  1. I understand this - I make too much to qualify for the personal checks. I didnt get anything last round, which didnt matter to me. This round had specific provisions for the entertainment industry. Thats why it matters to me. Ill get some PPP money for the management business and ill get some grants for the live production business. The amounts are based on up to 45% of 2019 revenue and if the grants are "free money" by all means, ill apply for it. Ive been able to float myself this year without income until I closed a few big deals this month, but overall its been awful for this industry, possibly more so than any other industry. It will allow me to rebuild, rehire, hire and retain people to help me rebuild it. Thats the intent. Not to go buy lambos and planes like ive seen some business do haha
Yep, I totally get it, and fault no one for using what's available to better their lot. Hopefully it allows a lot of businesses to ride this out and become profitable again. We've been pretty lucky to not lose much financially and have been able to work through most of the pandemic. I actually took a voluntary furlough for a bit and watched the kids, so can't complain to much.

I'm just bitter, and want some free money to help finish out my new shop, lol.

  2. I'm not sure that handing out free money again is the answer, but I suppose it has to be done to correct what they've already screwed up. I'm also not hating on anyone who takes advantage of the money, if you don't, someone else will.

I am selfishly pissed that I'll see $0 again from this stimulus yet my taxes will be paying it back.

No money last time and no money this time, screwed once again for trying to do better for yourself in the middle class.

This is merica, more money more bills. End of pointless rant.

  3. Late to the party but I finally set up a rig about a month ago to stop my friends from pestering me. Now I'm hooked. It's fun and nerve-wracking and frustrating just as advertised.
Have any pics? Sounds interesting, what is the gameplay like?

  4. Nah. Not the same at all.
I actually saw some info online about guys using pipe tobacco to smoke some bourbon. Sounds interesting

  5. I feel like you could smoke a cigar while drinking and accomplish the same thing.
Lol, I'm sure. It's completely novelty, but I'm tough to Christmas shop for lol.

  6. Old thread is also locked, so let's see 'em.

I'm working on dressing up the attached garage in anticipation of moving some clutter to the new shop. Part of that was to move my elevated fridge over and extend the platform to the wall so I can install the new subpanel on that part of the wall.

I need suggestions/ideas on a railing. Think industrial race/detail shop. I'll be tearing the existing railing out and capping everything to blend new and old.

  7. The thread from January is locked for some reason, so who was able to complete their goals this strange year?

I didn't get any of mine completed, but did get a good start, mostly held up by this never ending shop build. Hopefully I'll spend 2021 dressing out the new shop and existing garage, and catch up on my automotive goals.

  8. Have you tried angels envy rye..great tasting..even my neighbor's wife who isn't a bourbon drinker enjoyed it
The rum cask finish is by far my favorite bourbon/rye. I keep several bottles because they only release it twice a year.

  9. I'm sure it won't be the raw race car we'd like to see, but I'm in support of anything v8 and manual.

I'm sure they'll be $90k, but timing should be right to pay the Callaway off and pick one up a year or so old for $60-70k! Lol.

Always tough to choose between retail refinement and built quirkiness.
