  1. Fart aliens. That explains why they always anal probe people.
  2. Man it looks pretty uneventful and goes straight, too.
  3. Yep. Then you get into the whole, why cancel only sports games (but not practices and training, etc), but then let ~50k kids back on campus at all? And specifically for football players, instead of being locked down with the team Friday afternoon through Sunday afternoon with game prep, the game, post game film, training, practice, etc., they now have their entire weekends free to party with the thousands of students.
  4. Ah ok. I have seen articles mentioning the bubble approach and that at the college level, could possibly affect the "amateur" status of the "student-athletes". Although I will say, the amount of time these college athletes spend on their sports and school work, they are basically in a bubble most of the time already anyway.
  5. Have you read any articles on other sites, or just what's in this thread? There is actually quite a bit to it, much of which isn't even mentioned in this thread. I don't actively follow any sport besides college football. What have pro sports been doing?
  6. Not sure on % to cancel or not. Technically the football playoff is a separate entity from the NCAA, even though they obviously work together. For now, the playoff says they are still on.
  7. Happily signed it on Sunday. Had around 250,000 signatures in about 24 hours. The Big Ten should have at least postponed their decision (whatever they ended up deciding) and been transparent with their reasoning. The commissioner, Kevin Warren, went on BTN and had no answers for their reasoning to cancel. He looked like a fool. Now it's coming out there may not have actually been a vote, possibly a lie for the President's that voted to cancel to save face? There just hasn't been transparency. Parent groups have sent letters and lawyers are now getting involved. Kind of weird you'll have like 50k people going to classes at OSU soon, teams will continue to train and practice, but the only thing cancelled are the actual games, once a week. BTW, Kevin Warren's son plays in the SEC at Miss St. and it appears he will be playing soon.
  8. So the issue is a valve guide problem that may result in dropping a valve. You will find all kinds of opposing info online as to how common it may or may not have been, how to do the wiggle test, etc. For me, it is enough of a concern to either buy a car with the heads already "fixed" or budget enough in your purchase price to have it done yourself. Really, you get to have ported heads, more power, and less worry. The LS7 is a very special motor in a lot of ways, but this is the one thing to be a bit concerned about IMHO. I'd rather have ported heads with the valve guides fixed than drop a valve any day.
  9. He's a Ford guy, he's used to "fluid" situations.
  10. He said that, but also that he hopes to play in Jan-March. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  11. Any conference that plays this season will reap a HUGE harvest of talent, and therefore on-field results and money, and more talent, and so on. It will affect the cfb landscape for years to come. BIG won't retract anything, it's done. The BIG's only hope is that no other conference plays this season. I can tell you the BIG has been getting hammered online and OSU flooded with pissed off ticket holders and fans. Even though OSU wanted to play.
  12. It's not over yet, OSU is still exploring other options. That said, this will set the Big Ten back a very long time with recruits and on-field results. Especially with the modern transfer portal. If any other conference is allowed to play this season.
  13. Eh, now you're starting to get political, and I really don't want to do that. Announcements should be coming soon. I can't see anyone being forced to go to a game if they are afraid to do so for any reason, employees included.
  14. This saga is far from over yet. Some official announcements should be coming later today from the BIG, OSU, and DeWine. OSU's new president, AD, and coach are working their butts off to make something happen.
  15. Thoughts? Russia-based Aviar has a third alternative. It announced plans to build a carbon fiber-bodied, Tesla Model S-based coupe called R67 that's shaped like a first-generation Mustang fastback. https://www.autoblog.com/2020/08/06/aviar-r67-electric-tesla-ford-mustang/#slide-2255283
  16. Check the water pump. They are known to go bad and sound like a bad belt.
  17. I'm not a Jeep or truck guy, but that 392 Wrangler is BA. Would probably cost $100k new though.
