  1. That's awesome. Should of said something before filming. I would have sent you a Bama football t shirt to wear
  2. Swapped water pumps today before work. Pulled the old one out and the impeller was in two pieces. Found the source of my problem with the cooling issue. Hoping to have it done this weekend when I have three days of no teaching
  3. I have four brand new coil packs. I ordered the wrong ones for my car. These fit a Jetta and golf but please check your part numbers. Bolt down style. $80 for all four.
  4. Did not check lifters. I ordered the ultimate kit from ECS so whatever is in that kit is what I am changing.
  5. UPS man came today. My H&r race springs showed up ( dumped the coilovers to free up cash ) and my timing belt kit http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee254/ca18det007/Mobile%20Uploads/68779CF9-5330-4BB9-B3BF-2B90DF85BBF9_zps13ymr2kx.jpg My little girl Pippa helping me unpack http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee254/ca18det007/Mobile%20Uploads/1B46A194-5F87-4E23-A5CE-ED792CCBC518_zpsrbqlvb0o.jpg
  6. I have a thing for wrinkle black in an engine bay. I have done it to any car I have built. Here is my turbo NA Miata I did. ( found this in my photobucket today) http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee254/ca18det007/engine.jpg
  7. Not much progress other then new valve cover gaskets in place. Everything getting cleaned up and wrinkle black intake manifold and valve cover in place. http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee254/ca18det007/Mobile%20Uploads/B3B726EE-81AF-457A-82B8-0A8245CBB8C9_zpsfuslywym.jpg
  8. XJS is probably the worst body style ever created by jaguar. They are so hideous.
  9. I'm going to be keeping this for awhile now after all the Service I'm doing to it. It doesn't make financial sense to sell it right away. I have wanted project car for awhile to tinker with and mod but I didn't expect this to be it. Plan is get it running then I have a giac ecu on the line to put in. I figured since everything was apart a front mount would be easy to install now. I'll go ko4 or gtrs later down the road.
  10. We used fast pass on space mountain , small world, some mermaid ride that the kidlet wanted to go on. You only get three of them. That leaves a lot of rides left waiting in line.
  11. To late doing the work myself. I was being s whiny bitch but I manned up to take care of it. On the flip side I spent all day in the garage away from the wife and kids. Had I known that was a benefit I would have done it sooner.
  12. Welp got everything I could get done, done. Now waiting for parts to arrive. Since the front end is off now would be s perfect time for a front mount intercooler. Should I get one or over kill for stock turbo and giac stage 1 tune? Should I get silicone intercooler hoses to replace my old factory ones if I stay with the side mount?
  13. We were just there the week of April 20-25. We have a 5 year old and a 9 month old. Honestly it was a waste of time. The characters don't walk around anymore. Long ass lines to meet Mickey. The rides were so so. It's super crowded. We also drove down( we have a house in Clearwater though so we just drove to Disney). For the three of us to get into the park and eat and buying toys for the girls we spent like $750 for the day. We won't be going back anytime soon. One oft clients is a great travel agent. He can get great deals
  14. So water pump was shot. It wasn't the original though neither was the timing belt but regardless they are out and new stuff going on. Got valve cover off. Does this look sludgy? http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee254/ca18det007/Mobile%20Uploads/71956D3C-50DC-4352-BD88-A70F8C586063_zpsfuyqtbvv.jpg Also got the valve cover cleaned and sprayed in wrinkle black. Here it is after shooting it. http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee254/ca18det007/Mobile%20Uploads/1C4721C0-0AA9-4D54-8889-588BC7578991_zpst0fgs84a.jpg Now I have to wait til ECS tuning sends me the timing belt kit which includes everything I need to get this bitch back together.
  15. Well it was time to man up and just work on it. I have 1800 Sqft of laminate floor in my garage rendering useless so I have to stack it in back so I could get my car in. Got it in and start on it. I'm pretty sure the water pump went out. The car was circulating coolant after fixing the flange and hose. So just going to do a timing belt and water pump job. Also put my inlet pipe and diverted valve in while in had the front of the car off. Starting http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee254/ca18det007/Mobile%20Uploads/205E2E2E-C4DC-4CA3-A898-CD8DD4CCBE92_zpsiz2yqjqe.jpg Front carrier and radiator out http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee254/ca18det007/Mobile%20Uploads/21EA59A2-C4AA-4D45-871B-B9CDF605A0A1_zpsp0rjn7ax.jpg New smooth silicone inlet pipe http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee254/ca18det007/Mobile%20Uploads/E3BFE9E0-2AEF-451F-B765-2E63452DF708_zpsu8ftxs3t.jpg Finally upper timing belt cover off http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee254/ca18det007/Mobile%20Uploads/AF4F9D7E-E04F-4CFF-B412-7C179D246612_zpsxfiadhjh.jpg That's all I get to today as I need a breaker bar, 5&6 mm hex sockets as well as a 12 point 19mm socket. Plan is to do timing belt, water pump, valve cover gasket( clean valve cover as well as wrinkle black the cover and intake manifold). Then get it all back together and hopefully it will be a good running car.
  16. Before I were it off I will literally write it off as "office supplies"'since its under my LLC
  17. Listen I know this thing turned out to be a flop. I'm just not ready to dump it for $700. Hell I would rather vinyl wrap the whole thing with my business details and logo and let it sit in the back of my parking lot on Schrock and use it as a mobile billboard lol. It's going itno my garage until I feel like wrenching again. I'm almost positive the water pump went out and isn't circulating the coolant. It's a rust and dent free car with extremely clean interior in my favorite body style. Worst case I find a good long block and swap it in. This is the first car I have ever lost money on
  18. I actually really really want an mk1 Audi TT 225 nimbus grey with baseball glove interior. Like badly
  19. Oh I'll sell it alright and I'm expecting a loss, I'm just not going to sell it for $700. I'd rather continue fixing it or let it sit in the garage til I feel motivated. I DONT have to sell. I'm not hard up so I can afford to let it sit.
  20. $700 for the car and the following additions. $400 wheels and tires( have to purchase as I threw stock ones in trash) $300 brakes( they are needed) $400( finder fee and replacing all the crap I have done). So $1800 and you can have it. Price is not negotiable
  21. I've owned a couple M3's and DD a 335i and never had problems with any of them. This Audi is beyond stupid and the way they are constructed compared to other cars is fucking dumb.
  22. Who is the best place to have work on an Audi in the Westerville, worthington gahanna parts of Columbus( will go somewhere farther if need be )? I'm done working on this piece of shit. I need it running so I can sell it. Fuck Audi. Never again. This was a total flop I admit it but need to cut my loses now before they ramp up even more.
  23. Highly doubt that^ I can't wait for the Michigan Powerhouse to come alive and beat up the Big Ten. -futurelifelongmichiganfan
  24. I miss my 96TT. Cool project OP
  25. The wife's car is always financed and always a new car with full warranty. We keep it in a certain budget. My car are always paid in cash and are toys. I try to keep initial purchase price sub 5k and leave myself an ROI for when I want something else. I also tend to try and find used parts for them so my money goes farther when it comes to modding, plus used parts I can sell for the same if not more when it comes time.
