i'v done a few interviews with Ohio State before in their IT and possible teaching. There is a lot of competition and they like people that stand out. I have made it to the final 3 a few times but nothing turned into a full time job. They use a filtering system in their emails when you submit an application so be sure to find the contact information of someone in the department you are looking at here and send them your resume directly. If you do not directly contact someone your application will sit in limbo for a while. Happened to me many of times. Best of luck to you though in your search. Pearson and McGraw Hill are always looking for more people as well. Great companies both of them.

Unfortunately I do not see this enough to accept that people know how to merge properly. the ramp from 270S/670 is a nightmare for me any day, because many people never use their blinkers to change lanes over there. Not saying this is universal, but I'v almost been wrecked by people over there a great number of times because they cant merge or signal properly. I know it's not the East side really, but I feel I might as well vent about how fucked up the Cleveland Ave. and High Street exits are with all their construction. Takes me 32 minutes on a good day to get from Westerville to High Street. Absolutely ridiculous!

Simple and easy to understand article explaining how mining works http://bitcoin.org/en/how-it-works One of the problems I have found with mining is it takes a LONG ASS time to generate just 1 Bitcoin. For a little while I had a little system mining 24/7 and could barley generate much of anything in terms of free money. Honestly I did not understand that you need a system built specifically for Bitcoin mining to turn a profit imo. Something like this:

I am an AMD fanboy... no guilt at all. Some people like Intel, but they both have their pros and cons. If you are looking for the best "price per value" system I have always recommended that people go with an AMD CPU based system to get the most "bang for their buck". If you have no problems spending the extra mile and maximum performance is what you want then Intel CPU are the way to go. I have an older system with an FX-4100 CPU, a XFX 6950 GPU, and 8 GB of ram that I built for ~$600 and it ran silky smooth through everything i threw at it (LOL, Minecraft, Anno 2070, Civ 5). The system is currently used to host one of my two Minecraft servers and has a 99.7% up-time and has never crashed on me. What games are you interested in playing? most casual games do not require a super strong GPU or CPU, so make sure you do not overspend on something that is unnecessary. For example, if you were only going to play Minecraft and League of Legends then that system would not need crazy hardware to run but if you want to run something like Battlefield or Shadow of Mordor then you will need a little extra grunt in the system to keep your FPS at ~60.

I am unaware of any good torrents of interstellar, all I have found are shitty cam versions of the movie. Were you able to find one that is not a cam version? It's a great movie and I was thinking of buying the blu-ray combo off amazon for $20 just to have the DVD, blu-ray, and digital versions. Thoughts?

Like BIGGU said, be sure to print out anything from newegg, amazon, etc. when you go into Microcenter to have them price match everything. I just built my brother a $1100 system and they knocked off $120 at the checkout when they priced matched everything. Best of luck to you in your build =D

I was just about to ask this same thing. If the drive spins up then you are in business. When I did work for IT we would always inform people that it was stupid expensive to have their data recovered by a company in the event that they could recover it. The reason for the weird names is that data recovery software will always puke out a generic name or the HDD sector that it found that data on. There are a lot of variables to talk about when you are looking into data recovery, has the drive been used since it was pulled? has new data been written over the old data? was it ever formatted? during that time? and many more. If you feel like trying it yourself for a cheep price you can go to Microcenter and buy a USB SATA adapter for the drive for less then $20 and then download "Recuva" or "Active File Recovery" and give them a shot. I have used both and they work, but they take a LONG time to do full and deep scans. Best of luck in getting your shit back.

=) Thanks for all the help everyone. If anyone has any other pro-tips please let me know. This will be my 4th PC build, first gaming rig build. I WILL POST THIS IS THE GARAGE SALE SECTION....BUT.... i figured why the hell not do this now... anyone want to buy or know someone who might want my Alienware M17x R4? CPU: Core i7-3630QM 2.4 Ghz GPU: AMD 7970m Ram: Vengance 8GB (4 dimm slots, only two in use, up to 32GB) slot load Blu-Ray 1920x1080p 17.3 inch display HDMI input (you can plug any HDMI device PS4, Xbox one, etc. into the laptop and it will show up on the main display) I can pm anyone if they want to know more about the system. The Good: Amazing system, very well built and eats through most demanding games on high settings. newest games need to be set to around medium to get 60 FPS. Speakers are very loud (klipsch). dual hard drive bays. Blu-ray drive is awesome for movies. Alienware FX lighting is one of a kind and can do just about any color. The Bad: small dent on the right speaker on the bottom of the system. small separation of the body near the back right where the HDMI input is. both these came from the strap on my bag breaking and fell about 3 feet to the sidewalk when i was walking. No damages to internal components. This series of laptop also had a driver problem that Dell never fixed with the Audio on the system. If you put the system to sleep, then close the lid sometimes when you go to wake it back up Windows will say that there is no audio device on the system. This is a driver issue that dell never bothered to fix. The solution? just don't put the system to sleep and you will be fine. If you need to be on the move I would recommenced just shutting it down because there is a slim chance that your audio driver with shit out and then you have to reboot to get it to find it again. The microphone port is a little screwy on this system as well. I use a USB ROCCAT headset so this has never been an issue, but for some odd reason I would always be quiet or not audible on peoples ends when I talked with them. Asking $1100 OBO

thats weird... I have never had any driver problems with my 7970m on the latest AMD drivers. I even used the BETA ones for a while and had no real issues other then MASSIVE amounts of heat.

This system is based off @unfunnyryan's build I went with AMD on this build and swapped out a few bits here and there. I already have a 256GB SSD which I am going to take out of my laptop when I sell it. I wonder if Microcenter will price match this? CPU: AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core Processor ($159.88 @ OutletPC) CPU Cooler: Corsair H55 57.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($44.99 @ Amazon) Motherboard: Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($108.99 @ SuperBiiz) Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($69.99 @ Amazon) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($39.99 @ Best Buy) Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon R9 290X 4GB WINDFORCE Video Card ($279.99 @ Newegg) Case: Corsair Carbide Series 300R Windowed ATX Mid Tower Case ($79.99 @ Amazon) Power Supply: Corsair CX 600W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($59.98 @ OutletPC) Optical Drive: LG WH16NS40 Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer ($54.89 @ OutletPC) Keyboard: Razer DeathStalker Wired Gaming Keyboard ($59.99 @ Amazon) Total: $958.68 (after rebate) Microcenter Online Price: CPU: $149.99 - Cooler: $59.99 + MoBo: 139.99 + ($124.99 rebate) Memory: $69.99 = HDD: $56.99 + GPU: 349.99 + Case: $69.99 - PSU: $74.99 + BR-DD: $44.99 - Keyboard: $59.99 = Total: $1076.90 (online price, no open boxes or used equipment) Just noticed that Microcenter has a deal going on where if you buy a processor you get a Mobo bundle for $40 off the price. VERY tempting to go with the i5 unlocked now... choices... choices... choices

Interesting suggestions all. I am interested to know if it is worth spending the extra money to go all Intel and Nvidia. My only reason for going all AMD was the price and most of the time I see regular performance of an AMD chip/GPU just slightly behind an Intel one and I am not trying to max out frames or anything (~60 fps is fine with me) but i have a tiny little desktop that I made for under $300 that I use for a Minecraft Server with an FX-4300 that came out of the box 3.7 GHz but I overclocked it to 4.4 GHz on the stock cooler and the thing has never failed or freaked out once. I was very impressed at how AMD chips can be overclocked, how well do Intel chips these days handle overclocking? OC on liquid cooled systems? I'm just curious.
