I don't think those can, I'm already top end here in town LOL I flipped a FJ80 Landcruiser early January. Then I bought my Land Rover with that profit. I sold the Land Rover and picked up this Audi. I'm still up a few thousand dollars since the original LC purchase.

New parts won be here til tomorrow but went out and got the heater hose out and coolant flange on the back of the head. It was actually quite simple.

Well the high dollar items weren't NEEDED to make it an everyday driver. They are mods I wanted and would have done to any car and not to get it into running condition.

So when I type it out it's really not all that bad. If you forget the rims and tires, suspension, turbo inlet pipe and diverter valve, it really has been low cost. So things I have had to replace so far Brake pads and rotors, rear Coolant flange CTS Heater hose supply line Maf Spark plugs Coil packs Air filter Turbo inlet pipe DV Valve cover gasket Coolant flush and fill Passenger front and rear window regulators and motor Avus 17" wheels and 225/45/17 extreme contact tires RS style grill Lower door mouldings passenger front and rear doors.

She bought a new car. This car came with every registration and service record since she had it. It also had a full inspection before I purchased it. It's not like it was some junk car sitting next to a barn. So I ordered a new coolant flange and all o rings, heater core supply lines and new bolts and gaskets. Should be here tomorrow. Hopefully have it swapped out and can start driving it Thursday.

Yeah $700 is out. Just te tires and wheels were $450 on top of the $700. Plus $364 for brakes and a coolant flush that is now obsolete and then you have coil packs, hoses, turbo inlet pipe, etc etc. I know I could resell the suspension so not worried. Oh let's by forget window regulators and motors LOL. i will sell it but it will be on CL to someone for $3000ish after I sort it and can make a small profit. Hell I would part it out before I sold it for $700

My goal right now is to get it sorted and be able to drive it to work. Unfortunately I purchase a ton of parts for it the day I bought it so I have them If it gets to be anything more then the hose and redo the coolant flush and fill I might just give up. I'm sick and tired of working on this thing and hate having to share the wife's car :(

You are right. Car sat basically not driven for two years. I knew this going in. Just frustrating when I fix one thing another pops up. Just thankful for most of the stuff I can do it myself. I'm hoping this rad cap is the last of the issues for awhile.

I'm beginning to hate audi's. Today was the first day I actually got to drive the car. Last week I had new brakes put on it. Over the weekend I changed plugs and window regulators( which btw is the biggest pain in the ass ever. Who rivets regulators to the frame?!?). Took my new tires and Avus wheels to get mounted and put on the car. Car starts running really hot. Take it to Goodyear because they just did a coolant flush and fill and my reservoir cap is bad. Oh joy off to the parts store again. Hopefully this fixing that issue and I can just drive this bitch. It's funny my Land Rover was dead reliable from day 1. This Audi I haven't even logged 10 miles yet. It's crazy because the engine and tranny feel really strong and feels good when I have driven it. Stupid little shit is making me crazy.

Disconnected the Maf and the car runs perfect. It's either dirty or bad. Just going to order a new one.

I'm getting an odd problem where the gas pedal is all the way down and the motor isn't revving. Does this for about 15 secs then it catches up and revs freely. It's misfiring a bit as well. I put in new plugs but ordered the wrong coil packs. Going to be swapping out the coolant temp sensor today as well and I was getting a CTS code. I'm getting code 16505 TPS reading high. Also getting an over boost code?

Anyone an Audi mechanic of know slot about this 1.8 motor?
