  1. This price slash might be Dodge's response to the $60k C8. If so, C8 already affecting the market in a good way for consumers: https://www.thedrive.com/news/29238/dodge-will-give-you-a-10-discount-per-horsepower-to-buy-a-challenger-charger-or-durango
  2. B/c I'm bored: http://gmauthority.com/blog/2019/07/new-2020-corvette-c8-suspension-lifts-nose-over-speed-bumps-parking-curbs/

  4. C8 allotment almost sold out already... http://gmauthority.com/blog/2019/07/mid-engine-2020-chevrolet-corvette-stingray-is-almost-sold-out-for-first-year/
  5. Conventional for a break-in period or for the entire life of the engine?
  6. Chevrolet responded to Motor1.com saying, “We have nothing more to add beyond re-confirming that the 8-speed DCT is the only transmission offered on the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.”
  7. Very nice! Those are some magazine cover looking pics.
  8. I guess I'm ignorant on this part, but why would GM spend so much time and money trying to lock the ECU down so hard? Is it a regulation or liability type of thing? God forbid cars be easier to tune.
  9. $55,800? Wow. Then possible to get a bare bones Z51 for probably a tick over $60k? I dig it.
  10. LOL. Think Ford will sell a GT for around $60k? Yeah, who knows yet about the DCT or a lot of things. I'm still curious to see how it pans out, especially the numbers that it will actually put down.
  11. Really, if the responses on the various forums I've browsed are any indication, it's going to steal some sales from quite a few cars. Very positive response.

  13. My wife dailys a 2017 Charger with the V6/8 speed. It's fine for commuting, but it's a completely different driving experience from my 392/5 speed car. Speed is relative I guess, but these are also big heavy cars. The Charger and Challenger are pretty similar, except the number of doors.
  14. Good deal man. I've always loved Grabber Blue, too. Pics never seem to capture the right shade though.
  15. Been reading some other car forums today. The C8 and what it brings for the price, sure seems to have won over a lot of the internet. Even owners of other brands. My hope is that it helps bring some of the other car prices back down to Earth, even if just a little.
  16. This is everything that is wrong with the modern car world IMHO. It's not uncommon to see a line of several of the world's most bland Honda commuters in a row around here. It's disgusting.
  17. I think I like the blue with black accent look the best on the C8, I always thought the red C7's looked the best. I'd still take a ZL1 Camaro over it though.
  18. Poor Cali. It used to be one of the cool car centers of the world, now it's just gross.
  19. I wonder if quite a few Camaro ZL1 owners will be trading in their 6th gen ZL1's soon for the C8? Hmm, might be a good thing.
  20. Will be interesting to see real world performance numbers, but it would seem to be a good performer for the money, shocked at the price. Not a huge fan of the looks, but it's decent. I'll be interested to see what direction Camaro goes after this.
