  1. Have a built one sitting in my garage :masturboy:
  2. Good to know. Thanks man. V160 or W58?
  3. Any reason not to trust them with getting a Flywheel turned? The one off of 161 is right near my work and said $45 to do the .020" step I need, and it is super convenient on top of that. Any horror stories anyone has of them doing theirs? No clue if they have a machine that is mostly automated or what. Just don't want them to botch this and me be out $300.
  4. wait until Cordell chimes in before you go testing 20 different things. He will likely have a damn good idea what is next.
  5. Came to mainly say this No, no, no and no. You do realize you are going to be in the same situation as whatever POS Maxima you had before this car, but still owe money on it then, right? http://www.hercampus.com/sites/default/files/2014/05/08/Jenna-Marbles-I-Can +rep No, no, no and no. Stop right there. You need to buy something like this and stop trying to fulfill your ricer fantasy's. http://images.nadaguides.com/j/774.jpg And before you get any quick and nifty ideas, keep this puppy stock. It will only be a SOHC so... http://i.imgur.com/7oaedVh.png You still don't get that you have 2 kids and your wife will be the bread winner with student loans. Pay those off first, THEN get a better place to live that doesnt have whatever issues you post up about on here, THEN get a better STi or whatever vehicle you have fap'd to for the past few years and keep a cheap daily around. I thought we had made good progress with you buster....:fuuuu:
  6. Came to post about a vacuum leak. I've seen Dyno Brian run into this twice while I've been at his shop visiting.
  7. Sent my compressor housing out to powdercoat. http://i.imgur.com/rDC3DwS.jpg Also got my .84 twin scroll turbine housing. Needing to get it ceramic coated then will post pics. Hopefully my Megasquirt will be here soon. Ordered it and was told it could be a month. Who knows at this point. Planning to do concentric stuff with my wiring to the firewall and use a mil-spec plug then start tucking wires. Hoping this weekend is warm enough to get the turbo hung and the feed/drain lines made up.
  8. Will do it if you have a beer I can shotgun before hand.....JK. If I had a truck I'd be all over this. Maybe if I can locate one before they are gone.
  9. Have you tried any Facebook Supra groups?
  10. What fuel? Staying on 93 or switching to E85? Cam would be on my list.
  11. +1 for Northend Wrench. Sean is an awesome tech and a real stand up guy. He knows his stuff and is very well-versed in these here Euro makins.
  12. You can get an engine hoist on the cheap or even pay someone on here to use theirs, use it to drop the motor in and bolt it up. Hell, you can do this in the street, then jack the front up and jack the trans up and bolt it up. No special tools are really needed. Just a basic wrench and socket set for the most part. Harbor freight is your friend for these tools. Lifetime warranty and when I supplied my own tools as a tech half the tools I sued were HF and I never had an issue with any of them. It may seem super intimidating but so much info on the internet makes this stuff easy anymore. Loads of people have pretty much written a How To LSx and you can get it all for free.. If you're serious about all this start here, read, read, and read until you can read no more. Let it sink in then read it again. A lot of this stuff is about boosting LSx engines, but it still lays everything out (for the most part) you'll need and give you an idea of what exactly is involved. Stock PCM vs Microsquirt, TH350/400 vs 4Lx0E. The site layout is sub-par at best, but for free info this is as good as it gets. https://sites.google.com/site/sloppywiki/
  13. I literally lotion myself down after I get done showering at night. It sounds so gay but I found I don't shock myself as much and actually feel a lot better in winter mode. Work with my hands all day and just wear latex gloves and that helps them from getting dried out and nasty and eliminates the need to wash them deeply to get the grease out.
  14. 5.3/4L60E I'm sure painless or someone makes a pretty much PnP unit for these. it seems like the best bang for the buck and efficient route.
  15. Cents, you don't make it. Car dealership is filled with assholes, you hope the people trolling them lose their jobs? That is the only thing I can derive from your post.
  16. Never EVER EVER part it out. Take it into Carmax and wash your hands clean of it worry free.
  17. Yes all season. What rock have you been under?
  18. This has been what I've been saying to friends most all day. It'll be a good game. Possibly one of the best "big" games of modern day college football, especially given what this game is.
  19. FYI guys you can find these at AutoZone and Advance.
  20. These things make life easy for doing stuff like that. Love em.
  21. My favorites have all been posted except https://www.youtube.com/user/FRANKIEonPCin1080p
  22. Bump before I go get a new one tomorrow.
  23. I still think they feel like a boat. Revised and better, yes. Handles like an M3 sedan? Hell no...
  24. M3 If you go Lexus a GS350 is poverty, and an LS430/460 is not sporty at all. Anything Lexus is a Lexobarge.
