  1. Anyone happen to have one? Rashed/cracked doesn't matter.
  2. Sounds like a killer truck. I'm decently familiar, my best friend owns Waggoner Diesel Performance and i've learned quite a bit from him. Mainly how much it costs to really play with them hahahahaha. I actually bought a truck last weekend. Decided to save a little on the payment for now and picked up an 04 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi quad cab SB in black, black wheels, tint, etc. Will def be looking for a diesel again in a year or so lol.
  3. Yes, it is not an AMA testing event, it is a trackday that he was using for some extra setup time. The key is he and the other guys were able to run those times and be able to avoid the traffic. I prefer the time when we gave the AMA guys a separate session. It was I,A,and AMA. I instructed and then went out and ran with the AMA guys sans vest. The big thing with the times in Advanced is the wide array of equipment as well. Motards, SV's, 250's, etc. Race pace on an sv at mid-o hovers in the low 1:4x to higher 1:3x depending on who's pushing. So to say you must run a 1:4x at a trackday wouldn't be right. I'd prefer to have people running 1.50 and faster personally, but it really is easier to just be able to watch people's lines and see if they are advanced in their skills on the track and bumping based on that. Sure some guys could crank some fast laps, but if they aren't in control to do so then that doesn't matter.
  4. Todd nailed it. Throw the lap times out the window. Experience and consistency are the important things. Being able to lap at a comfortable pace that is consistent in line choice and being comfortable with passing and being passed at different rates. It's def not racing in advance, no matter what some people think. The biggest thing is the faster riders being able to predict what you are going to do so they can plan a safe clean overtake.

Def over prep if you can. It's not just for the higher groups, it's great for safety as well. Atleast the small safety wiring and taping and be sure to do a full inspection of everything. Make sure things are tight and continue to check as things will vibrate loose sometimes

i'd rent a uhaul pickup or something. Tracking a car and driving is one thing. But doing it with a bike is another story. Believe me after a whole day you will be physically and most importantly, mentally drained. I personally wouldn't even try it, which is why i'm currently buying a pickup and sold my m3.

I should be able to help you out when you come out. Plenty of little tips and tricks that make learning the line much easier at mid-o. Now going "fast" is a whole 'nother conversation lol

Sounds like the 18th is going to be a darn good time! Everyone should be up to speed by then, gorgeous weather, and the racing comin to town. I can also help with suspension/tire stuff between instructing.
  10. I'd love that truck, but $24k is way too much for the mileage. I've also opened up to 24v trucks under $14k
  11. Looking for a Common Rail QCSB 4x4. Prefer black or Slate grey, SLT, under 175k miles and under $20k if possible. I have a few local dealers looking as well, but figured I'd toss it out here too.

  14. hey guys, there's a nice new setup that has been launched. Sportbike leather service in Clinton Michigan. Chat with Dan at 734-660-5578. Probably where my stuff will be going.
  15. I used to use an oxygenated 110oct VP fuel. can't remember the name though... the talon looooooved it. would drop .5-.7 in the 1/4 just swapping the fuel. Injectors were too big though, so could never get a real nice tune on it with the bigger setup. on the 14b turbo it literally went from 13.19 on 93 to 12.6 on the 110. It wasn't too expensive either.
  16. Still have it. 2 guys coming to see it from Cleveland and one trying to fly in from St. Louis. Looks like it'll be gone by Tuesday. I'm in Cleveland all weekend or its be sold then haha.
  17. lol, indeed the opportunity may present itself...
