  1. No way. WAY too much rotating mass for 9000rpm. Those fans probably weigh 20lbs with the clutch. Just need to turn the electric fans on lower and get some water in the system rather than antifreeze.
  2. Finally got the car out to the track and made 2 passes. First pass it bogged pretty hard: Second pass we raised the 2 step limiter 500 RPM and got it to bog less: I quit after that pass because the car was pushing water pretty hard into the overflow. I think its finally time to dump the antifreeze out and get water/water wetter in with a new cap and set the fans down a bit lower/maybe upgrade fans. Either way I was happy to start dialing in the car. Hopefully with a few more tweaks, it will get out of the hole better. This has also motivated me to get the new larger fuel pump and feed this massive 88mm. I have an in-car video that I need to edit down and get uploaded. Will post it here once I have it complete and online. This is the only video of the outside I have currently. Will work on seeing if I can find more videos.... https://instagram.com/p/4VlRW1PQoL/
  3. Yes it is in that area. If you google the address it will come up. Great guys and a nice facility there. You should check them out!
  4. The video from B3R's dyno day has been released! My car is at 2:55.
  5. Thanks for the kind words JP. I can assure you my car is a far cry from the ones you mentioned in front of mine, but some seem to enjoy it. I will be happy if I can get it to run down the strip and give me a half decent number.
  6. Its been a pretty stagnant position with the car as of late. I purchased my first home at the end of May and got the keys on June 1. Ever since it has taken every dollar from me and the car play fund. That being said, I have had a little bit of time to clean the car up and get it shined up from its grill grease experience at B3R's dyno day in Brunswick. Lots of scrubbing and detailing, but I finally have all the grime off the car. I also fixed the "two step dropping out when moving the clutch pedal" issue. Turned down my 2 Step ADC in Proefi and everything is happy. Hopefully I will be able to scrape some pennies together soon and go testing again. Since I have been so house-broke for the past month, and I had a shiny car sitting around, I took the opportunity to do a photo shoot with the car. More photos to follow once they are edited and ready to go. It was a good time and I always enjoy making new friends. Here are a couple snaps I took from my phone...
  7. Torque award for domestics was given to an F350 making 500hp and 1050tq. The 79 Camaro edged him out on HP as well, however its a fully build BBC with twin turbos!
  8. I was crossing my fingers and cringing each time they brought it up into boost . Definitely a mean street car.... and a ticking time bomb! And likewise good to meet you. Hope to see you out and about sometime soon.
  9. Slicks will get torn up if you use them on a dyno. I was on a M&H drag radial. I use them all the time for the dyno. (they aren't good for much else as they are pretty old and dry). I will say Big 3 is the first dyno around this area I've had good luck getting the car to stick! Very impressed with their setup. No spinning what so ever. If I do remote tuning, they would be a very attractive option. I just tossed it in the car. It didn't have a graph or anything, just the peak numbers. 930 and 6xx tq. The original graph is on the video SP did for me at their shop. Its linked on my youtube page under the supra playlist
  10. And for the record, JP's LSJuan RX-7 beat my torque number, so not sure why I got that trophy!
  11. I've been doing a lot of show and shine/car show stuff lately as I haven't had a lot of time to dedicate to the car going down the track. I did manage to get out to a local dyno day at Big 3 Performance and won trophies for Most Torque for an import, and Most HP for an import. It only made 930, which was slightly disappointing, but there were a lot of factors against me. Car got hot, and The ethanol was only at 70% in the tank. Either way, here are some photos as well as the video of the dyno pull. I actually got a small round of applause after, which was un-expected, but we cut the recording off too quickly to get it on film. Big 3 was a lot of fun, and I hope to go again next year. Dyno Video:
  12. The dude was 15. Literally came running at me asking if he could take pics. Gotta give photo cred where its due, mane. I have found my friends need some lessons in taping as well lol. Everything is shaky and all over. Not sure who I can find to run my camera without looking like they have Parkinson's disease
  13. Street night... anything past the 1/8 was unprepped.. it's like being on ice in that car! They have a rental coming up June 6th. The prep at rentals is far superior to street night.
  14. Because the run didn't happen. the car dropped all boost when I started to slip the clutch, and it stalled 2 feet off the line. I get enough hate mail as it is lol
  15. Took the car to the track last night to get some shakedown in. Lots of different tweaks needed, but it was good to get the car out and moving down the track under its own power. The 2 Step is Fubar due to some mods I made after the car was tuned last year, but the car runs very well. To summarize the 2 step issue, I need to drop down the 2 step ADC to a lower value. The in-line Pro-efi clutch sensor only engages the 2 step limiter when you push down FIRMLY on the pedal. If I take the slightest bit of pressure off (even without engaging the clutch) the two step limiter drops off and hits the 9k rpm limiter. Obviously a simple fix, but I didn't have a laptop last night in the truck as it was kind of a last minute decision to head out. I need to get some final things wired, re-clearance some wheel wells, and get it all happy. Glad to say I got one decent burnout in, and I didn't break anything! always a plus
  16. IMO (Places I have been to In ohio) Norwalk Quaker City motorsports park (no transitions, good prep on race days) Thompson motorsports park (don't prep on anything but points races on weekends, has a vertical Transition at 330' which is not good for anything that makes power) National Trails.... lazy staff, lax standards, prep sucks even at events, etc. I hope IFO moves to Norwalk, but I don't see them paying the coin for it.
  17. Congrats on the results! Hope to see this thing sooner than later.
  18. I need to get my issues sorted before I commit to anything.
  19. Welp didn't make IFO. Car wouldn't even spin the tires on the 2 step, so that's the new quandary. https://instagram.com/p/138HUnjnXG/ In the mean time, I got it aligned so it actually has a chance of tracking straight. Always makes me smile when the car gets attention. With the car in that parking spot, no less than 10 people stopped and asked to take pictures. Obviously all male and under the age of 25 lol
  20. Photo from a fan who saw me at the gas pump! Really like the look of the alumastar drag pack in anodized black!
  21. Took the car and filled it with fuel. Unfortunately I didn't make the test date in Pittsburg due to my tow vehicle failing on me. Still trying to make it to import faceoff this weekend, but its not looking good. Time will tell.
  22. Belly pan installed. Thanks to Cody Phillips for this nice piece!
