  1. Hmmmmm any chances that trans would fit my 99 astro van??? My trans is gonna go eventually throwing the slipping codes. I've changed the valve body and done the rebuild kit but it's still slipping mostly after it warms up and going into overdrive.
  2. Hey Bob, my names Jon. I'm a licensed electrician and i can probably get this taken care of for you this week. I'll pm you for some details.
  3. There's some good info on this on corral.net.
  4. Phantom technical services on broad street around mt carmel east could do this pretty easily..... used to work for them doing the electrical installs. They do tons of plc/hmi work. http://Www.phantomtechnical.com
  5. Hmmm ive read alot about this kind of issue also.... i recently switched to e85 in my lightning. Now at first i switched my filter to a ford taurus flex fuel filter...... it worked but installing/removing it was a pain in the ass. After doing some part # checking the regular taurus and the flex taurus have the same part#s. I recently removed the filter and cut it open to check it out and it was fine..... and looked like any other filter with the paper inside. Also switched to a lincoln navigator filter this time..... its bigger and what alot of guys run in these trucks(biggers better right?) Now my truck isnt a daily driver really but it may see 10k miles a year if lucky and i think im just going to change the fuel filter around every 3k or every oil change just to be safe.
  6. Smokes need to be in every bedroom, normally 1 in the hallway, 1 in the living room, 1 in the basement if unfinished...... And yes if you pull any permits to do reframing and end up having to move electrical then it is possible you may fall victim to upgrading certain things..... most of the time its just the hardwired smokes. What county are u in? Columbus and licking can be major pains with electrical inspectors. If your having a contractor do this depending on how strict they are..... and if you have a good electrician to move the electrical you can probably get by without having to pull an electrical permit.
  7. I had my longtubes for my lightning done at aesthetic finishers. They turned out good inside and out and yea close looking to chrome.... although after a while it does fade out a bit but still looks good. Also being local was nice... had em done in a few days. I might be able to post some pics.....http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/02/06/hu9u3any.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/02/06/zypa4yra.jpg

  13. Theres a place in Hilliard called Tubular Techniques, 3025 Scioto Darby Executive CT. I purchased some 3" SS piping from them and they also did some mandrel bends for me at there shop, there pricing is awesome. I was pricing everything out from jegs and jegs was at least double with everything. I'm not totally sure if they can do 4" but they are probably a good bet. 6145294130 is there number.
  14. Yea i was there also, 2 runs in 4 hours and one hell of a sun burn..... was still fun though being my first time. Going to the meet friday hoping for more than 2 runs? :lolguy:

  17. Looking to get out Hey everyone, first post and all well went to NTR today was my first time to running at the track, place was freakin packed got sunburnt as hell but had fun. Heres my truck: http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn151/SLOVert_photos/1334244068161.jpg 2000 ford lightning, has most of the basic bolt ons figured it would be a mid to low 12 second truck...... as comparing the mods i have done to others that i have seen slips/times for but it wasn't.... at least not today lol. 13.1 @ 103 was my best run..... only got 2 runs in the whole 5 hours i was there So i'm gonna sign up for the track outing this friday and hope to get some things figured out. Previous car/Car that has turned into a huge project...... http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn151/SLOVert_photos/Jul22_011.jpg 1990 Mustang GT had steeda cam, AFR 165's, Roller rockers, all the other bolt ons you could imagine then.... added a 150 shot of nitrous and about 20 bottles later it went Kaboom...... had 190k on the motor so i knew it was going to happen now its turned into a long term project filling engine bay holes needs new paint and hopefully a fordstrokers 363 someday? Well hope to meet up with some of ya'll soon at the track outing, and hopefully this is a decent first post? Thanks Jon
