  1. I have a guy that is a licensed electrician and does work on the side. Like any side work contractor, it can take him a minute to respond to you, but I promise that he does great work and you won't beat his price unless you have a friend.

He does things for a price that I wouldn't work for.

I'm hesitant to post his info online, so shoot me a pm if you'd like it. I'm getting on the plane in San Francisco, but should have WiFi service.

  2. fucking unreal. sounds like a great trip
It really is. I would recommend anyone doing it at least once. It can be done fairly cheap if you wanted to, there are a lot of cool niche places to stay very reasonably. We made it a point to book cool boutique places and avoid the usual beach resorts. It's been a lot of fun.

The Madonna inn in San Lois Obispo is hilarious and amazing at the same time. This guys vision of a getaway was incredible. It's a quirky Austrian style Mountain inn.

  3. Drove the Corvette to/around LA then switched to a 4 series. The Corvette was fun, but just no room.

Thank you for all of the suggestions and advice, the drive is amazing. Roads are unbelievable, I can't imagine the construction process.d7058979935cd510a3c828338006f07b.jpge2babfc77a6376b7951e74d8775f4396.jpg372765743d2382b199daae365393dc52.jpg

  4. My parents went to that area a couple years ago and, aside from what you already mentioned, I remember them showing me pictures of a glass beach that was pretty neat. I believe it was a stop on the same day they drove through the redwoods.
Thank you, I had actually forgotten about that. Heard about it once before and thought it sounded cool.

I think we are going to hit the Monterey Bay aquarium also.

I would also like to hit a couple good craft beer breweries if anyone knows of them?

  5. Thank you CR. I took your advice, and went with a convertible. I was able to switch it up a little bit, and pick up a different car at Venice Beach, where we are spending the first night.

We'll have either a BMW 4 series convertible or a Mercedes C-Class convertible.

Now that that is taken care of, any places we must stop from those of you who have been there before?

Right now, I have the obvious ones like big Sur, some redwoods, the beach, etc. we are trying to stay at fun boutique hotels, just to change it up.

Night two is at the Madonna inn in San Lois Obispo.

  6. We're driving up the Pacific coastal highway on Tuesday, through Thursday. San Diego to San Fran,/Napa.

It looks like my most reasonable choices for a fun ish car are either:

    1. Jag xe or similar (Mercedes c-class or CTS)

    2. Mercedes E-class or similar ( Volvo s90 or XTS)

    3. V6 mustang convertible [emoji2961]

  7. Not sure what to say about the paying/sponsor of college athletes. It sucks that these schools and the NCAA make so much money off of them, but I also think it will be hard to regulate and may really change college sports consumption/atmosphere.
