That's cool you paid a shop to do everything for you.. When I was growing up my ol man taught me the basics.. When you work on something you have a passion for you build a respect for it that no $ can buy. So Kirk my man. How about you take a wack at it? You say any dumbass can do it so give it a shot? You Obvisly don't have an idea how much work goes into h/c on a c6. Do your own research,pick a cam, choose your heads, find out how Far to mill them without worrying about ptc. Useally silver spooners don't so I understand. I had the h/c for a year and then I went twin turbo. The car ran really strong and impressed a few people.. Not many people belived it was only making the power it made. Little do guys like you know.. Not all parts are created equal. Shit happens. You can have xxx amount of cash in your engine w/e and if there's a manufacture defect it'll happen. Like my main shaft twisting with only 470rwhp. Rpm understood it and they upgraded me for free! So you spent 10k in h/c/I and clutch. Does that include selling your stock stuff?

Find a corvette buy it.. All the water has to do is break the door sill for it to be flood lost.. I would still drop the oil pan to make sure the bottom end is good

Things break or I upgraded parts? I didn't just go balls deep. I started of with simple shit like ls7 manifolds and k&n intake, car put down 365rwhp. I suffered my first lost by a 408 camaro and then went h/c an gears with all supporting mods made 470rwhp. Swapped the ls7 clutch that I had for the monster stage 3 about 22lbs lighter and a real cai vararam. Fucked a lot of shit up with that and soon TT.. Now bigger goals and 402 build, if funds are right I'll build my custom TT kit I have drawn up and upgrade to twin 66's. That's my timeline in a nut shell so this I threw random parts on it doesn't cut it. Its called progress! You should try it and maybe someday you'll be like Alex. I want dudes fab and welding skills for sure!

Geesammy to get to the clutch takes more work than you think. Trans are in the back of the c5 and c6 corvettes.. Rip the interior apart,take shifter out, complete exhaust, tunnel plate,rear end while having trans/diff supported, then you can get to the diff,trans,torque tube, bell housing is next and a huge pita. Sounds easy? Try it. I left a lot if little shit out but thats the jest of it in that order. I did the shit on jack stands each time. It's pretty much common sense anyone can do. I loctite everything on re install and torqued everything to factory specs on install. You really think h/c is easy to do on a c6? It's not like your supra. There's a steering rack and power steering bracket that's a pita or you can just drop the front cradle like me while supporting the engine so you can get the balancer off. Rest of it isn't that bad. Finding tdc,Timing,Checking PVC because I had the heads milled,torques,torque sequences is fairly easy. It's a bitch with the engine still in.. Explains why 90% shops out there charge 12-1500$ just for a cam install on a c6. I made some fairly rookie mistakes mind you.. But I Learned from them. Now I done this a few times I can do it without looking at anything. I even have the torques all remembered. How you about to start talking out of your ass? I also done an engine/clutch swap on that supra like yours and it worked well until my dumbass brother left the battery cables on backwards over night. And no there's isn't a complete guide of clutch or h/c swap for a c6 yet. I still figured it out by using multiple different guides and putting them together. Most corvette owners never even changed there own plugs. My record time for a complete drivetrain drop and re-install is 13hrs and cam swap about 10hrs and yes without power tolls on jack stands. I have pictures of all my work and even videos of some shit on my build thread on ls1tech. You say any monkey can do this and that? Let's hear some stuff you done.. And you better have pictures

Slaves was going out because the ticks master cycld wasn't adjusted right.. THE only time I let a shop install a part and they fucked it up.. Other than that the only other parts to break was the main shaft and which there's no way to prevent that. So yea I will continue to do my DYI project..Run 12's on snow tires during the summer.. Besides the car is down still

C6z clutch and then the monster clutch. To do a clutch swap you have to drop the entire drivetrain. When are we racing?? Really there's snow on the ground pal

I have a truck for the winter?.. Surprisingly the continental dw tires handle well and also do well during the rain. More than a few hundred..305/12.5/18 M/t are 374$ ea just tire..little over 800$ to sling but well worth it! WhY do you bitch I'm building at vette? Saying I can't do this or that when you have no idea what I can or can't afford? Jealous much? Or is it because I do all my own work therefore I'm a broke bitch because I don't shell out 10+k for a shop to do it for me? I am curious how much labor would of been if I never turned a wrench on this car. Dropped the drivetrain about 8 times alone..

I didn't get the chance or was willing to go in 5th gear after I installed TT. I really haven't felt the need to push into 5th. I want to build the car for a standing mile. I'll need the zr1 geared trans for that. I have winter tires on my 19in rim that I use to dd the car with. I have a spare set of 18in rims with the nitto 555r on. I'm not sure why you haven't caught on I have 2 sets of rear rim/tire combos. The nitto's are hosed.. I'm going to need a new tire regardless. Anyways once boost by gear gets dialed in I think I'll be good for digs n shit.

Also have that supra still. Same style as yours.. Don't hate.. To each his own. I built the car how I wanted it. Some say it's rice.. More say it's sweet. People come up to me all the time at gas stations asking what model it is because they never seen one like it. I care less if people hate. You can't please everyone. I don't care much for racing it but my brother attends to talk me into it.. I'm a man of my word. If I told you I would run you then it's still going down.

I tried getting my money back Wagner.. Them Mexico classes are cheap and dirty! In truth I'm the most sarcastic guy you can meet.. If you taken anything said serious then I feel sorry for yal. This is the Internet gents where pigs can fly and brz's can do 10second 1/4 stock.. If you take it personal then I feel sorry for you. Very little of the facts I presented was based on actual facts and the rest of it was shit I pulled out of my ass! Very few fell for it so I ran with it till the end! Don't hate.. It happens! But I'm still down for some racing. Just in a more legit way like a standing mile. An truth be told I do plan on going to the track this summer! The real reason I went twin turbo is because I like the sound. I'm actually quite scared of the car still.. Never been out of 4th gear and I haven't tried brake boosting yet because traction limited. I used to be crazy back when I was h/c now it's not worth it to me to race anyone anytime. I'm really growing out of the "need for speed" saga and just building the car to be reliable. Most the most part it was my brother talking mad shit.. He always like to for some reason. I could care less what he bitchs about and I find it quite funny.. I not doing a 402 because I wanted to.. More like I had to! Where does it look like and can you prove it wasn't in Mexico? You see there's No signs = no location.. I was driving at normal speeds but changed out a sound clip of when I was at the dragstrip.. Other cars on that highway sllowed Down almost to a dead stop so I figure I'll speed up my cars movement by x10 to make it look like it was accelerating. You'll be amazed how one could altar a video to make it seem real.. Change sound clips,video speeds, and even movement alteration. You can even add signs in videos via photo shop to make it seem like a different location. Little can you tell but I altared one of the videos so well you couldn't even tell a sign was removed. Your innocent until proven guilty. Computer generated can be a mother to prove your wrong and if you have an outstanding lawyer that knows this then your fine. I would counter sue for harassment, embarrassment, pain and suffering.

Street racing is illegal. I'll never go above the speed limit. All of my videos are shoot in mexico.. The signs,plates,drivers face and edited for personal reasons. Talking about street racing is highly prohibited. I get it I'll be more tactful how I post and will never post videos of me racing. Even on te strip it'll be illegal because I won't Meet Nhra safety standards.. For now on.. I will not post anything that deals with illegal events.

I brought in the entire family instead of mommy and daddy this time there's uncle to With his trailer queen doing the call out.. Aunt Judy with her race car. Didn't knew a autozone vette would be such an hassle since I only run 12's. My car was built around h/c.. Now that I added the neons it'll need a wider tire. 305/45/18 aren't holding at all. Idk Im getting a voltage regulator fuse to control the vaccine leak and some new springs so I should be like 2-3psi in first, 4-5 2nd 10-12 3rd and hmm 4th idk yet. Don't be intemendated.. I still have Ac/all accessories/full stock interior. I haven't ventured into that side of autozone and I'm pretty sure I won't ever do that. Now now gents you have to get in line. After all juiceh22 is the first one I will be running in his nitrous 416 c5z. I think that's going to be a good run. Geesammy is 2nd on his 600 .. Alex will be 3rd his first pick was a cressida.. But now Wants to run the supra idk his pick, feel free to add to list you must meet just a few criteria's 1. Street car(race fuel makes this invalid because it's something you can't find across the street from autozone) 2. Plated 3. Street tires (slicks does not count) 4. Must drive it on the streets (sorry trailer queens) now that I stir up the hornet nest the site should be a little more interesting. Now where's my 4wheel 4cyld complete street trim including all accessories, on pump gas you can get from your local Myers? Does one exist in this state?

I offered to run ol dudes 600 due to him talking mad shit and here comes mommy and daddy to the rescue. Wanna run a beater?? Wanna run eagle summit? If a 4cldy import to beat me then it'll have to be on either e85 or c16, gutted,slicks, more than likely it's a trailer queen or shop car. My car should be weighing under or close to 3k lbs with maybe 850-950 rwhp geared for a short sprint. Traction is limited and Nick before you talk have you ever been behind a wheel of a 470rwhp m6 car on winter tires trying to make a 1/4 pass for the first few times? If you don't know then why act like its a cake walk? Go re read My pass few posts about how much seat time did change things up.
