  1. Going back to this. I still fail to see how this isn't true. here's what I have been told. If you are making an annual income of... 1x your age you are behind 2x your age you are slightly ahead of average 3x your age you are doing well 4x your age you are "well off" ...for where you are (stage) in life regarding age regardless of number but let's use age 50 then this chart is accurate. At 30 it's also accurate. I think after retirement age it doesn't really matter anymore as at that point you should have a set financial plan to live out your days.
  2. I've been in business for two years here in Columbus. Our old location sucked and nobody knew where we were. This isn't a new venture. It's super easy to start a business here in Ohio. My studios in Florida were MUCH harder to start and required state approval and bonding by the state. Infact the state of Florida has a ballroom dance studio act that all studios must be compliant with.
  3. My ballroom dance studio in 1.5 miles away from Fred Astaire Westerville, 4 miles from Fred Astaire upper Arlington and 3 miles from Arthur Murray. These three studios are apart of huge corporations that put thousands of dollars in advertising and hiring. Each corp does over a Billion dollars a year. Now my little mom and pop studio that has been opened for 7 weeks in our new location has taken over 50% of their clientele. Our revenue has more then double past two months. Our product (knowledge ) that we have is far superior to what they offer. Any small business needs to know their market, what the people want and deliver what is expected or exceed expectations there is always going to be a bigger name out there. As long as the business doesn't try to compete or be that bigger business and sticks with what they do best there is nothing to worry about.
  4. I feel like I just read an editorial on MSNBC :-/ I'm on my iPhone right now but when I get to my laptop I will respond. I also need to shake the stupid in my head from your post out. Evil capitalism Communism Regulation Deregulation Lobbying Unions Random fuck tard story that doesn't even correlate with today's times Everything one might expect to hear at a democratic national convention Keep drinking that kool aid
  5. Greg I want a asrious answer. I may troll some threads but this is a serious topic. Edit: before you respond please preface your post with political party affiliation and income bracket.
  6. Since when is it a bad thing to be successful? People screaming wage inequality and demonizing success and the rich piss me the fuck off.
  7. Why can't the widget maker produce extra income on the side? Perhaps it's something in his field, perhaps it's through investing, maybe real estate? There is always a possibility to earn more.
  8. I'm a skilled trade I guess you could say. I have a flat rate that doesn't ever vary. Rather then worry how I can teach more I opened a studio and have staff members teaching for me. I also book more events. Have a skilled trade? Open your own business and have people work for you. Only way to keep increasing your pay. Otherwise enjoy working for someone and be content with your salary.
  9. I saw them in Facebook as well. They are tempting
  10. There is a lot of money in that area no doubt. That area also has a bunch of people who are house poor.
  11. That area is just dead. The shopping center is dead. Infact I tried to lease the old tanning salon in that shopping center across from Bel Lago but they would rather it sit empty then lease it as they are trying to sell it. The only people who visit that area are residents within a 1 mile vicinity. The Bel Lago building is outstanding but something really special has to go in with good food to be successful. I completely agree with you LJ on a day/night menu.
  12. Is Smith and wollensky any good?
  13. I like that thought process ^
  14. Perhaps you could trade it in on an accord? I hear they make good daily drivers.

  16. If I remember correctly diamonds also really liked Bel Lago and that place was awful so not sure his opinion means much :gabe:
  17. If any of you like prime rib my favorite spot is Rosa's and Rocco's in New Albany on Sunday morning for brunch. They have killer prime rib and horseradish sauce and au jus. Plus you can eat as much as you want. The rest of their spread is amazing as well and it's only $20 Per person. The family and I are there pretty much every Sunday before or after church. Oh and they make made to order Belgian waffles that are to die for.
  18. I've only eaten at Mitchell's once downtown and I wasn't impressed at all. J Gilbert's was ok when I ate there. Prime rib needed more seasoning.

  20. Its about a 10 inch chocolate shopping bag. You need a knife to cut it. It's filled with white chocolate mousse fresh whip cream and topped with strawberries and black berries. Then whole plate is drizzled with raspberry sauce. It's big filling and amazing. I'm a huge eater and my wife and I can't finish it.
  21. Texas de Brazil then other side of Easton to mccormicks for a chocolate bag. Seriously do it
  22. We had melting pot last night. I hate the place the lady loves it. Like others said its a joke and Hir clothes end up smelling like fried meat. The dessert is the shit though. Speaking of dessert McCormick and Schmidts chocolate bag is outstanding. Good oysters as well. Rodizio is terrible. I've eaten there twice and was highly disappointed. Texas De Brzail is much better.
  23. This place is awesome. After receiving this recommendation here I took the wife their for our anniversary and we loved it. G Michaels also comped our dessert because it was our anniversary. Honestly there is so many awesome restaurants in Columbus you would be better off listing type of food and budget to give everyone a clue as to what you want. Last thing you want is take your girl out expecting to spend less then $100 and get awkward looking at prices on the menu.
  24. Technically it's not really fucking, more like petting. Do you not have dogs in your house as well?
