maybe once a week). It runs good and looks good but since its the wife and kids we replaced it with a 2011. It comes from a smoke free house and we had the timing belt, water pump and motor mounts replaced in 2011 at 101,000 miles. Immke (now Germain) did the work and I have the receipt. It also has new Michelin tires on it that are less than a year old. Its a really good van but I've tried to price it with the understanding its not perfect. I'm using it as my dd right now as it has good cold ac and my old buckets don't. Test drives are welcome but don't expect any surprises as its an 11 year old Honda van. Everything works on it including the sliding doors, locks, windows etc and has a vhs entertainment system you can hook a dvd to. Asking $5,000 for CR. Thanks. http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/775e3446-6d85-4db2-a7ff-31efbe69c9d6_zpsf08bb848.jpg http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/b2675932-32b2-4809-9342-e0a3928cfb15_zpsd04e3e0e.jpg http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/DSCN9612_zps2d39e309.jpg http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/DSCN9610_zps791e4587.jpghttp://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/DSCN9613_zpsf418beeb.jpg

I used a bunch of 22 from my grandpa's house several years ago that had to be from the 1950s or 1960s. In one of the boxes the rounds were tacky so I passed but the rest shot fine. The price was $0.49 for 50. Wouldn't hat be nice? There are tons of surplus ammo being imported that is all 30+ years old. Most of it still shoots fine. G&A or American Handgunner did an article a while Back where they submerged ammo to see if it would still shoot. It was pretty good.
  19. This firebird came late but wow. Awesome does not begin to describe it. It was a 71 base firebird that now has a punched out LS1 with a T56. Everything was nice on this car. He said Brian at Dynotune is doing the tuning so he may know more about it. http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/GTO%20Show%202013/IMG_3987_zpsf784839e.jpg http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/GTO%20Show%202013/IMG_3983_zps369f2786.jpg http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/GTO%20Show%202013/IMG_3979_zpsc705cc78.jpg http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/GTO%20Show%202013/IMG_3981_zpsd5eefe58.jpg http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/GTO%20Show%202013/IMG_3980_zps3bfebd35.jpg
  20. Here are some photos from the show. There were about 50 cars total. They definitely need to advertise more or start sooner. There were a lot of nice cars that came after 12 because they didn't know till last minute. Some stayed but some were pissed and left. Couple rows of cars mostly older Gto's http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/GTO%20Show%202013/IMG_3969_zps41655f89.jpg http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/GTO%20Show%202013/IMG_3947_zpsdfb8dd46.jpg There were about 10 of us firebird folks. http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/GTO%20Show%202013/IMG_3948_zps05bf8035.jpg I almost wanted to go watch Two Lane Blacktop again after seeing this car.http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/GTO%20Show%202013/IMG_3949_zpsbc936afa.jpg A few more http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/GTO%20Show%202013/IMG_3970_zpsa9b08c5f.jpghttp://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/GTO%20Show%202013/IMG_3958_zpsd1045db8.jpghttp://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/GTO%20Show%202013/IMG_3952_zps6d2f5e0f.jpghttp://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/GTO%20Show%202013/IMG_3957_zps5ec0d922.jpg When was the last time you saw 1/2 a 389? This car was cool.http://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/GTO%20Show%202013/IMG_3954_zpsfcc99f15.jpghttp://i378.photobucket.com/albums/oo225/ceharrisnanny/GTO%20Show%202013/IMG_3955_zps8d030be7.jpg
  21. Just got here. Only about 30 cars but registration goes till noon. Mostly older gto but a few firebirds gp, etc
  22. http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/3886198958.html Have any of you Pontiac folks been to this. It looks like a long day but might be fun. It's an all Pontiac car show at Haydocy Automotive 3895 West Broad St this Sunday 6/23.
  23. Nerp. Very nice van but the sales guys didn't want to move much on the price. I love when two big guys play crowd around the short white guy and try to bully him into paying too much.
