Good luck, but I think you are going to need some sticky tires to get into the 11's.
285 michelin super sports going on it whenever my wheels show up. Hopefully they'll be enough for high 11

ported heads, cam, DOD delete, ported intake, ported throttle body, headers, full exhaust, underdrive pulley, injectors, etc. But yes, all motor. stock bottom end.

Going to hit the track in a couple weeks to see what the G8 will do. Are there any tracks preferred over others for friday test and tune? Will be on street tires.

...The car puts down 392 horsepower and 426 lb-ft of torque at the wheels. Do a little back-of-the-envelope math for driveline loss, and it's clear that the 3.5-liter V6 is shoving somewhere around 550 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque into the stock automatic gearbox.

Hot rod made 451 on a 4.8 before going to turbos. Note the arcticle says 5.3 but they later find out at the end it was a 4.8

4.8 as in LS based truck motor? There are plenty of Heads/cam/intake making over 400. You will need to spin higher RPM to get the most out of it.
My 6.0 will be making 540-550 crank HP in a month or so on Heads/cam/intake/bolt ons and they only came with 360

Why not cut it and weld both halves back into a sleeve? Proper material and a good welder and itll be as strong as stock.

We had 2. Sold within a couple days of hitting the lot. I like the interior compared to my G8. But I prefer the agreesive styling of the G8.

I would expect a decent B tech to turn over 40 hours easily, the work is there. I would expect pay to be in mid-teens, but it's based on experience. The right person will know what he's worth and get paid accordingly, it's all negotiable.

So they want street racers to take it to the track to stay "safe". But if you race on the "street" on a show, you are banned from the track. Makes sense.
