  1. Well, they have some other issues they need to figure out...

A co-worker of mine walked around that little area and took video, it's a train wreck. He also confirmed it has a protection racket now as well with other issues.

Let them have their experiment I say, let's see if we can come up with some type of real solution to this police problem.

What is in this area of Seattle? Government buildings, businesses, residences, All of the above?

  2. Who's proposing this?
It's been in two different cities protest demands that I've seen. One being the list of demands above. I can find the other if necessary, but I'd bet it can quickly be found in the Times, Post, WSJ, etc....

Some instances only call for suspension of benefits during investigation, others want to completely defund pensions.

  3. Can someone explain why it is necessary to eliminate the pensions of retired officers??? Oh wait, because they are all evil.

If this actually happens anywhere, I really hope the courts step in to prevent it. These people served the public for an entire career.

  4. Thats sweet. Have you found that App to be accurate?
It's actually the Ohio liquor agency website. The stores are required to report sales. It's pretty accurate.

The main thing I use it for is to know which stores to call. Saves me from calling 20 stores looking for a product.

  5. If anyone finds any cheap green label Weller could they hit a fella up? My Kroger/Giant Eagle hasn't had any in a couple months.
Not sure which part of town you're in but it looks like there's some around town. None in Pickerington though.4cff58ea871bd5e4cfb82e95815795cc.jpg

  6. Holy Shit, Howard and I agree on something.

It's the end times I tell you - plauges, uprisings, what's next dogs and cats living together?

    Locusts!

  7. IMO we over-reacted as a whole and didn't focus enough on where the true responses should have been, namely congregate living facilities. We still continue to roll out shit like it applies the same to everyone when the data clearly shows that's not the case.
I tend to agree in hindsight, having the current info/numbers. I understand the reaction though, because they didn't know what this was going to be. It has still killed a lot of people, and will kill more, so I'm not ok with trading lives for normalcy. Just has to be some kind of happy medium where those who want/need to work, can.

My wife manages a region of 7 nursing facilities, and I can tell you from first hand experience that Ohio has dropped the ball there. Dewine has a history of a bit of a vendetta against long-term care facilities.

  8. ...I could have gotten all of that for you. [emoji38] Well, unsure of the Leopold, but most importantly, how have you never had BT? I have a handle of that. :)
Hahaha, it's just easy to have it delivered right to the door.

Not sure, when I started dipping into bourbon I always went for the more "unique" stuff. It seemed like it was always sold out, when I decided to keep some around for company.

  9. Finally got my previous order (stupid $30 eagle rare was back ordered). Nothing exciting, though the Don is super smooth and I have actually never tried regular Buffalo Trace [emoji44]07637879d788778be4cbba59ec7330cb.jpg

  10. ...I think that's what's happening. That's also why Breonna's name is being brought up again in the midst of all of this. Also, what crime did George Floyd commit that warranted death without trial?

No I don't, necessarily, and no you aren't, necessarily. I believe that you THINK you are though. Ironic that you didn't address the rest of my post. Maybe it's not "ironic". Maybe it's "telling". What the hell are "artificially low speed limits" anyway? [emoji38]

    You're not Libertarian. You're YOU-etarian.

I said earlier that it was unnecessary and that criminals still have rights especially until proven guilty. He may have been a great guy and cleaned himself up since his aggravated robbery with a weapon charges. It just seems that since this is such a common issue, there would be a face for the cause with less baggage.

As I type this, I realize that the video evidence of Floyd's death is obviously why it generated the support it did. Maybe others like Breonna will now be brought to the forefront instead.

  11. Speak up then. Nothing is stopping you from protesting in her honor. I'm assuming you're against the state busting into the wrong house and murdering innocent civilians. That shit should make all Americans pissed off.
You misunderstand, I don't believe any of it is worth the protests and riots. I don't think it's as wide spread as the narrative would have you believe.

There is a racial divide, but it goes way beyond police interaction and even race to socioeconomic. Unfortunately I don't have the answers for that, and struggle to come up with a logical plan to change it. Luckily there are people much smarter than me working on it, they just need to find a means to get this stuff to legislation.

All of these protesters will go back to there lives in a month and do nothing for their "cause", because merica.

So, Since you seem to support the "f*#@ the popo" cause I think there are a couple marches you can still get in on this weekend if you aren't busy.

  12. What law did Breonna Taylor break?
He probably shouldn't have fired at police, if that's what happened, but I feel that the entire movement would be better served with her as their poster child rather than Floyd.

  13. I oddly enough fully agree there should be type of reforms and a profit based traffic ticketing system is not the answer. Unfortunately when you look at the percentages of deaths by african americans vs various groups, death at the hands of police is not statistically the problem.
    Enter: South side Chicago.

  14. wait. if people obey the law police leave them alone. get outta here with that non-sense. it's always someone elses fault.
Hard not to feel this way. I don't consider myself racist. Do I have some subconscious, socially engrained prejudices, and belief that shitty people are just shitty people regardless of race or nationality, probably.

Criminals still have rights, especially until proven guilty...... But, play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Just once I would like to see this kind of uproar/change over an upstanding citizen being harassed/killed by the police. It sure seems like it would be harder to argue, and more easily gain support.

I'm fully aware that it's not that simple, and change needs to happen, but I just can't come up with a logical solution to change a bunch of people on BOTH sides.

  15. I loved it. I was a Bulls fan in the 90's like most kids back then, but Pippen was my favorite player. I actually have more respect for MJ after watching this.

It also reminded me how much better basketball was in the 90's. The NBA is a shell of it's former self.

It was interesting how Pippen screwed himself signing a 6 year deal, and then management wouldn't amend it either.
