  1. My contract is going to be up with McGraw Hill very soon and they do not think they will be renewing my contract. If anyone knows of any openings in IT support (Tier 2 or higher) I would be more than happy to work. I am open to other jobs out there or ideas anyone else has. Any help would be much Appreciated. I mean... My 4 Rotor is not going to Fund or Build itself. Resume Below: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1q1vj6vZTPVHPstTT65XlnGj7OgTJylGEdtPzjoP_rMY/edit.
  2. Some Damn good deals here that seem to fit the criteria. some digging might be required http://automobiles.honda.com/current-offers.aspx
  3. I have never had LED lights, but the HID lights on my car work great on back roads and really light up the area when there are no street lights. I would be interested to hear how LED lights work out in the long run because I have considered them in the past.
  4. Off looks alone... I would cast my vote on an Audi A6... I know nothing about it. It just looks like a nice car to own. Sorry Clay, I gotta go with Audi on this one =P
  5. omho you really don't need some of the crap in the "options" menu. Sometimes that gets me when I look at pricing. If I am being completely honest here, yes they can go up to 34k on the GT version. I would rather go with the Touring model at 24k (which is what I was referring to in my op) but i guess if you really wanted all the bells and whistles the Grand Touring is 29k - 34K in price. I guess I should have specified the version of the car I was talking about.
  6. I honestly Disagree with that statement. I was car shopping in the past year and drover several Mazda 6 and Mazda 3 and I never once noticed any sound deadening or anything that was not comfy. For me, the seats were nice and heated with plenty of comfort and I never once heard any unwanted noise. I will say that this was a personal feeling and not a universal one. I would honestly check out a Mazda 6 or give one a test drive at the very least. A fully loaded one brand new is around 23-24k which is a bit cheeper then the other options mentioned. I would also say that if you can snag a cadillac CTS-V for a good price they are not to bad from what I hear and they have a Thupercharger =D
  7. I thought I would share some "Proper" Pics of my car with you all. And for those interested, This is a video of a bad Fuel Resistor on my 8 before I replaced the wiring. (Can't get it to play with the Youtube button)
  8. I will be there for sure. I can't wait to meet everyone =D
  9. Looks awesome! Best of luck on your project man. please keep posting pics
  10. For anyone who is interested the engine in the OP's post closely resembles that of "Cookey's Rotary Steam Engine" from 1901
  11. Sorry for the potato quality, but this is a video of the little parts and at the end the engine is running. Not the exact one in the images from the OP but still a very interesting video in my opinion. P.S. I want one of these <3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9Rk9IjEBRs I think the link in OP's post is actually one of the many different ways you can make a Rotary Engine, I have a book from the 70's which shows many different mathematical ways one "could" build a rotary engine, and I know this was one of the shapes. There were some crazy ones in there, like one that had over 8 combustion chambers. If I find the book ill post an image of the different types of Rotary engines they theorized.
  12. Hey Wes, its Mike from CC&C
  13. Interesting, how would I go about doing that? is that something I could do myself? or will I need to take that into a shop to have it done? What will the REW swap do performance wise?
  14. 1. A Shinka edition is a special version of the car which only ran in 2005 and 2006. the 2005 version was limited to ~1300 vehicles and only came in black cherry. The 2006 versions were limited to 1500 vehicles and were available in cooper red, but could be ordered in other colors if the buyer wanted. The main difference in a Shinka edition hardware wise is the leather interior, leather wrapped steering wheel and parking break, heated seats, polyurethane suspension, higher powered engine, and a few other goodies. All of these could be ordered on other models but none included the "Shinka Badge" on the rear door's pillar. You always want to watch out for fakes though, people can buy Shinka badges online and tend to slap them on non Shinka vehicles to up their value. Always run the VIN# to check if it is a true Shinka. 2. No plans at this point to do a Chrysler swap. I am saving my money for a 3 or 4 Rotor someday.
  15. Thanks for the warm welcome all! No LS swap in my future, but you can mark my words "I will do a 3 or 4 Rotor someday!" I will be sure to scale my pictures down in the future and post them directly as opposed to links, Sorry about that one. I am excited to learn more about everyone's ride and I will try and keep my apex seals safe =P
  16. Hello all, My name is Mike and I am a regular at CC&C. I was referred here by Clay and Wes and I look forward to meeting new people on the forum and learning more about your cars and your passion behind them. My Car: 2006 Mazda RX-8 Shinka Edition (#1148 - 1500) My Story: I just recently caught the bug and have learned a lot about cars in the past few years when I was going through College. When I was younger a had a lot of toy cars that I played with but my favorite was a little Mazda 787B and an RX-7. Being so young I had no idea what a Rotary engine was and years later read a few books on the engine to educate myself (I only liked the cars for their paint colors at the time). After all this I really just wanted to buy a Rotary powered car and received a lot of (negative) feedback from friends on reasons why I should never buy a car with that engine. for my own personal reasons I decided to pursue my dream and purchased a 2006 Mazda RX-8 in the summer of 2012 and have been loving her ever since. My car has has its ups and downs but I am learning a lot about my car and have been getting into different Mazda and Rotary communities. I am excited to join this community and discuss cars with other car lovers and learn more about other peoples rides and their passion for their cars as well. Also, Pics... Had to do links because they are quite large https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-u8kR9aSW5fc/VIXbOTNw78I/AAAAAAAABiA/JkLivnOMa-s/w1834-h1376-no/2014-05-08%2B19.52.53.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-pXweulS5MGk/VIXbOQLrBAI/AAAAAAAABh8/U5laNoIGl5U/w1834-h1376-no/2014-05-08%2B19.52.28.jpg https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-_iR8kjndE8U/VIXbOV5YVOI/AAAAAAAABh4/rXi4Zt94g1c/w1834-h1376-no/2014-05-08%2B19.52.03.jpg https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-BHmhwn5mtLQ/VC1np2h4PsI/AAAAAAAAAi4/AeIFz9xMJAQ/w778-h1376-no/IMAG0050.jpg
