  1. "new spot" for tonight is lowe's/Great southern shopping center on south high...South columbus, super trashy area. :/ Even I'm sitting this one out.
  2. Gotta pass, have a birthday party I said I would attend....also help with getting the house ready..
  3. Finally looking to get new tires ordered for my S10 and I need to somewhere to install the tires.. Don't want the lip of the wheels beat to hell or the powder coating inside screwed up/pitted. Working with 19x8.5 wheels and 255/45 tires that I'll probably order from tirerack
  4. Well she's back on the steer, made two all new pipes between the headers and muffler. got one leaky band clamp... Replaced the steering shaft with one that still has good u joints and the damper isn't falling apart. Did end up making it out to CC&C Saturday kinda late. drives amazingly, only thing I really have to compare it to is my dad's Charger Daytona R/T but it rides and handles very similar save for my shit tires. Only negative I've noticed in the roughly 25 miles I've driven it is....SO MUCH VIBRATION BEING TRANSMITTED TO THE STEERING WHEEL, Using poly shock bushings probably didn't help either. But I can live with that considering how well it handles now. Still need to get her up to lucore to get an alignment, but other than that I think it's done for the summer until I can afford new tires.
  5. I never take anything that is picture worthy D: but there were some sexy ass cars last week.
  6. Should have uploaded these and put them in the last post. But heres where I'm at now. http://68.media.tumblr.com/e30005f6be72ea63d0d962837574d4fd/tumblr_opylqkRAgR1suerqbo1_1280.jpg http://68.media.tumblr.com/a7c4711fa88eeaec3bf7bffda0c7c0f2/tumblr_opylqkRAgR1suerqbo2_1280.jpg http://68.media.tumblr.com/8723ad9a747523760a61ca0740fefff7/tumblr_opylqkRAgR1suerqbo3_1280.jpg http://68.media.tumblr.com/02a6f42a2ca9d87955fe8bbe3b41f775/tumblr_opylqkRAgR1suerqbo4_1280.jpg Everything seems to be moving freely, with no binding though I did notice the tire hits the upper control arm at full droop (will literally never see full droop in normal use) gonna bust my ass Friday to get it finished and cleaned up, then there is a 100% of her being at CC&C saturday morning. I'm so stoked to have my baby back so I can stop driving around dad's land yacht silverado... Also been working my ass off double shifting So I should be able to order the new tires in two weeks

    So meets?

Thanks doc, 👍 trying to get some more of my friends out on the weekend doing stuff that doesn't involve all of us getting drunk. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk

    So meets?

Thanks man, totally down. trying to finish up the exhaust on my hoopty so I can take her out. 740 meet was the one in 2015 at buckeye raceway or whatever on west broad right?

    So meets?

Hit up the meet over in the old Chantry shopping center last night, honestly just a bunch of idiots trying to race... Curious for this weekend, are there other meets elsewhere? like is Polaris still a thing?
  10. Finally got shit sorted! coils I installed didn't work, sat nearly on the bump stops, so I ordered a set of viking coilovers and I just got them installed yesterday after work... got them adjusted this morning collars are about 1½-2" up and is about stock height. knobs are both at 4 clicks. threw it all back together this morning and just took it around the hood.... speed bumps are soaked up like my dad's 2006 charger. feels so much more planted than stock.. all that is left is get the front end aligned and hook the exhaust up... Super excited for this now.
  11. Friend of mine is looking for a Turbo Manifold for a I4 2.8l.... Colorado Anyone here wanna tackle making one or have a suggestion of where to go to get one made? and before anyone asks, No idea why he wants to turbo the 2.8 and not ls-swap it....
  12. SWEET MOTHER OF ALL THINGS HOLY! That sounds amazing! Wanna tackle making a set of 180 headers for an ls-swapped s10 loljkjkjk
  13. I WANNA HEAR IT!!!! holy crap it looks so amazing in the car
  14. If I can get my suspension fixed by then, I will be there...
  15. *raises hand* Yo' I'm the Poor CR Minority...
  16. I CAN NOT EVEN RIGHT NOW skimming the thread I see some shitting on the poor and stupid... Been there, where a flat causes me to miss work and spending money I don't have. But, if you have $20 get a ride from a friend and take your happy ass to a junkyard and get a used tire.... not idea I know, but $20 for a tire that will last you until you have the cash to get a set of new tires is a hell of a lot better than R2O.... But I guess the majority of poor people are stupid, and this probably looks like a great deal to them..
  17. Freaking incredible, Wish I had the time, place, and skill to make my own headers. Can't wait to hear these
  18. Factory spring free height is 14" Loaded is 10.75" so hopefully I can get damn close to a stock ride height. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk
  19. The ones I'm looking at are more or less just a cheap hybrid, they have adjustable preload, rebound and damper but they use the stock upper spring mount. So no adjustment in the shock length. I've avoided driving it in the winter the last two years so I guess you could say that.. Sent from my HTC 10 using Tapatalk
  20. That's what I figured, just something I've never really looked into until just now.. Didn't know if bad ride quality was inherent of coilovers, or if it was just poor setup on imports.. Looks like the sets that are sold for my truck both use a 10" spring which is factory spring installed length, so ???? LM7 5.3, 4l60e, ford 8.8, spohn control arms, soon to have 255/45r19's and various other supporting mods. CR build thread
  21. After getting the suspension put together on my S10, I guess the 5660 springs I installed are NOT the same spring rate that I had stock... so the front end is nearly sitting on the bump stops. It's about 1" from the spring pocket WITHOUT the poly bump stops So, I'm looking at QA1 coilovers.. They are a lot more than another set of springs but that is an install I NEVER want to do again. Questions are: 1. Are coilovers worth it for a daily driver? obviously adjustability will make it handle a lot better than stock, but what about negatively affecting the ride quality? 2. Anyone have any idea what spring I would need? seen various people with various LS engines using 350,450 and 550 all with varying results. I don't want to drop it with coilovers, just a stock ride height, maybe 1" lower. I was looking at QA1 one way adjustables, jeg has for $502 w/tax, but after a lot of looking found viking is a prefered brand for the price and with spanner and thrust bearing comes out to $60 more and they are two-way adjustable. I know ricers that throw coilovers on their cars to drop it and then have to run the stiffest spring so it rides like shit,
  22. ordered some new KYB shocks and Bosch o2 sensors that will be here today. Installed the drag link backwards, so I've gotta fix that.. but other than that she is just about ready to drive again, still need to torque down the control arm bolts.. but yeah... here is a shitty clip of the exhaust, didn't take it over 2k because 9am, cold and no o2 on the passenger side. If I am able to get everything put back together before work, I will be at Cars and coffee Saturday morning with her.....if not I might still show up just to take some pictures.
  23. SHE LIVES AGSIN!!!! got the headers installed last night, hooked the battery up backwards and melted the alt. charge wire and melted the terminal out of the battery... changed batteries this morning, and fired right up and sounds AMAZING with open headers..... seriously thinking about getting some cutouts before I rework the exhaust.. All that is left to do is: coolant, steering linkage, torque convertor bolts, exhaust, and shocks. I'll try to get a video of it with open headers, after I get coolant put back in it.. just not sure if my phone or camera will be able to handle it without clipping the audio. headers were a pain in the dick on the passenger side, ended up having to cut the starter shield off the bellhousing of the 4l60e (iirc these were made with a 700r4) there is a slight bit of contact on the bottom of the cab, but they still went into place and bolted up... only part that worries me is I followed the instructions and used the included RTV to seal the headers, and ditched the gaskets...
