  1. Just listing for my dad. It's a 12 bolt for a 2nd gen fbody, has Richmond pro 4.56 gears strange spool, mark Williams 35 spline axles, aluminum drums, C-clip eliminators and TA cover. Set up for ladder bars and leaf springs. Says he wouldn't be afraid to put 2000hp in front of it but [emoji2369] Looking for 1,500 open to offers. You can go through me, or contact him directly 614-816-9465 probably be best to text him. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  2. oooo i thought it was "canceled " for covid.
  3. With Carlisle fast approaching, I haven't even bought the first part yet.. but after driving around the G8, I've kinda been tossing around the idea of leaving the 5.3 stock and using that cam money on a aluminum 6.0 or 6.2... I'd either switch to an E40/T42 or swap out my crank and keep using the 0411. I dunno just a thought. The aluminum block would be nice but I could always just get an l33 block and swap over all my stuff. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  4. I've read it's pretty common, but engines making noise they aren't supposed to irritates me. Shit I can just use a 3 jaw puller? Pretty sure we have one in the garage [emoji28] wasn't sure if that would ness up the crank or not. Thanks guys Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  5. Crank pulley/damper puller for an LS? Changed the old cracked squeaky belt on my G8 this morning and noticed the crank pulley was wobbling, so gonna replace it on Saturday, just curious if anyone has a puller I can use since it doesn't look like any parts stores have the right one.
  6. Getting a cam and AC in the Sonoma before Carlisle in august... Not making that drive again without ac. And at least get a DoD delete done on the G8 Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  7. Was too lazy/cold/busy to clean but here are some better pictures... Reason I didn't do anything Saturday is because I drove up to mentor for a spare sy/ty bumper [emoji23] Like I said it's got some cosmetic issues... The seats being a big one, my sister said she'd look at work for a new set, and from what I can tell a lot of them have cracked bumpers. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  8. I'll try to get some pics today if I can get it cleaned up [emoji28] Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  9. I have no experience but I've been told they eat apex seals about like Subarus blow head gaskets.
  10. The DoD/afm will be getting removed as soon as the weather is decent enough for me to do it... I'll also be turning it off in the tune immediately since I've been reading that it usually goes out when it's active. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks guys, been super hyped for this purchase since I got the bid in early November.. It's got 117k on it and the previous owner had it since 2009. Planning on keeping it pretty mild. Dod with a new Chevrolet performance LS3 cam is about $500 from summit, only looking at doing headers/exhaust, Cai and probably brembos. This is my new DD so I don't want it to be too crazy [emoji23] Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  12. Finally got a full-time bid at ups after 8½ years of part-time struggles... So to celebrate I bought my first nice car. A 2008 G8 GT hot white with onxy/red interior! Needs some minor work. But nothing really I wasn't planning on upgrading already. Now I get to park my Sonoma GT to finish the restoration Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  13. Hot cam, big brakes, and some other upgrades on the Sonoma. And Ideally I'd like to get a G8 GT this summer so I can put the Sonoma up on jack stands like all the other SyTys lol
  14. A Holden Ute SS, a CTS-V wagon or a G8 GXP... I dunno I'm pretty modest when it comes to cars I guess.
  15. My limiting factor is not wires, it's the bulkhead that is only rated for 14amps per pin Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  16. I figured, thought I'd just ask to make sure [emoji28] So I have enough parts and extra wire I "could" add a second mp280 bulkhead to the cap on the sender and use the one with a burnt pin just for the sensor ground and return wire and use the new one for double power and ground 12ga wire. That would be sufficient right? Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  17. Found the issue with my intermittent fuel pump issue.. the bulkhead and both plugs have melted around the power wire.. Using ALL racetronix parts for 14amps and a walbro 450 pump. Since I'm only having issues with the power, I'm wondering if I'd be safe to combine the ground for the pump and sender and run two power wires? Or would I just end up with ground issues then? 18. Never turn down free parts I need [emoji28] Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  19. Final test fit. Don't know what was going on before but the 1.5" spacers look correct for all 4 [emoji2369] need two new tires, two more spacers and new lug nuts and these can go on. Going to do drop spindles in the front a d 3" in the rear. And hopefully I can get the brembos soon so it doesn't look stupid af with those tiny little brakes. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  20. Thanks guy [emoji108] actually working really hard to make this truck look as good as some of the other modified sy/ty. After some more test fitting, it looks like the front need 1.25 and the rears are good at 1.5, but I'll probably just order a full set of 1.25 since I'm running tires a little wider than these on the rear and I don't want any tire poking out from the bed. As for the fronts definitely gotta go with a shorter tire. These are stock 5th gen Camaro 245/50r19 and the hit the back the wheel arch so I'm probably going to go with 245/40 on the front. But as is they fit fine clearing the front and inside of the arch on the ground at the current ride height.kinda hoping I can get these on and ready for a little bit before it starts snowing [emoji23] Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  21. The front it wasn't on the ground because I needed to get .2mm taken out of the center bore on the spacers I have, but the wheel was pushed on the hub as far as it would go which is about 1½"[emoji28] I was going to a use a newer 4wd blazer rearend but at 4½" wider than mine it might push the wheels out a little too far, this is with 1½" spacers on the stock rearend, so I might just have to buy another pair of spacers unfortunately. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  22. Found a decent set of the wheels I wanted, $320 and a tank of gas to go pick them up. Gonna reuse the two htr z iii from my black truck and just need to buy two new tires. Already have a 2001 4wd blazer rearend lined up for free, that way I get disk brakes and it's wide enough I don't need another pair of spacers. The fronts I just need to get the center bore fixed. I think I got a set for a 2nd gen s-series and not a first. I think there is a .2 or .3mm difference in size. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  23. Hopefully something like this [emoji28] it's just find the wheels I want that are less than a set of decent aftermarket wheels... Everytime I find the weird 19" wheels they want over $1,000 for them You and Jeff at Honest speed shop have both mentioned that now [emoji23] Don't see it being for sale any time soon Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  24. Well, as winter closes in I'm going to start working a lot of overtime to pay for more car parts to install in the spring. now that everything on the truck is good with just small things to fix. I'm finally looking at some decent upgrades for performance. Mainly I think I'm going to do a Summit 8720 cam since it's WAY cheaper than the others I was looking at and looks like it should make some decent power. along with that I want to do LS7 lifters, new pushrods and trunnion upgrade while I have the top end apart. Thinking about doing 19" camaro SS wheels, to save a little on tires since I still have two new 19s from my black truck and I'm also looking at swapping out the rearend with one from a 2nd gen blazer because it's wider and will save me having to buy another set of spacers, has disk brakes already and I'd like to find one with 3.73 gears so I don't have to buy an aftermarket set. since it's just a daily and I don't expect to more more than 400hp at the crank stock parts should be just fine. After I get wheels big enough, I will eventually do the CTSV brake swap on the front. So expect to see that stuff happening early/mid 2020, who know maybe after 8½ years I'll finally get a fulltime bid at work and I can push this along much faster.
  25. Damn Facebook [emoji23] I upload these all to my drive when I get off work and share a link for them Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
