  1. Nice. That's a good haul.

I haven't had the Saz but I've heard mixed reviews with more "meh" from the folks I tend to align with. Others seem to love it and hunt it so it may be really good.

I would snag a bottle if I could find some just to try it.

It's available fairly cheap online just have to watch some sites shipping cost.

I'm looking for a bottle or two of Weller 12 now.

  2. Trade ya a bottle of sampled Balvenie for the Blanton's, OWA, SR, ER, and BT.

Where'd ya get that haul? I need to replenish.

Bexley liquor let me buy two bottles of each Weller. kroger on high St I just got lucky and was having a nice conversation with the attendant when she whispered to me that a truck just pulled in with 6 bottles of Blantons. I waited 15 min.

  3. Nothing exciting today, but I was able to stock up on all of the stuff everyone likes to drink when they come over.

Has anyone had any good seasonals or some different releases lately?7e486f4a8be8910b88f9b31fe4a6e389.jpg

  4. I do really like Jeeps for what they are, I was thinking to suggest the Glaidator to my parents for a new/tow vehicle. But since I'm buying the car, I get to get what I want in my budget. :)

Wranglers don't have the towing capacity I'm looking. Glaidators are too new to have the deprecation I look for, regardless of that they are outside of my price range, and they are bigger than the vehicles I'm looking at. I normally chose to drive something the size of a 2 door Civic or my S2000 if I have the choice. The vehicle I'm looking at will be huge compared to what I normally like and drive. I've decided I'm specifically not looking for a full sized truck in size or capability.

My general feeling after renting a Rubicon in Moab was that it would make most trails boring/easy until you got to the point of needing to wench yourself over and around stuff and I'm honestly not all about that.

Disagree, I enjoy a good wench.

  5. I think I paid 200 or 250 for my optima vette battery several years ago so those numbers don't look out of line
Yep, the battery for my G8 was the same. The original was made in italy, I could only imagine what that would cost for exact replacement.

I believe it is partially due to today's batteries being mounted around the cabin/trunk and requiring different venting.

  6. Something the OB said on Thursday got me approval to be in there. The staff we discussed the situation with seemed surprised that they wouldn’t let me in initially.

Either way, I’m stoked to have our first boy. Three girls worth of hatchimals that can be purged sooner.

    Awesome to hear. Congrats man.

  7. We’ll see. I think the ADA option is more feasible with the time we have left. With her service connected rating it shouldn’t be an issue either. Both ideas are excellent though. Thank you!
What'd you find out?? Hopefully you are in the delivery room today!

  8. We’ve been back and fourth with Westar and the hospital about this a few times today. The only give we’ve had is them willing to reschedule the cesarean to a later date. How that helps me be in the room for birth is beyond me.
Good luck, hope this works out for you. I'd be tempted to ask the ob about a different hospital, but I'm sure that would delay. Birth of your child is kind of a big deal.

  9. Gotta pull them troops out of Afghanistan so we can send 'em to Iran. Yeehaw America!
We need to pull a large number of troops out, (whatever that may be), so we can spend that money on things at home. There has to be an endgame, we can't just indefinitely occupy multiple countries. I'm all for defending our country and our allies, just not the neverending war machine that seems to exist to make huge amounts of money for a small percentage of people.

  10. Installed a 24 X 32 X 12 (Height) and love the extra room to get stuff in and out of the building. If I get back to wrenching on cars I might install a lift and it will make a difference. Remember most garage door openers do not support a 10 foot door and I had to buy a combo from Amazon that included a Chamberlain opener (MED lifting power) with an extension kit. Not super expensive at about $240 and only complaint is the MyQ (Wifi monitoring) does not work because it is a metal building. I am researching I might be able to extend the cable outside somehow to get it working.
This was my thought also, hence the 10' doors. I'm also running the tracks up the scissor trusses to gain the open headroom over the lift.

I believe that the important part is a stronger spring to handle the weight.

Aside from price, my other issue was the desire to have a loft over half of the building. This would be best at an 8ft ceiling, negating one of the 10' doors. I'm going to explore the option of building the loft in the rear of the building.

    I think I could make a 16x16' loft work, but it'll involve a post or two. Trade-offs.....
