I recently discovered AvE on youtube (guy who made mower video). He is one of the funniest and smartest commentators I've yet to find on youtube. His machine work, electrical knowledge, and tool disassemblies are awesome.

You are so jaded, never seen a movie of his I haven't liked.
I haven't found one that I could watch more than 10 minutes of.

I will check the hoses but can't believe that rotors would cause a soft pedal.
If the are under spec, they shouldn't be on the car to begin with
-
are slide pins bound up causing a caliper to cock sideways instead of press on the pads

how wide are they?

9 times out of 10 its the sensor. trucks are bad about corroding where bolt goes through the sensor. and then the corrosion splits the sensor apart

front hubs are the usual culprit for ABS kicking on. Air bag could be anything. seen lots of 4wd issues when mice get into fuse box and either piss all over it, or chew up wires
-
BBC really fucked the goat by losing them. Can't wait for some uncensored Clarkson.
+1.
I think they were betting that Hammond and May would stay on, which of course, they didnt

So far, I like it. Other than the fact that Creative isn't expecting to have an audio driver until October, WTF. Guess I use the crappy onboard audio

I've seen stripped down ecodiesel Rams for mid 20's
Thats cheap. A GM 1/2-ton with average options is at least 40k

He passed me the other day as well. pretty skinny tire on the back for a bolt-on car.
stock size is 245 which looks really small on these big cars. I bumped to a 285 on a 9.5" wheel.

Pretty sure I saw that car at the G8 meet in Dayton. But not sure who the owner is.

Not the fastest pass it'll make this year, but fastest for now. Lifted at 1000ft among other issues

What the problem with 8. Get one of the Shell programs and it works as good if not better than 7

Bump. I ordered a new purge valve as I mentioned. It still hasn't arrived.
I still have a consistent P0496. Yesterday, I filled up the gas tank with 20 bucks worth of gas and the car struggled to start five times. In these five times, it felt like it couldn't get enough gas. Is that related to the purge valve going bad?
Could be. If purge valve is stuck open, its a vacuum leak

Glad you found some, we didn't have them.
We have multiple sets of the other versions, but not the particular kit that this car needed.
-
That's a nice luxury. You have 1000+ yards to work with?
Probably 6-700 safely (hills on all sides). But I'm not that good of a shot with my cheap setup.
-
thanks for those who chimed in. manager ended up overnighting a set from ebay ($500) vs the $1700 that GM wanted.
-
Makes me glad I can go out to my parents and shoot as much and as far as I want.
-
Do you have the kit number? I know we have them but don't remember the location.
i can get the number this morning. I know it ends in -2000

Did the 2nd Gen Northstars end up having the threads pull too? Haven't been on the Cadillac forums in ages, but last I checked the problem was thought to be corrected in the 2nd Gen's with a change in thread pitch? Guess not.[/QUOte]
This car is 04, just had 09 in thurday with popped gaskets too. priced inserts as part of the job.
-
I will have to check monday but I doubt we have them. I will check to be sure though.
That will be awesome. We got Jeff Wyler's kit, but its for the newer engine. And all of our kits are for newer engine as well.
-
Are you looking for a heli coil kit?
Kind of. I need the GM time-sert kit for head bolts on a older version northstar. Has the drill bits, installer tools, and inserts. You drill out all the threads, retap the hole, and then install a threaded insert. Similar to helicoil brand but much much stronger.
Smokhio.
