  1. Finally, some more progress! The Moog upper ball joints came today. Got them installed and torqued down. Greased all the zerks with Schaeffer's 238 Ultra Supreme. Front suspension is finally done...again! Ran into a problem with the new washer fluid pump. The new rubber washer is thicker than the stock one and the filter nut can't thread on. I just ordered a new filter nut and will be going to the hardware store for a thinner rubber washer soon. 63 by BuckeyeBOSS, on Flickr 61 by BuckeyeBOSS, on Flickr 62 by BuckeyeBOSS, on Flickr
  2. Haha, now it's just a delay... http://gmauthority.com/blog/2019/06/report-there-will-be-no-seventh-generation-chevrolet-camaro/
  3. I've been saying for years, I think a budget minded ~$25k entry level V8 Camaro would sell comparably well. The problem is with all the factors against it, it probably wouldn't be profitable enough in today's environment. I don't think GM would ever price it that low and not sure they would even be able to now. The new for 2020 LT1 trim is a more budget minded entry level V8 they have coming out under the SS, but it still only knocks off ~$3k from the price.
  4. The 6th gen Camaro is the best car of the 3 in most ways. But one of its strengths is also a weakness when it comes to sales. The car is smaller and lighter than the Mustang and Challenger, but that also makes it less practical and tougher for people to fit into. Also, people don't seem to like the high beltline and smaller windows when it comes to visibility inside the car. I think the 19 corporate/pickup truck facelift was a HUGE mistake, it is fugly and was NOT well received. They hurried and cleaned it up for the 20, which is an improvement over the 19. I think they could have saved a TON of money and made the car look better simply making the SS look a bit more like the ZL1. Then you add in other factors: These cars aren't affordable anymore by many of the people who actually do want them (some younger people and older working people with families that may want the car for a toy). Millenials as a whole not giving a crap about performance cars or cars in general. CUV's flooding the market. EV's coming. Certain political agendas. I guess I don't need to tell you guys here, you know.
  5. LOL, I've owned Mustangs before, might again in the future, who knows. Or maybe a Challenger. If those cars make it into the electric and self driving era.
  6. We'll see: https://www.musclecarsandtrucks.com/exclusive-seventh-generation-chevrolet-camaro-shelved/
  7. I haven't priced this stuff specifically for his app, but I would think: -LS3 is much cheaper than LS7, I would think even with a dry sump conversion -LS3 will more than handle his current ~420 rwhp level and more -LS3 is pretty boost friendly from what I hear, if he has plans for that -LS7 will make more HP N/A than an LS3, around 600 rwhp is pretty easy N/A -LS7 is already dry sump as NB said -LS7 is NOT A CHEAP MOTOR If he has money to burn, an LS7 swap would make a unique BA N/A track car motor. In my biased and humble opinion, the LS7 is really one of the all-time great engines, especially N/A. If more budget minded and/or boost in the future or doesn't need max HP N/A, LS3 all the way.
  8. Glad everyone is safe. Like others have said, if we can help somehow, just let us know. Sounds like you're doing pretty well under the circumstances.
  9. The only other thing we did today on the car was replace the old headlights with LED's. These are the 2018 New Osram Chips 110W 5x7's. Fit and plugged right in. Man what a nice difference! A lot more light and these have nice cutoffs to not blind other drivers. Now off to work on the deck again. 50 by BuckeyeBOSS, on Flickr 51 by BuckeyeBOSS, on Flickr 52 by BuckeyeBOSS, on Flickr 53 by BuckeyeBOSS, on Flickr 54 by BuckeyeBOSS, on Flickr
  10. Finally got back around to the upper ball joints this morning. Took them off the car. The retainers are trashed. The machine shop clearly installed them wrong. I just ordered 2 Moog's as replacements.
  11. I think and hope you both will find that your love for your child will be very different than your love for each other and not detract from that. "Love" in the English language is way too broad of a word, there are just very different ways it applies and is experienced. As my mother in law has said, "you don't have a fixed amount of love, your love just grows". I've found that true even while having more than one child, you don't love your other children any less when you have more kids. My advice is just to make sure you both make your daughter feel loved and also make sure you still take some time for yourselves. The "love" part will probably be easier than the "time" part, honestly. And if you don't know what the "love languages" are, I think it's worth some time to learn about and talk to your wife about so you both are on the same page with each other.
  12. Very nice! I had Magnaflows on my 545 in the 69 Mustang, they sound good.
  13. Thanks man. I'd like to say about 2 weeks, but who knows. I spent from 8 AM until 5 PM today working on our deck, which still needs a lot of work, too. I discovered the windshield washer fluid reservoir/pump leaking last night and pulled it out early this morning (had to remove 2.5 body panels to do it). Doing my best to get it on the road and out of my garage. This had me worried, I thought it was a coolant leak for awhile, since the washer fluid and old DexCool coolant were the same orange color. Ordered a new pump. 45 by BuckeyeBOSS, on Flickr
  14. Short night tonight. Just cut and bent the trans fluid line to the radiator that I needed and put the air filter housing back on. Waiting for the spill proof funnel kit to arrive for the coolant. Will take care of that this weekend then redo the upper ball joint boots if they show up soon. Then start on the weatherstrip. 20190620_170159 by BuckeyeBOSS, on Flickr 20190620_173825 by BuckeyeBOSS, on Flickr

  16. Plenty of space, especially with the AC condenser out now, but we didn't plan on it. We actually didn't plan on replacing the radiator though either, we just found the stocker leaking last week.
  17. The new radiator and Prothane mounts came tonight. The new radiator is a 3 row all aluminum, vs the stocker with plastic tanks. Since the new radiator is thicker, I had to trim the new mounts with a razor to fit. We got the reservoir out, cleaned, and reinstalled. Then installed the radiator. Everything is hooked up now except for one of the trans fluid lines. I need to cut and bend a new short piece of hardline for it to attach to the radiator. 42 by BuckeyeBOSS, on Flickr 41 by BuckeyeBOSS, on Flickr 43 by BuckeyeBOSS, on Flickr
  18. Just heard back from PST, they are sending new upper ball joint boots. Great customer service. Looking forward to making some progress this weekend. I'd love to get this thing off to an alignment in the next 2 weeks.
  19. Everything about that website is GLORIOUS.
